Even when it's strictly for conversational purposes, NOT for selling, as this topic was?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Atari-2600-unknown-car...1QQcmdZViewItem Not my auction - could find nothing here on atariage about it. . . That's the Vanguard artwork but that means nothing, I would guess.

Ordered up. Thanx!

Don't really think the market would be there for this sort of thing. Great idea, tho. If I can win $4 million after taxes, I'll look into doing it.

Top 5: Defender - greatest port ever of that game. Space Dungeon - ditto (not saying much since it's the only port) Star Raiders - greatness as well Countermeasure Qix Honorable mention: Decathalon

Ripped from the 2600 forum, which was ripped from the Jaguar forum. Here is my former 5200 collection. Sold 'em all when I moved to TX from NH.

Here's a few more pics of the 2600 stuff I found on my HDD tonight. . . Some are just closeup shots to read labels better, etc.

Well done, Curt! I wish they had thru-put for Atari Paddles on it! Hmm, or. . . are they MAKING Atari USB paddles?
-
Where did your stuff go?? Sold it all when I moved to Texas from NH. All I have left now is one Combat cart. . . just for the memories. Attached are a few pics of the old arcade collection. . .

Is that a Bezerk machine peeking round the corner of that pic? Yes, yes it is - or was.

Sigh. . . Back in the day, I had quite the collection of 2600/5200 and arcade games, as well as some 7800 stuff. My old page is gone now, but I salvaged what I could from the Wayback Machine! Photo of my Atari home collection - sadly, it's the best one I have. And a complete PDF listing of all carts, boxes, etc. for the 2600 I owned. 2600nh.pdf 2600.bmp

Hmm. . . is anyone keeping score on this? Anyhow. . . 1. Yars' Revenge 2. Adventure 3. Warlords 4. Space Invaders 5. Superman 6. Video Pinball 7. Stampede 8. Laser Blast 9. Berzerk 10. Slot Racers (sentimental pick - first game I ever purchased) BONUS!!! Worst 3 games: 1. E.T. 2. Pac-Man* 3. Defender* *Made worse by the fact that Ms. Pac and Stargate were damn fine ports!

The 2008 Vintage Game Shodown - Round One (part II)
Texasmame replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
Tempest - never much into Mario and Tempest IS greatness. DK - As much as I love all things Atari, I have to give the nod to CV DK. I remember buying the console back in the day JUST for that game. Kaboom! - neither that great but Galaga has always bored me Yars' Revenge - likely the best original game ever for any home platform. So there. -
What is your favorite 2600 Space Invaders type shooter?
Texasmame replied to Rhindle The Red's topic in Poll Forum
I played the hell outta Space Invaders back in the day but, as far as being probably the best 2600 Invaders-type shooter. . . I'm gonna have to rank 'em like this: Phoenix - fantastic port, very nicely done as far as capturing the arcade's gameplay and the graphics were very good for the 2600, too. Solid "A" game. Demon Attack - terriffic overall game - very sharp graphically for the 2600 Space Invaders - old time greatness -
