Madman is probably referring to pre-populated boards robbed from cartridges that need to be bought in bulk and dechipped. You have to buy those in bulk lots to get them in the ballpark of $2-$3 shipped from myatari.
That Playstation is tempting but the corrosion in the metal shielding is a bad omen. How does the exterior shell look cosmetically? Any estimation on what it would weigh in a package for shipment?

You would save a ton of money just putting the kit in a standard injection molded project box and cutting the holes yourself. I can barely wrap my head around 3D printing a nearly featureless box outside of convenience.

Seems like they're scum that go against the wishes of the people who developed the software they're exploiting for free.

It's shady stuff like this along with the Retron 5 business that will discourage future contributions to free software under General Public License.

Yeah, floppy disks were very popular for consoles in the early 90s. This most certainly would've used floppy disks.
Obviously, there would have been a dongle that adapted the slot into an accessory zip drive.

Anytime I've ever sent something to the Netherlands (which surprisingly has been more than a few instances) and the buyer complained about their item not arriving, I just issue a full refund without hesitation. It has always wound up being late, sometimes as long as two months, and everyone eventually resends the payment.

Bump, something new available.

I made a bunch of the Jaguar logo for anyone with a clear/white shell if they want one. The design had to be tweaked after a fair bit of trial and error because the detail was so fine that the cutter was pulling up pieces of the vinyl. These are 1" x 3".

Exceptional work, well done!

The KanexPro has gold plated RCA jacks while the SYBA does not, which is a hint that maybe the former has better quality components overall inside. I would be willing to bet functionality is the same though.

Certainly no endorsement from myself, the person who started this thread seems deadset on skipping the final step to maximizing their transition to RGB and LCD televisions, so that's about as good as it's going to get.

Not a bad outline of what to expect.

It's a dead technology and I'd really disagree if you have the right equipment at this point in time - but to each their own.
lol, pretty much any game system discussed in the classic section here at Atari Age is dead technology.

If you're unwilling to spend the money, perhaps you should consider settling for S-Video because trying to cheap out on SCART to HDMI solutions undermines the whole idea with subpar results.

Bump, price lowered.

I was just going to start this topic when I realized someone beat me to it. Bought the top half of an Atari Jaguar shell and Sputnik2600 was great about it, he did a super job of packing it and shipped it very quickly. Very happy.

Sold him some custom cables, a very easy going buyer and ultimately a great person to deal with.

My guess is because he/she had greater interest in this post/project than the person who can't be bothered to "wade through" previous posts. If you were as pumped about it as they were, you wouldn't complain about reading up on it. As it is, it is bothersome to get notifications of new posts only to find they are questions on things that have already been answered.
Amusing that you'd take umbrage with me asking a question that'd dredge latent info back to the surface, and not the monotony of people posting their enthusiasm without really contributing anything. If you're subbed to this thread that's the majority of the notifications you're getting bothered with. Not that I'm gonna discourage folk because it's an exciting product, just if I know something pertinent and someone asks, I'm generally not going to keep them in the dark.

These questions answered earlier.
Where? If you know the answers, why not reiterate them instead of expecting someone to wade through 28 pages of me-too posts?

Will the circuitboard design be conducive to installing it inside of an injection molded Jaguar cartridge shell, or will it be exclusively made for / sold with a 3D printed case? With the cartridge shells available now, especially the clear ones and potentially other colors, I know what I'd prefer, even if I had to cut out a slot for the SD card.
Also will it use SRAM or flash?

Thank you. I had leftover ISA slot from an earlier project and I dislike waste.

Bump, some Jaguar RGB cables are available.

Why does the guy on the Pro Wrestling cover have no head?
Well, presumably, he's fighting with himself. A rare shine of cleverness against the banality of Sega Master System packaging in North America.
The SMS has some true gems, Wonderboy III was amazing for its time and is still fun today, though I'm a bit biased there. But since I grew up with the system as a kid I have a right to say by and large there's not a whole lot else it has going for it. Sega really stretched themselves thin on account of the lack of third party support.

I bought my first one for $175(unit, controller, svideo cable and power supply) from a pawn shop listing on Craigslist when talks of a SD cartridge was first being talked about and then got my second one when I found that B & C Computers (www.myatari.com) still had them as refurbished in the box for $195. looks like new with everything included.
Email them and see if they are still available.
Called the number listed on the website, was told that those prices were no longer applicable but he couldn't update the website and that I should 'check ebay' for what the prices should be. Still waiting for a reply to my email inquiry but it's been over a week.

Digital Press online gone?

The #vbender channel is still active on efnet IRC, Joe Santulli just had a hissy fit that the regulars weren't functioning as customer support for his store patrons so he disabled the access point from the Digital Press website.
