  1. I see alot of people wanting to trade this for that so I figured I'd post this. If someone has something really good, I would of course pay extra cash. I've been considering selling off some of my smaller collections and just concentrating on 2600 and NES (Systems I actually owned as a kid). Here's what I have: -------------------------------------------- --I have a fair Colecovision collection, the hardware is mostly all there, and I have a pretty good set of games. --I have a NEarly complete Atari 7800 collection (lots of boxes), all the rarest games are in there, Tank Command, Water Ski (Boxed), Mean 18 (I bought this in the U.S. but the screen rolls, so it's probably PAL), plus hardware. --A kind of nice Atari 5200 Collection, Nothing incredibly rare, but still a nice collection, spare working joysticks and a 4 port. --Hundreds of atari 2600 games and NES games (my dupes actually). Here is What I Want: Of course I can add extra money. ---------------------------- --A set of drums, I want a full size set, they don't have to be great. But should be decent quality. I don't play drums but am interested in learning and/or donating them to our Church. --A Taylor, Gibson or Martin acoustic guitar If you have one let me know hopefully we can work something out. --Guitars, Electirc/Acoustic for parts or whatever. Pickups, switches, necks.. --Any other kind of recording, mixing equipment, we'll talk. Thanks, Joel D. Park [email protected]
  2. I tried to come up with a list, I've been kind of inactive the last year on trading and have just lately picked up again. This list is compiled from old emails, so it's possible I missed folks or I'm using your real name and not your Atari age handle. I put (Awesome) beside any of my "Regular" traders. That doesn't mean anyone else on the list is any less trust-worhty. Sean Kelly Snider-Man Lonesome_Pa Jah Fish (Alot of successful trades before Thrust +) Maxime Beavius George Reese (Awesome) Dan Cage (Awesome) Skatepunk 76 Charin (Awesome) A2600 Billy Eno Joe Houde (Same as Skatepunk?) Thimo Graff Joe Rodd (Awesome) Albert (Of Course) Bryan Garcia I'll probably have more names sooner or later.
  3. I once babysat my friends 4 and 8 year old boys in exchange for Xonox Sir-Lancelot single ender. It was a total nightmare.. And a really long story.. But by the time the night was over, I had two kids hopped up on sugar, a foot chase though Aurora Colorado and me in the corner praying for death in the fetal position. I can't honestly say that the game was worth it, but maybe the stories I can tell made it worth while.
  4. I was kind of impressed at how consistant the hand written labels are. The fellow that labeled them and sold them took alot of time making sure the labels all looked about the same. Though I've seen some with different color lettering.
  5. I emailed you, but I don't know if you got it for sure. I tested the sticks one worked the other won't go rigtht or left, I don't remember. I'll sell both for 5 plus shipping, if that's too high let me know, I'll work out a deal. They are set aside for you.
  6. Any idea of the rarity/value of an Off Your Rocker cart. -- The Amiga cart with the hand written label on it. http://www.atariage.com/cart_page.html?Sof...ItemTypeID=CART It doesn't seem too popular, is that because of it's rarity, or do people just not want carts with hand written labels.
  7. I get a few "Officially" bad carts. Most carts just need a cleaning.. (I've gotten great deals on Non-Working activision carts just to find out they just needed cleaned. ) My most hurtful bad cart was Subterranea, it was part of a lot and really the only cart I needed from the lot. The cart had actually been opened when I got it but it was all together. The circut board looked like the foil was lifting on the back, so I de-soldered the chip and attached it to a new Demon Attack board, it still didn't work (I may have gotten it reversed or something though, It was kind of a slop job.) If anyone would like to try and fix the cart, I could probably mail it for like 1.50 or so. I got another Subterranea so I don't really need it. It would be great for a rarity like that to get working again.
  8. This is embarising, but I talked to one of you folks at philly. I'd talked to you last year too and you got to witness a friend of mine bidding against me for a Marauder cart in the auction. You had mentioned that you were looking for some of those little "Fit in your hand" epyx joysticks. If you haven't got any yet, I just picked up two today at a local thrift store. I haven't tested them yet and one seemed kind of loose, but if you are interested in them, I'll test them out and I'll ship them out for you. Later man, Joel
  9. Dan Cage recieved his.. I'll email him and ask him if it was from Atari Age or from Fish. BTW: I used to do a ton of trading with Fish, I still give him the benefit of the doubt. Later, Joel
  10. Add Joel Park to the list. Actually though, just so you know, a friend of mine recieved his Thrust Plus about a month ago. So they seem to still be coming in slowly.
