  1. A agree with that 3-D thing 100%.. A while back (While I lived in Denver Co.) I was a member of a Quake clan.. I honelty don't have many fond memories of it, it was actually sort of stressful.. and some maps gave me motion sickness, and I also forgot to blink alot. I think the main attraction of quake was the internet play. I still play new PC games, but I just don't get into them. All my warm fuzzy memories are in 2-D. My name was Redneck_Ed of Clan FLEM. :-)
  2. A friend of mine emailed me this and I thought I would it, (with his permission of course). http://www.atari2600.net/aspConversation.asp His 8 year old son in mention is a true video gaming wizard, I've watched him play Mario 64, and act like he was one with the controller... He looks around every corner and at every angle.. It's sort of creepy in a way.. He's been playing since he was like 2..
  3. Wow Tempest, the bitterness just pours from every orifice with you.. Why so bitter.. I thought the Robsterman has been keeping it pretty cool this last week. Where all in this together. ~Red Green Later, Joel D. Park http://www.atari2600.net
  4. Wow, that's an awesome article. The only thing I can say is that I will never ever become a customer of Meryll Lynch in any form. I'm looking forward to Atari 2.0...
  5. Also, go now and get the Ebay'ers phone number from ebay. I forget exactly where you go, but email me if you need some help finding it. That way, if the seller up and run's you still have a chance of calling them on the phone.
  6. Don't laugh me off the boards, but I really used to enjoy E.T. back in the day. It got a really bad rap, but once you learn how to play it, it is pretty darned cool. Later, Joel D. Park www.atari2600.net
  7. Don't give up hope yet. You never know, I bought some items off a guy who nearing the end of the auction had a serious surgery and never replied to me for like 3 weeks. All was good after that point. Good Luck. Joel D. Park
  8. I've only been collecing NTSC games, my finds are reaching an end. Sounds like by the count of the games you guys have, I should start looking into some PAL stuff. Later, Joel D. Park
  9. Sorry. I'm not the guy George was talking about, but he's mentioned the same fellow to me. Later.
  10. Hi, I checked the Rom library on this site and can't seen to find the roms for: Alice's Abernateur Star Wars: Ewok Adventure Yar's Quest I'd love to check them out. Any hints? Thanks in advance.
  11. Yep, I agree with you there 100%. There was barely any room to walk around. I'm sure I missed looking at alot of stuff, but it was still alot of fun. It was also very hot. I mentioned how crowded the place was to a few of the staff guys. They had no idea it was going to be such a huge turn out.
  12. Yep, it was me. You totally OWN3D me in at ball blazer . So Tempest, did you get everything you wanted from Philly. I saw you buy the Compumate Keyboard. Get any other awesome stuff?? I got Miner 2049er Volume 2 and some great new homebrews. Thrust is awesome, and the 256 Game multi-cart works beautifully. QB is also very cool but I haven't taken alot of time to play the game.
  13. I gave 40 bucks for it. I got it from the fellow who was getting all his prices directly out of the digital press guide. He said, the guide says 60 bucks but I'll take 40... What could I do? :-) He was excited when he sold it, he yelled "I Sold It!!" :-) That was the only really rare find. It was just awesome to be there and hang out with all the Atari guys.
  14. There is the Classic Gaming Expo in August. The grand daddy of all classic gaming shows. It's in Las Vegas. A little closer than philly for you
  15. I've got a great friend named George Reese I trade atari with all the time. He live in Simi Valley, CA . I'm sure he would love to talk to some slighly more local atari guys. His email is: [email protected]
  16. The Phillyclassic was great. And it was great to meet some of you folks there. "Tempest" even kicked my butt in a game of 7800 Ballblazer. I loved the way all the atari folks got along. I don't think I heard a single complaint from anyone. Later guys. Joel D. Park
  17. Hi, I picked up a BMX Airmaster cart for the 2600 and I seem to have some trouble getting it to play on my 6 switch atari. When I hit the fire button it seems ot reset the Atari. If I do the same stuff on my 4 switch it works fine. Is this a common problem with this game?? Thanks, Joel D. Park
