  1. Not the first time he's listed it. Didn't sell then, either.
  2. 2600: Various video switches, see pic: 5200: Galaxian Pac-Man 8-bit Popeye E.T. Phone Home! 32X: Doom Genesis: Sonic 2 complete SNES: SimCity w/ manual * GONE TG-16: Keith Courage 3 power plugs, official NEC brand Looking for 2600, NES, SNES, TG-16, Genesis (must have plastic case) games. Need to have good labels.
  3. Clear printer labels you can get in an office supply shop. I had to pester him with PMs.
  4. I thought Ali was pretty good. As for video game fighters.. well, I just like Samurai Shodown and MK II.
  5. I've always had an Atari 600XL growing up as a kid, but during the NES days I used to head over to a neighbor's house to play some 2600 instead. It was DIRT CHEAP back then compared to Nintendo, and easily affordable. I even had a 7800 for a while before I got an NES. Well I'm finally getting a 2600 of my own and even had CPUWIZ whip me up a little something special. In a way it commemorates a personal milestone and my very first 2600 game, which I happened to find in a crack house, which is another story all of its own. Now I am truly ONE OF YOU.
  6. Hate to be a sour gummi worm here but damn, were funny animal racers the only thing these guys made?
  7. Ebay usually. Watch out for the Sonic nuts that drive loose carts up to $50, I got mine boxed for 15 shipped.
  8. It's mostly the flashy Sega logo spinning around, overcompensating with that mode 7 effect the SNES trumped the Genesis with the first time around. You can tell it to load the Sega CD game in the drive if it hadn't already, or use audio CD player controlls. Yes, it plays audio discs.. kind of an afterthought these days but back then it was a big deal I guess.. and why not, people were shelling out 400-500 bucks for it new, right?
  9. It's about 'you best get me and play me because I am worthy enough to belong in Bratwurst's collection'. Okay, okay, a little more elaboration. It's a graphically pretty game. And I've picked up on enough subtleties to realize that it couldn't have been done on anything /other/ than a 32X for the time, but there's still a nagging feeling that it's unpolished and shoved out the door at the last minute. Definitely Sonic in feel, but doesn't have the oomph of S&K or Sonic 3. Still I like it, it's very relaxing to play and the rubber band system doesn't get in the way imo.
  10. Okay, here's what happens: Nothing loaded: Sega CD BIOS/Menu plays when Genesis is turned on. Genesis has cart and Sega CD has disc: Genesis plays cart. Sega CD has disc and Genesis has no cart: Self explanatory.
  11. Hmm, I don't even know and I have a complete setup. I shall test this in the name of science.
  12. Well, I've had my 32X for over a year now and no problems yet, though I'm not playing the thing 24/7 either.. I'm one of the few who really likes it but I have a fondness for mutant stepchildren. My suggestions are: Knuckles Chaotix, Space Harrier, Tempo, Kolibri. Star Wars Arcade is pretty good too, considering it's a dollar-common.
  13. The Sega CD would run the games strictly from the disc. The Sega Saturn did have some games that came with carts that had extra RAM in them, to be used in tandem with the game, but I think those were all Japan exclusive to begin with. While the Sega CD has internal battery backup memory, you can also get a dedicated save-game cartridge that plugs into the Genesis cartridge port and also save games there.
  14. Do not misconstrue what I said and tuck your attitude back down your pants. You asserted that it was impossible to find them for under 30. I pointed out there are other avenues. Also: Where do you think most items sold on ebay come from?
  15. Not online, but in the wild, definitely. I've just about ceased buying online since I started hitting the fleas regularly in my area.
  16. For me, it's about having something that looks good (should I ever display it, which I doubt) but also durable. Cardboard just doesn't hold up very well if the nature of your collection entails storing but also playing the games too.
  17. Agree 100%. Personally I don't collect cardboard packed games at all and for a few rare exceptions I print out my own slips (S&K, Sonic 3D Blast).
  18. The SMS casings are molded slightly differently to accomodate a cartridge that is less wide and smaller manuals. It's a sound theory though, Sega probably only did minor retools on the machine that made the original cases to make Genny ones.
  19. Can't say exactly when, sometime after Vectorman came out. As for why.. well, it was cheaper.
  20. The costumes and effort was pretty cool, although it's more entertaining on the merit of its badness... That they were able to get an old dude to play Dr. Wily and say 'Guts Man' was the best part. Also the UFO scene with him laughing in it and flying around.
  21. That is pretty neat. If you ever do another, make it with a chaser series of LEDs so it looks like a ritzy store display.
