  1. Are there RAM locations lost behind the locations hard-wired to POKEY and friends? Or are all of those mapped outside the actual 48K of RAM chips ?
  2. With the number of successful PDP/11 emulators out there running Unix or RSX-11, I'm curious if anyone has found tapes of Atari's development environment LINBUG (and/or the Microtec Research / Mentor Graphics / Siemens cross compilers) that's referenced in the OS source ?
  3. Are there any memory maps that indicate, all of the memory locations (when BASIC isn't in use, but loading from disk but not using FMS) that are "safe" to use, outside of the range between MEMTOP and MEMLO ? I understand this would be different for an 800 vs 800XL vs 130XE, just curious about scraping every last free byte of modifiable memory :-)
  4. Some more history of that program: Atari 8-bit "Archimedes Spiral" demo - Found again! -jon
  5. Awesome, thanks! hobart@gmail should be able to receive up to 25 megs! Cheers on an AMAZING product, -jon (Footnote - Is there a similar product that would work in atari 800 left or right cartridge slots?)
  6. I've lost the SD card that came in my Harmony, and am putting it together to give to a game developer friend, apart from the BIOS software in the sticky post at the top of the forum, is there a list of the demo software and menu/loader that come with the cart, or can I download an image file (or .zip if it's just a FAT memory card with the files) of the cart? Thanks, -jon
  7. Hello! I recently purchased a "Heavy Sixer" (front panel with rounded corners) from a local game shop to use with my new Harmony cartridge. The switches are in very poor shape (need to be jiggled repeatedly to change), and when I ran the video out to my TVs Antenna port, the video is coming through with very poor quality. (The TV is a Toshiba Regza flat panel set to "Terrestrial" input, connected via an RCA F<->F adapter and an RCA-M<->F-M adapter) I found this post on DigitPress recommending TV tuner cleaner, and may go ahead with that, any feedback? It looks like 8-bit Domain's solderless video out mods are all sold out (and having not cracked the case yet, I'm not sure if my TIA is even socketed). Are there any other sources for a similar product? By the way, the Harmony cartridge is *FANTASTIC* Everyone reading this should get one.
