WM's Magical Game Factory: ProjectY for Mega Drive/Genesis
Blues_Bloody replied to 108 Stars's topic in Sega Genesis
Mine arrived today! Works perfectly on my model 1 too. -
There is a mode button on the right, which is used to switch back to 3 button mode for a handful of games that are not compatible (Ms. Pac-man, Golden Axe 2 etc...) and some games use the mode button as an additional "action" button (Beyond Oasis, Fatal Fury 2, Etc...). Sounds like you are thinking of the Sega Saturn controller, which had 2 shoulder buttons used solely for game play.

Because they offer discounts on steam codes that are different than what you would get directly from steam. For example I bought Mortal Kombat xl for $8.99 Monday from bundle stars, yet the game is still full price on the steam store.

So I Got Lost In the Forest...
Blues_Bloody replied to VectorGamer's topic in Classic Console Discussion
But it's ok for you to come into the thread just to bash the topic at hand? How did you expect people to react? "Mitkraft doesn't like readin' about the weed, shut the thread down boys!" To the topic at hand, I've always found vector games to the most visually stimulating "under the influence". So it's cool that "vectorgamer" started this thread. -
Bands named after video games...
Blues_Bloody replied to fiddlepaddle's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Rival Schools takes their name from the 90's capcom 3d fighting game. Their first album is named "United By Fate", which is also the subtitle of the video game. Great stuff if you like heavier alt rock. Then there is a indie rock band called up up down down left right left right b a start who have an album called "Worst Band Name Ever" -
Maybe you should actually watch the video before you scold someone because of it's content.

New limited edition Megatron / Mega Drive Transformer
Blues_Bloody replied to goldenegg's topic in Sega Genesis
Were you unimpressed with the original Megatron toy because it could not shoot real bullets? Also, that penguin is a solid piece that ya know, doesn't not transform into an articulated robot. Segatron's fusion cannon does seem to be some sort of usb drive so it may have some sort of functionality. Either way, IT'S A MEGA DRIVE THAT TRANSFORMS INTO MEGATRON FER CRYIN OUT LOUD! Who cares if it plays games or not? -
Nintendo to re-unveil the Wii U at E3 2012
Blues_Bloody replied to Animan's topic in Modern Console Discussion
What in the world are you talking about, there are tons of games that support the classic controller and plenty that can use the GC controller as well. Maybe you would be less pissed off if you actually, ya know, looked up these things. -
catching up again with the SEGA Genesis library
Blues_Bloody replied to Cafeman's topic in Sega Genesis
Because it's an amazing game that you didn't take the time to learn the controls for. Granted there is a learning curve to the control scheme, but once you get use to the controls it's like second nature. I don't see what's "needlessly complex" in joining the two mechs when to do that, all you have to do is hop ontop of the bike and press down. Did you read the instructions/faq before playing? I'd say mess around on the first level (there is no time limit) to get use to controls before you finish the level. The second level is a more slower paced platformer level where the dual mech gameplay really starts to shine. Also are you using a 6 button pad or a 3 button? The game was basicly designed for the 6 button pad and makes things waaay easier to control. Ranger x is one of the true gems for the Genesis and you'd be doing yourself a disservice to write it off as a bad game because you didn't understand the control scheme. However, The game play has alot more depth than just "fly through the levels and shoot stuff" so it might not be your cup of tea anyway. -
I actually did a ebay search before I posted and only saw like 5 GS with the cheapest being $20. Didn't find to much of selection of GS in other places either, while new Action Replays are in abundance online for only a couple dollars extra and does everything the GS does and more.
-
Action Replays are not that much pricier than a Game Shark. You can get a brand new Action Replay for $30 from places like Amazon and Playasia. The Saturn Game Sharks I've seen for sale online cost about the same or a little less, but you would be better off in the long run with a Action Replay.

That's the classic controller pro, white and black versions came out a couple of months ago.

Transformers Battle for Cybertron is actually really good!
Blues_Bloody replied to swlovinist's topic in Sony Playstation 3
Yea man, it sucks they let him go. He was my favorite Transformer, ... which apparently was a bad one to pick because I haven't seen him since I was a kid. Shame they couldn't have put him in this game. Still wanting to pick this up though. Did they make the "exclusive" characters DLC yet? A few things guys: 1. Soundwave is a decepticon not an autobot. No offense, but that's like thinking Sonic the Hedgehog came out for SNES! 2. Soundwave IS in the game, hell he's even getting a new toy based on his game design! 3. He is also in the 2nd movie as a satellite type space ship thingy but I understand anyone not wanting to watch that film. Also, pics from the set of the 3rd movie confirm he will return in that film hopefully in a larger role. He's been appearing a lot in last few years; A version of SW was in the "Cybertron" series, A diecast version in the "Titanium" series, His g1 toy has been reissued several times in both Japan and America and even had a toy that transforms into a working mp3 player released in japan! Not to mention pvcs, robot heroes, mighty muggs, t-shirts, etc... Yeah Soundwave gets plenty of love, you guys just haven't been paying attention! -
LOL....new Wii game: Yard Sale Hidden treasures
Blues_Bloody replied to Rev's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
I hope this game becomes super rare so you get to play it before you find it. -
The NES version did a great job reproducing the graphics to 8-bit but it's still not on the same level as the arcade version. Here is a side by side comparison: NES: Arcade: Yeah, quite a bit of difference between the two. Really? The NES version feels sluggish to me and has tons of flicker. It lacks that gratifying snap that the arcade has when you roundhouse kick a row of ninjas. But hey to each their own. However, I find it a hard sell that the NES is version is better than the arcade version especially with the NES version missing the 2 player co-op, lack of digitized voices, inferior graphics, and flickering sprites.
-
How is it better? The NES version lacks the two player simultaneous mode and of course is graphically inferior.

Companies that bowed out with the crash

Why would children care about lighters that look like 15-20 year old video game systems? Also, it's not like "cool" lighters are not available in America.

No, I'm talking about toys that copy the exact same molding as the official toys with cheaper plastics and sometimes different color schemes and stickers. The "Pride parade ready Devastator" that S1500 is referring to is exactly what I am talking about. I have also seen combiner gift sets with Devastator in his original colors and other combiner teams for sale there as well. These ARE unlicensed bootlegs with no differences in their designs at all. I haven't seen any in stock lately but my point was Walgreens apparently hasn't had a problem with selling knock offs before.