  11. Hey all, check this out, I think you'll enjoy it.. http://www.homestarrunner.com/yellodellomenu.html there are a few little Atari refrences scattered about, check out the deleted scenes as well. Once your done, check out just www.Homestarrunner.com there's some funny stuff there, and nothing too foul except for the word "Crap" alot.
  12. By the way, I believe the Trackball is now spoken for, I'll post again if it come available again.
  13. I have a spare old looking, but works good Atari 2600 trackball controller if anyone needs one. I'd be willing to part with it for say, $5.00 plus shipping, I think that is an ok price?? I only wanna sell in the U.S.A. though because of shipping. Drop me an email at, [email protected] if anyone is interested.
  14. Hi all, haven't posted in a while. The last games I played were Missile Command and Maze Craze.. I had a friends kids, around 15 and 13 who wanted to check it out. Belive it or not they actually had an atari when they were younger and they were some of their favorite games. We also played, Donkey Kong, River Raid and Air-Sea Battle.. It's great to see the youth enjoy something I enjoyed as a kid myself. Later, Joel
  15. Any idea how the Tome was done?? Was it OCR'ed (Optical Character Recognition) or compiled from the HTML Manuals that exist? Reguardless it's incredibly, incredible. Later, Joel
  16. I never knew anything about the intellivision.. When I first stated collecting Atari games, I thought the first intellivision game I found was a Mattel Atari cart that the adapter had broken off of.. It didn't take long to figure it out though
  17. Hi all, it's been a long time since I posted.. I just figured I would drop a line. I was just curious as to how rare Mangia by Spectravision or Spectravideo was.. How Many of You Guys Own Mangia, is yours PAL or NTSC?
  18. Can the fellow who wanted my Sega Master System please email me at : [email protected] I kind of lost track, I'd still like to trade it off, I especially want NES games.
  19. I would like to apologize for the off-topic, but here in the 2600 section is where all the folks I know and trust are. The off-topic section scares me a little :-), no harm done sonnenhexer. We would take trade ins, but aren't planning on being a "Classic" game store or anything. We would most likely have to start with all new stuff, and slowly fill in Classic and Used inventory as it came through the door. We did get a reply back from a distributor and sampled a few of his prices as compared to Ebay, and ebay is still cheaper, even on new releases. I really appreciate your feedback.. I'll check out a few of the links above and see what happens. The one thing we have going for us is the fact that the only store doing what we plan on doing is nearly 50 miles away. I would also like to supliment our income with contract computer programming and likely DVD or Paintball/Accessories sales on the side.
  20. My brother and I have been tooling around with opening a Video game, New and Used store in our area. I was wondering if anyone else had ever done anything like this, and if they knew any distributors in the U.S.A. we might contact. Thanks, Joel
  21. Anyone ever go to a nickle-a-play? In Denver Colorado there was an arcade called Nickle a play, I don't remember the costs exactly, but it cost like 4.00 to come in, then all the games cost a nickle. They had mostly old classic games, but some new games too, some of the really old games were set on FREE so they didn't even cost a nickle. At a nickle a play, my one friend got some serious blisters playing Smash TV.. :-) Later, Joel
  22. I thought Mr. Roboto was incredible. The music is really flawless, I expected some kind of slowdown or something, but it's perfect. Also the labels were really nicely done.
  23. Really great strip.. I still think the last one may have been my favorite with the line. "Of course you won't live to enjoy these things." That cracks me up.. :-)
  24. In the last 2 months I've found/recieved more classic video game junk then I have in the last 2 years. Has anyone else noticed a sudden increate? I apologize if this sounds like a brag, but I'm just amazed.. Within the last 2 months or so I've found: --A Colecovision, 4 or 5 games, Steering Wheel. All working. --A Sega Master System (4 Games) Gun, controllers. All working. --Various loose atari 2600 games, nothing super rare but still very cheap. --A couple friends of mine have been finding NES and Atari games on a weekly basis. --My mom and dad have also found me various lots of Sega Genesis games. --And this weekend my mom and dad found an Atari 2600 and like 54 games for 10.00. No super rares, but there was a Miner 2049'er in there and a Sea Hunt cart. Maybe folks are finally pulling their old stuff out of the Attic.
