I actually showed up to the auction when it was $399.00 ...I saw that "buy it now" was still available because the reserve had not been met...recently I had lost a Quadrun, a Music machine and a Cake Walk and said "what the hell".

 

I'm pretty jazzed about it, can't wait to get it

Game wise I have never found anything Atari but recently I picked up a complete in box Turbo for intellivision a very rare game for $3 at a local thrift.

 

 

Non game -was a super, ultra mint condition sears Tele Arcade II at a thrift store...rarity 8 in the DP guide (an 8 is "finds you will never get in the wild!")

Just a cart with a generic label is fine( or you can print a colored label cheaply on any printer). Keep the cost about $20.

 

For the collectors have a numbered series from 1-100

 

After 100 are sold sell the rest generic unnumbered. Let's buy it right here from Atari Age!

I understand what your saying Joe. If I just wanted to play it then I would use the Cyberstella emulator (560 ROMs) . I can play just about any atari game ever made on my computer with a game pad(the graphics of course look better) .

 

I am a collector and that is the first and foremost reason I wanted the game. I DID actually try it on the emuator and thought it was very cool!

Listen, I am not delusional...I know it's a lot of money for an Atari cart. but 3 things:

 

I am a collector.

 

I have always wanted one.

 

If you average out the Quadrun carts that have been on ebay lately the going price is actually $665.00....in theory (whatever lets me sleep at night) I got a deal.

I just scored 86,000+

 

As I understand it a perfect score is 114,000 .

 

Does everyone achieve a perfect score?? I am having trouble breaking 100,000.

I have never gotten it to work in MAME. Anyone ever had any luck with the MAME version? Also there was a Star fire cartridge released for the C-64....I have never seen one :-(

one thing that we can all agree on is that it is very confusing. The law is defintely for gambling games. The fact that the government can not determine between the 2 is confusing. Also one other thing that I found out only today. there are games in Greece that have the pacman screen but when you place a quarter it turns into a gambling card game that pays out.......talk about confusing.....
