Hi Jose, keep your head up!
My apprication for your honesty. I guess it's not easy to write such words...
For the moment, I'm on the sunny side of life, but who knows...!? Your case remembers me, to be always thankful for what I have.My small contribution is now on the way to your bank account.
Hopefully everything will turn in the right way in the future and you will find time and inspiration to program such cool games like X:8
Wish you all the best,
Tigerduck

OK: After four days, I'll take this as a) No-one here runs Rapidus with the July 2018 U1MB firmware, or b) they do, but there was no problem.

I am keen to hear from owners of Rapidus/U1MB/VBXE equipped machines who would be willing to test the forthcoming update and establish if any (apparently rare) issues with software attempting to detect the VBXE FX core have been properly dealt with. Right now I have one complaint received nine months after the firmware was released, and one reproducible issue on my own hardware which was fixed with a simple code change. However, the person who reported the issue is no further forward with things yet.
Unfortunately I can't release the new update until I know one way or another whether my fix is universally effective.
Hi Jon,
I run my 130XE with VBXE, U1MB and Rapidus but so far, I did not experience any problems. Maybe I should try harder...

This is my config:
If I should test something, let me know...

Disregard, after a reboot Windows refreshed the icon cache and everything is fine now...

Works for me only in the "small icons" view, bigger icons like "medium" or "big" show the white "T" on blue background?
(sorry, I have a german windows 7, so I'm not sure if the translation of the menu items are correct...)
Best regards

One for me, please!

Please use A8CAS instead of CAS2WAV to convert the file, because the loader uses FSK signals that only the A8CAS supports them.
Regards,
GHFM.
Transfered the wave file you provided again to cassette and used a XC11 instead of my XC12 program recoder and now it works!
Could you please specify what type of turbo loader you utilize?

Thank you for your feedback. I make it work on Altirra 3.00 in PAL and NTSC modes, with no issues.
Please try this A8CAS version on Altirra, just to discard if there is a problem in the WAV playing process. Please remove the ".TXT" extension.
Let me know if there is any issue.
Best regards!
CAS works fine on Altirra, so I guess it's the WAV. I will try to convert the CAS to WAV and check again.
But for now, I have to go to bed.
If I have not mentioned yet, Time Pilot is such a good conversion, thanks to all involved in the process!
And the cassette version is even cooler

Best regards, Tigerduck

Wow! Great source of information!
Espacially the part concerning the superarchiver/bitwriter.
Thanks a lot!

Sorry for necrobump, any success on this topic since the last 6 years?
Running in the same problem with vbxe/Sophia when connecting to Atari SC1224 (Goldstar) Monitor.
Make it sense? No idea...
...but it looks so nice with the XE-line!

Hi Thomas, I have an 800 XL NTSC and feel so boring between Chrismas and New Year... (and at least I have an excuse not to contribute something for the New Years Disk

Cool, another tool to play with...

I can try to recover your disk.
PM me.
Bob
Good luck and please keep us informed about the result!
-
Wow, instant service!
Downloaded - tested - works

Many thanks to you!
P.S. Maybe I'm able to recover the disk, but I'm from Germany and I guess you live in the US.
So if there is anybody from the US willing to care about the disk B-side, it is the better solution.
I think shipping risks are not that high than sending to overseas.
Anyway, I will care about it if nobody else shows up...

Any success on this?
I have the same problem with the vertical stretch on a STAR LC24-10 printer...

Some time passed, but I've managed to move around the memory map a little bit and prepared a flasher for core loader that does not use memory above address $3000. Pasiu checked that it loads the core correctly but could not check it with any suitable cartridge. Could someone give it a try?
Here is the file:
FLND6502.XEXTested with Joust, Hero, E.T. and Moon Patrol (They should have all 16K). Works fine now.
Just one remark, it is not possible to activate the RAPIDUS menu with "RESET and Invers" while Moon Patrol is running.
Maybe a "magic thing" in the programming routines of Moon Patrol.
Thanks a lot for fixing that, laoo!

Wow! Very impressive - Like to see a boxed cartridge version of the final!

Could something be conflicting with the bank switching between all the devices present. Ultimate 1meg is a memory extension that goes through PORTB and has something else going on in the $DCxx area. VBXE creates a window with setting the MA_CTL and MA_BSEL registers either inside $D6xx or $D7xx area. It looks like Tempest Elite is detecting VBXE and setting the color map. Does the screen turn light green for a few seconds when it is first booting up?
Did you accidentally hit the space bar when starting the game. When Paused, all the sprites turn off until the game resumes. This is to make it harder for anyone to cheat during the game.
Yes, it does turn to a light green when booting up.
I played it "blind" and when you loose a live, for a very short instance you can see the VBXE-Sprites before game goes on. The same thing when you finished a level and go foward to the next. (Yes I can beat the game only with sound...!

-
I flashed my VBXE back to the 1.24 core, no improvement...
-
Could this Ultimate 1 meg be interfering with VBXE set up? It has been tested with VBXE without this Ultimate 1 Meg extension. Does it work with other VBXE applications? Will need to know which memory locations Ultimate 1 meg upgrade is accessing.
I'm the friend of Sleepy with the same problem.
Every other VBXE application works quite well, except Tempest Elite.
My System is a PAL 130XE, Ultimate 1 MB, Rapidus, Stereo Pokey, U-Switch and, of course, VBXE 2.1 with all the actual drivers installed.
Tried several different configurations without success...

Thank you, saves me a lot of time to search for completeness of me roms...
