download an emulator such as cyber stella, download roms and place them in the appropriate directory (read the instructions on how to do this). CYberstella works fine with a USB gamepad (as an example) it should work with most joysticks or gamepads for the PC.

A very key thing THAT IS NEVER SPOKEN ABOUT (so you heard it here first). Is that Ebay has also PROTECTED our hobby. Now, when Auntie Lucille is cleaning out the attic she won't toss the last remaining Music machine, Eli's Ladder, Quadrun (insert whatever game here), because she knows somewhere someone is going to value it on Ebay.

how do you hook up a sega CD 2
Atari2600Lives replied to Atari2600Lives's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Ok figured it out and thanks for the help. One more crucial thing (crucial for my sanity) where do the AV outs of the Sega CD go? Are they standard RCA out plugs? -
how do you hook up a sega CD 2 with a Sega Genesis 2 console?
-
If I can use the out put of the genesis straight to the TV where do the AV out of the Sega CD go? Why do I need the mixer cable if audio sounds OK?
-
can anyone point me in the right direction to actually BUY the product? Even the forum member that helped in the project? Geez....................
-
Did a search around the web and it's not available anywhere it seems. Even went to Avon's website (never thought I would actually say that) and found nothing. Anyone know where to order?

Where can I buy like 10 of them right now? How cool is this? A mold of a vintage Atari joystick to act as the unit! This is about the coolest thing I have ever seen(excluding anything that has ever been published in Playboy).

cleaned cartridge won't work...bum E-bay purchase!
Atari2600Lives replied to paladoris's topic in Atari 2600
one more thing. Ship it to me (I'll arrange for shipping) and I will test it free of charge. If I can not get it to work it's truly dead. -
cleaned cartridge won't work...bum E-bay purchase!
Atari2600Lives replied to paladoris's topic in Atari 2600
This has worked for me 11 times (yes I actually kept track!). Use a flexible nail file to scrape away (green) oxidization. try a nail file on the contacts...use common sense and do not go overboard or you will take conductiveness out of the mix...make sure you blow out the contents of your "dirty" work with an air can and slap it in the slot. carts 99.9% of the time will work if cleaned properly. -
Great Cap...that's your opinion...more power to you. Age does make a difference because some of the games are no longer being sold and no revenue is being generated by them. There are no places to even buy them legally in some cases. Some corporations are no longer in business and the license is owned by no one thus making it public domain.(not all cases but defintely some) It is not perfectly black and white like you make it seem, there is plenty of gray area when it comes to emulation. Again my opinon only and I am not forcing it on you. Emulating the 25 year old magnovox Odessey 2 is not the same as copying brand new PC games...c'mon be logical! Magnavox will not be coming after you...trust me. Your not hurting magnovox's revenue by emulating the Odessey 2...

I am against pirated stuff but the fact is that any console that is no longer being made or sold could be emulated without really hurting anyone. I play MAME. I have never even seen half the games in MAME. Find me a Phoenix machine I can pop a quarter into right now and I will but the fact remains that MAME is the only place I am going to get to play it in the year 2002. Pirating games that are new and being sold is completley wrong. Emulating systems that are 20 years old is just plain cool. This is my opinion and I force it on no one.

You want o laugh? I have seen more O2 games in the wild than Atari 2600. Alien Invaders, UFO, KC Munchkin, one of the sports titles (bought them all). Today I went WAY out of the way to hit a goodwill I have never hit before. Although I did pick up 7 NES titles I did not own (all common) and a NES console (dead..rats!). There was the obligatory, NHL94, NHL 95 Madden etc. etc. It's not that there always Sega games (hey I collect Sega as well), it's that it is the same games over and over. Does anyone know how Goodwill operates? Do they have centralized Distribution Centers that parcel out stock to the other Goodwills? Is it all just local stuff that is donated that end up in the local shops?

Man you guys are really psyching me up to play this thing...I can't wait to get the freaking cable now.....I just picked one up on ebay $4.95 + $3 shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...1381794154&rd=1 I'll post when I get it . Hey what games should I get for it right away? What are simply the must have games for this system? maybe I'll start another thread on this topic. -
Did you do all the 101 stuff? Clean contacts on the carts with electrical spray, flexible nail files, air can...clean slot with air can etc. etc. ?

A Sega Saturn, came with adapter and arcade style joystick. How rare is it to find one of these (I know it's not a rare item...just aksing if anyone runs into these as it is the first I see in the wild). It had no Power Supply...anyone know the specs off the top of their head?

For me it's defintely Super Mario 2. I rememeber trying to hunt this game down......what a mission it was. I can still remember finding it in a Toys R Us after looking for it for over a month.
