  1. Can anyone tell me how much shipping is inside the US ?

You know,I´m overseas and shipping is extremely expensive (6 Euro = $7 as slow letter for 1 game or 8 Euro = $9 as Air Mail letter or 12.30 Euro = ca $14 as ultra-slow surface mail package, air mail packages are about twice as much).

  2. anyone tried to make something like the infamous "SAM" on the ATARI 800 for the 2600 ? You know , the voice-synthesis program (there is another ATARI 800XL program called SAM , but this is some sort of GUI).

It would be a good idea , since such voice synthesis allows large amounts of spoken text in a game without using too much memory. The quality of SAM isn´t very good , but it´s ok.

  3. Following that 4K game...

I thought of this for a long time but who, among you guys, would be ready to shell out any money ($29.99 ?) for a brand new game under cartridge form ? (w/ box and manual)

With a little bit of organization and Einstein sized brains like Analmux and others, it wouldn't be impossible to create a game design team and have them earn a little something to motivate the effort.

On a personal level, I'm quite good at basic but I've never tried ML (lack of time: 24/7 job + family). I did program a few good games though when I was growing up in Europe (even a multi-level star wars game which used the tape recorder for background music !). My collection is 18000 kms away so I'll have to check it when I get home.

Note for Albert -> I have every single piece of software produced by ATARI for the XL / XE (including UK and French releases). To place them on Atari Age would be a first step but a 3D modelization would be even better - like a Atari virtual collection on a Macintosh Powerbook !

    Later guys...

I have made some games , most not 100% finished and I also have lots of useless Crossbow carts for making cartridge games, but unfortunately my very expensive ATARI system does not work anymore and

all the stuff is on 5.25" disks, most double or quad density.

    I have a 130XE with Oldrunner and 16K Bibomon and an XF551 + 2 Double Density Drives and a normal 1050 and 810 and a Black box.

But seems to have been damaged over the years and I can´t access my data anymore.

    BTW.

BASIC games could be compiled with the TURBO BASIC Compiler or a normal BASIC Compiler and cart versions could be possible.

So even BASIC programmers could write games and release compiled versions on carts, if the cart works like a "disk-drive".

  4. You know, the ST had almost all the mid-80s - early 90s aracde games just like the AMIGA before this stuff moved to the consoles.

There were good ones like Gauntlet I and II and more.

There were bad ones like Afterburner or Galaxy Force.

    And "ok" ones like R-Type.

Anyone knows more games that came from the arcade and were pretty good or bad?

  5. I will offer NTSC versions of these games soon.

Ghostbusters 2,Acid Drop and My Golf will be sold as NTSC version + the original white label PAL cart.

I use new carts for making the NTSC carts, not used ones.

The price would be $25/game and $5/game for air mail shipping worldwide.

There are only about 30 Acid Drop and Ghostbusters 2 , but 100+ My Golf available.

The Bitcorp games will be the NTSC carts only with new labels.

    These games are

    Weltraum Tunnel

    Sesam oeffne dich

    See Monster

    Bobby geht heim

    Schnecke gegen Eichhoernchen

    Mission 3000

    Tanzende Teller

    Phantom Panzer

I sell these games for $20+shipping ($5 worldwide).

If anyone is interested, you may ask for pre-orders.

Please note that I have only a limited amount of boxes for some of the games, so some may sell out fast.

Please note too, that I´m from Germany and so shipping is quite high.Since the shipping is 8 Euros (ca.$9) as Air mail letter + $1 for a sturdy box, I´ve reduced it to $5/game.

I think this is fair for an overseas package.

  6. I still have several games as PAL versions that were availableas NTSC, but it would be possible to change the ROMs if anyone is interested to buy such games / if they´re not too common.

    Telegames :

Super Challenge Baseball aka World Championship Baseball

    Super Challenge Football

    International Soccer

    Bogey Blaster (Air Raiders)

    Armor Ambush

    Space Attack

Lock n Chase (I also have some real NTSC copies)

    Astroblast

    Adventures on GX-12

Since these games use EPROMs it would be possible to open the carts , desolder the EPROMs and replace them with the NTSC version without making a new PCB.It would be a little bit of work.

    Activision (SALU white label) :

    Rampage

    River Raid 2

    Tennis

    Double Dragon

    Decathlon

    Kung Fu Master

    Commando

    Pitfall

    Private Eye

    Keystone Kapers

    Beamrider

    CBS

    Smurf

    Zaxxon

    Roc n Rope

    Absolute

    Tomcat F14

    Title Match Pro Wrestling

These games would require new PCBs, making them more expensive.Would anyone pay $15-$20 for such games as NTSC+PAL version (2 carts in the box) or are these games too common.

You must know that I cannot sell my games in Germany any longer because of this stupid new youth-protection law , so I must try to sell all the games outside of Germany and the US is the biggest market.

