It came in an Absolute "Tomcat" box! I have no reason to believe it's not original... the instructions are also Absolute instructions, but the cart is 100% minty fresh Activision black label "Fighter Pilot"...

ahhhh, now I`m joyfull that this riddle is solved.

 

I just put my Fighter Pilot in one of my spare Tomcat boxes and..... my boxed Activision collection is now COMPLETE and I mean complete

wow, what great effort and time you invested in this release of a long lost prototype game!!! not only is the manual and the cartridge beautifully done - the game itself is superb. a fantastic Robotron clone!

 

i`m happy to already have obtained one copy of this game as these releases sell out fast. A collectors item AND a great game - what else could one wish for?

there are many fine games to obtain as previous posters already mentioned. i began my collecting buying some atari lots on eBay and getting a wide variety of carts that way. sure i looked for ones that i remembered from the days back then but i also went after those which i saw in the store and weren`t able to buy. now i`m happy owner of over 800 ntsc and pal games (most boxed with instructions).

Feel free to send me a PM - i will gladly dig through my doubles for PAL carts.

i added all my activision pics yesterday and will begin uploading the first atari ones today. how`s the rest of the gang doing?

 

i also saw the adding of ccc--- to the contributors list which is fine as he also has great expertise in the field of PAL atari.

speaking for me i only added games i own so far. I never came across a PAL-version either but haven`t been looking so hard cause i won a complete NTSC one.
