  1. Yeah, I think you can use it for the 2600. The pinout would be: Com would go to pin 8 UP to pin 1 DWN to pin 2 LFT to pin 3 RHT to pin 4 MID ignore SET and RST each to pin 6 (assumed used for fire button) Wouldn't be able to use this for a 7800 joystick without board modification. Seems a bit too tiny though, I don't know if you could efficiently play a 2600 game with something that size. If you bought a sperate part for the firing button, it would allow you a bit more real-estate for ergonomic comfort.
  2. Thanks everyone! I have a list of 39 titles so far, not counting the article links! Thanks for those! Obviously, they are not classic console games, but I wanted to add two of my own to this list: Age of Empires and Red Dead Revolver/Redemption games. This, I think is a long enough list to get my student started on research! Thanks All! Here's the list Custer's Revenge Whomp 'Em Lone Ranger Megaman 6 SuperStreet Fighter II Turok (Franchise) Prey Never Alone Indian Attack Aztec Challenge Pocahontes Magical Tree Aztec Adventure Adventures of Tom Swayer Ice Bomber SMS Power General's Retreat/Westward Ho Sunset Riders Oregon Trail Apocalypes IV Wahan Gun Smoke Un Indien Dans La Ville Indian no bouken Blackthorne Frostbite Illusion of Gaia Xevious Secret of Monkey Island Bang! Mysterious Stones: Dr. John's Adventure Mooseman Pawarumi Abzu Colonization Civilization (Franchise) Fire Attack Age of Empires (Franchise) Red Dead Revolver/Redemption (Franchise 1 and 2)
  3. NE146 - Oh, Fire Attack is an interesting one. An LED game with a fixed background. Is that what these are? LED games. 80s digital watch interface. I'm starting to realize that there are a massive amount of titles.
  4. Tanooki - This is similar to a game I used to play on the Apple IIc. I can't remember the name of he game. The graphics weren't as good, obviously, because it was on an Apple IIc, but it was very similar. The game would generate a random world, and you played as an explorer. I wish I could remember the name of it. I just know that it wasn't the Colonization game.
  5. CaptainClassic - I think we do have to watch out for idealized history. You have made a valid point.
  6. Roadrunner - I have never played Assassin's Creed. Didn't realize that the main character had native heritage. Thanks for the 10 in 1 link!
  7. Excellent, an example from another plant! Frostbite is an interesting one. They give the guy on the cover art blonde hair, but a parka that was indigenous look.
  8. Not a stretch at all, even games with single characters count. Thanks for this one!
