BOMB ON PIXEL CITY : NEW GAME FOR ATARI 2600
UberArcade replied to drfloyd's topic in Homebrew Discussion
Looks cool -
It doesn't support trackball does it? Looks like a good game for it.
-
I am just happy multiple people are working on a great game idea like this. XM, stock hardware, whatever. Heck if it required a special controller to play it I would still be excited to see it.

Why Atari 2600 boxes are so important. Collect them all!
UberArcade replied to ManCaveArcade's topic in Atari 2600
I prefer the complete game as well, but I buy whatever I can afford at the time. I don't like keeping games sealed though. That seems like a waste to me. One problem with a lot of the homebrew box options is the quality of the boxes. Most of the time they are really thin and don't stay glued. It is a lot of trouble for somebody to have a small batch of quality boxes printed up. I think most homebrew developers are just happy to wrap up the game and finally get it out there. -
SOLD OUT: Stealth chip modded PS1 @ $39 each

Put me down for one. Thanks! -
Bandits looks awesome! I didn't know about this game. I am going to have to track one down.

I had a Vic 20 as a kid and thought it was awesome. I got another one a few years ago. It was not better than the 2600, but it is my favorite old gaming computer. Probably nostalgia. I like that you can hook it up with a video cable and not fool with rf. Games are cheap. Omega Race, Raid on Fort Knox, Gorf are all great. Some good Imagic games on there. I like DragonFire on the Vic 20 over the other versions. Also some Atari games like Battlezone look better on the Vic 20 than the 2600.

I am interested in a copy
-
I never played Rip Off in the arcades. I am looking forward to trying this version out. Put me on the cart list please!
-
I hate to keep beating this dead horse, but I paid for an Ature cart and got zip. I sent him messages every couple of months and never got a reply. I am moving on though. I am not chasing down some guy for one game purchase. Yeah, he sucks, but whatever.

What I enjoy the most about these threads is the fact that Star Castle is a really crappy game in the first place. Even the arcade game sucked.

Midway Arcade for the iPhone/iPad
UberArcade replied to Mockduck's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I bought it and tried it out. The controls are terrible. There is no way around it though. I don't think they could play much better. You can't play a serious game on any of them with the touch controls. Defender is a joke. -
Got my copy today. Looks sweet! Thanks for putting this together.

3 New games for Xmast! (Pre-Order)
UberArcade replied to retroillucid's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Is the Way of the Exploding Foot available as a single game purchase now? -
I love that era of taito games. I have Jungle King and Elevator Action arcade games. They can be a pain to keep running but they are some of my favorites. I never got into Front Line that much. I wasn't a big fan of the big rotary control and I always thought the graphics were a little lame looking. I have never played a real Wild Western machine.

Pengo, yes!
-
Now an interesting question is can you port DKA to the Master System. That would be cool.
-
Porting an arcade game is different than porting a Master System Game. Plus most version of Donkey Kong don't include all the stages. So please continue your DKA efforts.
-
Why not just play Astro Warrior on a Master System? The SG1000 and MSX ports are cool because they are import systems, but the Master System is easy to find and cheap. You could even play it on the Genesis with the power base converter. Well even the MSX isn't too hard to track down. You can get a Yamaha American MSX computer pretty cheap off ebay. So I wouldn't waste time porting games like that.

Team Pixelboy News Bulletin - February 1st 2012
UberArcade replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Looks like some great games for 2012. My only comment is I wish they wouldn't all be released at Christmas time like this year. I don't know about other people but that is the worst time of the year for me to spend money on games for myself. I had to pass on your latest batch of games due to holiday expenses. Hopefully you will have some left in another month when I can spend some money on games again. I think it is better to spread the games out during the year. -
Getting rid of cigarette odour from system?
UberArcade replied to cOLeCoHiTMan's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Scrubbing Bubbles cleaner is good too. I haven't put it on a Colecovision so test it on the bottom or something first. -
I could have missed it somewhere, but is there a shipping date for the game?
-
Just put about 5 years of game magazines in the recycle bin. Sad. Just don't have anywhere to keep all of this stuff.
-
-
Well, it is 5 years of Nintendo Power. Almost the same amount of Game Informer and some Game Pro in there. If anybody wants them let me know. They are very heavy. They are stacked neatly in my recycle bin right now.
-
Could you get anything for them on eBay? I bet there's a collector out there who will pay postage at least plus a few bucks for them.
