I Am Mad On Them Re-Selling Old Classic Games!
Historian replied to Atariboy2600's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yep I'm going to nit-pick here... I'd like to point out that I fall in to both categories... I'm not only a GenX'er but I'm also in the right age to be a Classic gamer. Another thing to keep in mind is that in say 20 years are there going to be collections like this for the current games? Possibly, but it will be harder as there are far mor gaming companies today. Finally, I'd rather they keep updating them to modern machines. How many games are already lost to oblivion? -

Why do I find the best stuff when I'm not even trying?
Historian replied to HawgWyld's topic in Atari 2600
Yesterday I passed on: a complete N64 $13. The Video cable was one of those multi system types for the Genny and Saturn. Saturn missing some kind of plugin card in the back $8 untested PS for $9 Did pick up: Interplay's 10 Year Anthology ('83 - '93) CIB $4 It's rather cool because the cd has a data track and 20 Music tracks. Games: Mindshadow Tass Times Bard's Tale Wasteland Dragon Wars Battle Chess Lord of the Rings (yep that one) Castles Star Trek 25th Anniversary Out of this World Music: -

third time is the charm... I say $300 to 350 $10-12 a game = $190 to 228 (slightly better than trade-in value, averaged) $65-$70 used GCN (what it is going for around here) $30-$40 2 extra controllers, 2 mem cards The Guides are negligible but I usually pick them up for $5 each. -
Never did get the 5200 to go with these.. So I'll just part with them... http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?View...&sort=3&rows=50

Whats the bestworst looking console design?
Historian replied to cimerians's topic in Modern Console Discussion
How could you miss the VirtualBoy? It was bad design from the ground up... -
What if we consider the castle sides as a walls rather than a solid building... Then you could have a courtyard with a maze in it.... But I agree with you... Inside you would want to have those dark corners to sneak around... a rather un inmaginative version would have a door at every potential crossing with a bridge "key"... but it would lack the drop and leave aspect..
-
I think I may have a solution for the bridge issue... Reverse the map... That is, make the old "walls" lower than the gray path. So that you are walking on top of the maze rather than in it... Just a thought....
