  1. finally was able to fix this. thanks guys for all the helpful advice that led me to the fix. this was fixed by changing the memory chips with the +5mod like the kit shown here: http://www.arcadecom...687/7841035.htm thanks to channelmaniac for replenishing his supply. it was hard to remove the chips using desoldering braid and some pads around the chips were lifted but the holes the chip legs go into had metal in them so when the socket was soldered in there was contact. hope this helps others with similiar problems.

  5. Hi,got lucky and a dear friend, bluebmw over at pcfx, sent me a bunch of atari and old console game and system booklets and manuals. I took the ones I want from them so now I will also spread them rest for free to the world. Just pay shipping in a bubble mailer 1st class or a small package priority depending on how many you want. Overseas is ok. For shipping I accept paypal or cash hidden in envelope. No limit. Condition is average considering their age. Folds, dents, scuffs, fades on all but not that bad looking. I live in a backwards suboyb of chicago so mailing facilities are far away and need a ride so please give me some time to ship them out. all spoken for! a bit of history where they came from. Bluebmw was driving around and found a garage sale in knoxville TN and a guy had tons of retro stuff but bmw was only insterested in a nes and genny. After buying some stuff the guy gave him free a brown box pasted label odysse2 box filled to the brim with manuals of all types. Later in pcfx chat we were talking and it came up that i was looking for console boxes for this phase im going thru that i would like boxes for most of my systems. Bmw had no use for the odysse box and vintage manuals so he gave them to me free. Took 2 big priority and a thick brown paper for the odysse box and payed a pretty penny in shipping but it was worth it. So beutiful were the manuals. Was like going back in time. And since i had most of the games for them it was great. I still have a bunch im filling binders for. learned that knoxville was the philips headquarters and could explain the brown odyssey box and manuals. Of the ones I kept I made 3 huge binders with those cheap plastic pocket sleeves. I used a euro sealer to melt divides onto them and a razor blade to make openings: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jetbue7/s2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jetbue7/s1.jpg updated for items spoken for.
  6. Got lucky and scored a new Lynx 2 so I don't need my cracked screen unit anymore or try to repair it with a dead motherboard unit. Its speaker is shot and missing battery cover but i plugged in a working speaker and I can hear a game playing when I put one in and see remnants of it in the cracked screen. Anyone need this to revive their dead motherboard unit? Just pay shipping, should be cheap.
  7. Halo was a bad game by a buttinski console but I like this 2600 game. Good work I remember old rumors that halo was a cancelled N64 game. Now that enough time has passed I wonder if cracks in the hourglass will leak anything. Just need a halflife 2600 game
  8. can i have your old 360 for my experimentations? it will suffer
  9. Thanks guys for the info Completed the mod today works fantastic. Heres a pic of the ceramic cap placement in case anyone has trouble: ceramic cap soldered on each pin of the jack. Ceramic cap has no polarity. The center pin is + positive. anyone needs a ceramic cap and diode i have a spare from the radioshaq 2 pack, throw me a pm and il drop it in the mail
  10. hi,im about to do this mod and read mitch's thread but i dont understand the wiring on the jack and where the ceramic cap goes. Can someone go into more detail? The center pin is negative? does that ceramic cap solder onto a wire or the jack itself then a wire? the picture is covered by electrical tape in that area. thanks
  11. fantastic to trade with
  12. what model does it say on the bottom label? a AGS-101 or a AGS-001? thanks
  13. Hi,i have some stuff i want to get rid of,just pay shipping: broken atari flashback 7800: no cords or ac,has been worked on by me,powers on but displays nothing. considered unfixable. non working coleco ac adapter: was opened carefully with razor blade to break glue seal, can be reglued. I suspect its a busted capacitor in there but i dont want to fix it. The cord is intact. a partial coleco sticker. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jet...inatgestuff.jpg i also have a sale thread going on over at neo geo: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196803 have a few sacks of older games in there and stuff.
  14. the bags were $4 each. I've come across 2 other atari bags this year. Got one for $8 with a bunch of carts and controllers and another thrift had a bag but wanted $16 for it and all i had on me at the time was $7,went back the next day with more cash and it was gone. Also found these a few months back: 3do debugging unit, only know goldstar model $5: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jet...tures003d01.jpg coleco with games $8: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jet...Pictusderes.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jet...ftstorefind.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jet...laimreciver.jpg also have 1 controller to go with it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v238/jetbue7/sms.jpg and bags full of genny and nes carts that i didnt take pictures of.