But PAL games don´t sell there and I only have common NTSC games like Galaxian,Pole Position,Moon Patrol,Jungle Hunt,RS Tennis,RS Volleyball ,RS Football and Junior Pacman.

  7. These are my auctions , only 57 left now , there are about 20 ATARI 800 XL/XE carts , boxed+factory-sealed and about35 ATARI 2600 carts , boxed+new , too.

    http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...5&since=-1&rd=1

ATARI XL/XE carts are NTSC and PAL compatible , they are NTSC , but also work on PAL.

Some of the ATARI 2600 games are NTSC , some are PAL , this is mentioned in the auction.

All prices are buy it now price = starting price

  8. Ok.I think that the games should be available by end of this year.

I will offer My Golf NTSC together with the PAL cartridge , that means the buyer gets both carts.

The same for Ghostbusters 2 and acid Drop.

Since I don´t have so many Ghostbusters 2 and Acid Drop boxes left I´m traing to fin a way to produce new boxes.Cheapest way are playstic boxes like the Australian HES games use.

I think I can offer My Golf and the other games for about $20 - $25 depending on the price of the EPROMs and the PCBs

If anyone can make nice labels for these games I´d pay some money for these.I need labels for My Golf,Ghostbusters 2 and Acid Drop which should fit on a picture label Super Breakout cartridge.

The buyer will get the PAL cartridge with the white label, too. These white label carts don´t fit very well in 6-switch consoles, but it´s a bonus.

The 4th game I may produce as NTSC is Fatal Run,I have lots of this one.But this is a 32K game with a more complicated.

  9. Indeed' date=' but starting with your permission is appropriate. Then' date=' after that, do we determine the market.[/quote'']

We had some brief conversation about this a few months ago. So there is no reason for him to believe that we can't find an agreement when we have to.

I know nothing about Acid Drop though.

It's nothing special. Just try it in your prefered emulator.

Yes , I don´t make the game without permission. If someone buys the game , I could pay for each copy sold , although I only have about 100 copies of this game and only 20 or 30 of Acid Drop.

But since the SALU/HES games have quite simple boxes/instructions I think it would be possible to reproduce the boxes and manuals.

  10. My Golf is a golf - simulation made by HES , it was released in Europe and Australia as PAL version.

The game is on a SALU cartridge with white label and the instructions are English only.

I want to make NTSC versions of several games. One of these games is My Golf , I ´ll make about 100 of this one.

Would anyone be interested in this game since it´s a sports game and sports games aren´t as wanted as classic arcade games for example ?

IMO it´s a quite good golf-simulation which looks good for an ATARI 2600 game , better than some poor ATARI 800 golf games.

Of course I´d need someone who can make a better label for me.The PAL cart doesn´t fit very well in old ATARI 2600 models and in 7800 systems , so I´d create a new cart by using a new Super Breakout cart.

So I´d need a nice end label.

Other games I´m planning to release as NTSC are Acid Drop , Ghostbusters 2 and Fatal Run.

  11. It seems that in most NTSC games green objects are blue on PAL TVs.

For example International Soccer , Kung Fu Superkicks or Super Challenge Baseball.

The gras that should be green is blue now.But the rest of the game looks almost the same as the PAL versions.

Depending on the colors some NTSC games look exactly like the PAL versions.

For example Lock n Chase - I see no difference there,

  12. Look at :

    http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...5&since=-1&rd=1

All the ATARI 2600 games are new and boxed.

Most of the games are PAL , some were only released as PAL (Ghostbusters 2,Fatal Run,My Golf...)

Some of the games are NTSC or are available as PAL and NTSC :

International Soccer,Lock n Chase,Bump n Jump,Quintana Roo, Super Challenge Baseball, Kung Fu Superkicks , Jungle Hunt , Junior Pacman , Pole Position , RS Tennis,RS Football , RS Volleyball , Moon Patrol , Galaxian

ATARI XL/XE games are NTSC and PAL compatible, there are no special European versions , instructions are English only.

  13. I've been interested in this one for awhile, but I've never seen any screenshots, anyone have some captures for us?

There should be a ROM-file somewhere on the internet so it should be possible to make a screenshot with an emulator.

  14. A program on the PC has the advantage that PCs are fast and have no limitations like the ATARI 8 Bit.

But the artist cannot see how it would look on a real ATARI.

Certain combinations of colors can create the illusion of more colors on a normal TV or monitor. The colors look different. The screen is a little bit "blurry".

The disadvantage of the ATARI 8 Bit is that if you use many DLIs , it will be VERY slow. And you need at least one player for some sort of pointer.

Maybe write the real graphics program on the PC for creating the graphics and an additional small tool for the ATARI for small changes.
