ROTFL!
-
You know scrabbler, you could probably write a book about this stuff...seriously. I could just see the title, "Lord of Atlantis" or "King of Centipede" A brief history of the games, your role in that history and stories about how you fell in love with gaming, then stories how you became a competitor and champion...I would buy it!

New Controllers for Intellivision/emulators
Atari2600Lives replied to 1980gamer's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
I think an Intellevision controller that would work for the PC would be amazing. here is how you get a Jaguar controller to work with a PC (which might be the ticket as mentioned before): http://www.ehow.com/how_6003753_connect-atari-jaguar-controller-pc.html -
Here is another scan without the brightness. In my opinion the white manual is much nicer than the black one. I wonder if anyone can clear up which came first and if the white is indeed a bit more rare than the black (it seems so).

Sweet, congrats!

The picture sucks, and how lazy is it to type out a list But more seriously, I wouldn't pay any more than $30, simply because he's too lazy to get good business. I agree 100%

Welcome to the forum. That was a cool story and a very well written article. It is just amazing you have your original Atari...I unfortunately gave mine away to a kid named Raul in the late eighties......(AAAARRGGGHH )

I love homebrews and do not mind at all the destruction of the original game for something cool and new (and I think the lamp stuff cebus does is incredible art) but I do not see the purpose of taking an argument from one thread and starting it again in another.....and I really see no purpose in taking a cart and destroying it for the sake of destroying it ...it's really not that funny , but that's just me.../shrug

I loved Raiders of the Lost Ark and recently replayed it to its finish (again). Although adventure is a thing of beauty in its simplicity and fun (and my favorite game along with Pitfall also) Raiders had a lot more stuff to explore and figure out.

Nolan Bushnell Appointed to Atari Board
Atari2600Lives replied to Retro Rogue's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Nice to see all the gaming Gods that joined the thread. I have to ask something , if Nolan Bushnell had never exsisted would we be here (right now) posting on a forum called Atari age? I rest my case.... -
Man I so wanted this to be real.....hard to believe its been 8 years..

welcome Scarbbler and thank you so much for sharing your incredible story. You have some very very valuable stuff there. Congratulations on being such a great gamer also by the way

You can play it right here on your computer right from this website, it even has the easter egg (I completed it withh my 7 year old today as a matter of fact). It has all levels etc and you can increase the screen size to take up the entire monitor, plays liquid smooth (arrow keys movement and space bar button). http://www.atari.com/arcade/adventure

Looking for sealed copy, or CIB or white manual seperate, or all mentioned.
-
I have a boxed copy of Adventure (pciture label) and I noticed my manual (white with picture label) is about to lose the first page. I went on the web and eBay and atari26600.com looking for a replacement white manual and all I found were the black ones. Is the white manual a bit more rare than the black one ?

MagiCard (blue label) on eBay with no reserve
Atari2600Lives replied to Matt Carden's topic in Auction Central
You should change that to every NTSC R10 game for the 2600,there are lots more PAL R10's out there and would never be able to collect them all. FIXED! LOL! -
What was the stuff about Paypal holding his money? It is just wierd he was going to scam you if you gave him positive feedback. The entire thing makes no sense to me (from the seller's point of view).

MagiCard (blue label) on eBay with no reserve
Atari2600Lives replied to Matt Carden's topic in Auction Central
I agree it is a lot of money but I have never seen a more complete and cleaner copy. It is what it is I guess. The value of this particular item at this particular time was $6,700.00 or it would not have gone for that. I am not buying it for resale now or in the future so I am not concerned about it holding its value. Also it was not a question of "wanting it now" , I am buying it because I am on a quest to obtain every NTSC R10 game for the 2600 (I am sure I will never get to finish that quest but I will strive for it) and when one comes along that is as nice and complete as this one , I just could not pass it up. At the end of the day the seller did find something incredible and was rewarded for it. As far as the price goes , I think owning a part of Atari history that is as rare as a blue label magicard is awesome and I am happy to be the custodian of this for the next generation of video game historians.
