Great stuff! Waiting for #3...

Sounds really great!
I'd like to hear this on my 800 and on my modified XE!
Are there any XEX-Files available?
-

You aren't kidding you made a "nice catch".
That's an understatement. Matterhorn is worth some bucks sir.
Sorry, I was not aware that Matterhorn was that kind of rare...
-
Did a nice catch last week, it's all out of an old US Army inventory here in Germany.
The 800 ist NTSC and M.U.L.E. sounds much better than on PAL one, The 400 is PAL (with 48k upgrade). Not in excellent condition, but both fully working.
The 410 is early version (with handle) and the Tigervision cartridges "Springer" and "Matterhorn" are not so common I guess...

Hi,
after I haved solved the level according to the attached picture (don't know the number of the level, but it took some time to reach it), I expected the next challenge.
But, aaarrghhh! The disk startet and in spite of loading the next level I got the DOS screen...
Happend this to anbody else?
I have the original ABBUC 5.25' Disk transfered into an ATR and loaded it via SIO2USB. Did some save states with the ABBUC-Freezer.
Maybe this configuration caused the problem, or is it a error in the program?
By the way, great job! I like this game very much.

"Hidden underground rooms"? -Never heard of that!
I played it several times to the end, but never realized there is something else out there...
Amazing! I have to check it out.
Thx for the advice!

and it would be great to mod it for some power-LEDs, too, so I know when things are truly ONThat's a good idea! Next number on my project list.
It's easy to forget turning them off and batteries discharge without use...
I hope you can now enjoy your wireless controllers, I like them especially for playing quiz games sitting on the sofa with many other persons.

The Atari branded does not have a power switch on the receiver and is always onThe "Game Mate 2" is technically identical, there is now power switch, too. I ment plug in...
IF you would be so kind, do you have WIZARD OF WOR or MARIO BROS? COMBAT would do, too - - I see the same issue there, as well, with the left joystick controlling everything, and the right doing nothing.I have a Harmony Cartridge, everything is possible
Could you please confirm that you CAN or CAN'T play a two-player simultaneous game with the ATARI branded wireless remote controllers? As far as I know, only the brand differs. Game Mate 2 = ATARI wireless remote controllers. Yes, I can play everything like I'm using the CX 40 Joysticks.
I am starting to think that we have a TECHNICAL issue here, and the LEFT controller transmitter is overpowering the RIGHT . . . ?Maybe that's an approach... or look at that:

Nothing a little electronics tinkering won't fix, but FIRST I wanted to confirm that you CAN get those two player games to work as expected!Definitly Yes!
Good Luck

Believe me, it's only a matter of the order you switch your equipment on!
It sounds strange, but it is...
I could reproduce all your mentioned errors by switching on and off the joysticks/transceiver by accident.
But if I stick to the "right order" there is no problem anymore.
-> switch on the transceiver
-> switch on right then left joystick (wait 5 seconds for "synchronisation")
-> switch on your VCS
This works in 99% of all cases.
Have you tried this? result?

Acting strange
In this case it is normal operation
I have a set called "Game Mate 2" and I guess you have the same, there are not many others around...
I tried to reproduce the situation and I got the same issues with starmaster.
My recommodation is, to turn on the transceiver and both Joysticks (preferably first the right, then the left) first and thereafter your VCS.
Everytime you differ from this order, you will experience strange behaviors...
Always turn on both Joystick, in spite of only one is needed.
If you are equipped with an ATARI 800 XL (or similar) you can observe the unintended changes of the joystick/firebutton values by this little Basic row:
10 ? STICK(0),STRIG(0),STICK(1),STRIG(1):GOTO 10
Ahh, it is so convenient to play right out of the sofa, instead of kneeing in front of the TV...(Damn, I'm getting older!)

But for those like me, not that familiar with the game, is there a possibilty to make a game manual?
The "story", stages, features, the enemies, tactics and so on...
Here's the manual for the SMS version in HTML form:
Cheers,
Simon
Thanks, is this version simular to the ATARI?

Really great work done!

Me and many others(?) would appreciate that.

Today I get special characters like "<" and "=" in the live display, very strange
Is it a feature and not a bug, I'm not convinced...

Hi.Today I was playing the game again, from the beginning.
For some reason I was not doing a very well job, so at one point I only had one life left.
Then I entered bonus game... succeeded, and played the level I entered after the bonus game.
Suddenly I had 66 lifes left.
I can not reproduce what happened, but this is strange eh?
Marius
Same happend to me, I can not determine exactly when it happend, but same result - 66 lifes left...

Thanks for your answers,
learnt something new for today.
Actually, if the saying was conceived some time in the last 20 years "Rectum of the mind's eye" would have been a more accurate description of TV.I totally agree

It is a PAL System, I'm from germany.
So NTSC or PAL should make no difference...
