Just one question. Is the RF output still available when SCCC is installed?

Thank you Jürgen for this great device! Very clear picture now. Thanks to Bryan for UAV, too.

    Best regards

  2. I'd never considered epilepsy warnings before but I included one here since there is quite a bit of flashing with the strobe option.

Good idea, don't know if i can fall asleep tonight. I'm afraid to close my eyes, flashing will start again and again... ;-)

    By the way, cooool work!

  3. Thanks for testing. Can you test again with color switch at B&W too?

I am surprised that there are any differences at all.

    OK here are the results:

(No B&W switch on the 7800)

    ATARI 2600 4 switch PAL CVBS - 33/255/24

    ATARI 2600 junior PAL Antenna - 32/257/23

  4. Hmm, with the SEGA Lightgun I experienced the same effect. Additionally there is one vertical line close to the left edgde of the screen witch triggers the gun.

With the original XG1 if have only the line on the left mentioned above. It's much harder to follow the line to keep the trigger with the XG1 than the SEGA.

I don't have an explanation for this behavior.

But to start the little testprogramm with my Harmony, first I have to select and activate the Programm with a joystick then unplug it and change to the lightgun.

Maybe this procedure could lead to a strange behavior.

I experienced wrong input interpretation in the Harmony menu when i plugged in the joystick after starting the console...

  5. TV is a JVC 15'' 4:3 with this results (I was curios and tested it with different machines...)

    ATARI 2600 4 switch PAL CVBS - 25/215/22

    ATARI 7800 PAL Antenna - 25/214/23

    ATARI 7800 NTSC Antenna - 25/217/20

    ATARI 2600 junior PAL Antenna - 24/216/22

  6. Hi Thomas,

I have both, the ATARI Lightgun and the SEGA one with converter.

There is no difference in precision in my opinion.

If you like, I can solder you a new adapter for SEGA or lend you my existing, together with the SEGA Lightgun. Or I lend you my original ATARI Lightgun (But only one of the two options, I need one for myself, if I'm in the mood for Alien Brigade ;-)

    Viele Grüsse

  7. Just through all the 3 magazines, really great work.

I do not agree with some of the rankings of the games, because it seems to me you are to enthusiastic on some games.

But hey, that's only my opinion!

Good reviews with a lot of background information.

I hope you will release some more magazines, even it's not on a regular base.

  8. @Tigerduck

The new Freezer construction have only one connector, therefore don't need excessive force to remove or place it on its socket.

But I am agree with you, cause the removal and place isn't something for daily use. Or worse just for fun.

Just for my confirmation, the "new" Freezer will work with the old Adapter without any modifications?

I assume that the second connector is only for stability, because conntacts on the board are going through.

  9. I'm in with one Freezer without any adapter!

    Background:

I have one Freezer 2010 and two adapters. One for the XE and the other for the XL.

My intention was to save money and swap the freezer easily from one adapter to the other.

That's theorie... It's always delicate to remove the freezer from the socket without bending the pins.

The day will come and one or more of the 50 pins will stuck in the socket...

Just my experience to warn other atarians with the same intention.

    Best regards

  10. Hi,

today we installed a VBXE 2.1 from Lotharek into a 130 XE. The RGB output works fine, but no VBXE features are available. When we try to check or flash the core with "FC.COM" is fails with "VBXE IO error" and that's it. I tried changing the PAL/NTSC jumper as described in another thread, but that didn't help (and resulted in a garbled image).

Anybody who has seen or fixed this before?

    Tigerduck & JAC!
