  1. I understand overpaying for things. I've done it myself. Hell, I've gotten someone to give me $125 for a coffee mug on Ebay. But my real question is why is Quadrun a $500+ title, when others which are the same level on the rarity scale going for less than that?
  2. Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a shot with the 2600 controller, and see how I make out. If I run into something that doesn't work, I'll probably have to pick up the 7800 controller.
  3. I've always wondered. WHY does Quadrun go for $500? I am into collecting, but that much money for a single 2600 game is nuts to me. It's a 10 on the rarity scale, but I've seen other 10's go for 1/5 the price that Quadrun goes for - so why this one?
  4. I'm new around these parts, but not to 2600 stuff - I was an original 2600 owner when it first came out way back when. I too would love to get my hands on this, but as I live in the Dallas, TX area, and I just bought a house, taking a trip to Vegas isn't really something I can do now. However, I most certainly can swing money for the game. In fact, there's several of the homebrew games that have been published in the last couple of years I'd like to get my hands on. I had been out of the 2600 scene for awhile, but just got back into it, and found these new homemade games - very cool stuff. Some of you might know me - or at least know who I work for. I do the website for 3D Realms, PC game makers of things like Max Payne & Duke Nukem.
  5. I recently inheritied my boss' old Atari collection. It had quite a lot of 2600 stuff, but when we were packing it up, I said "Hey, you have a 7800" - to which he asked me if I wanted that too - so I said yeah. Problem is that it doesn't have any controllers. I think it has a power supply, but I'd need to check the hardware pile to be sure. Anyway, does anyone know where I can obtain 7800 controllers? I tried Ebay, but no luck there. For the record, here's the list of games he gave me to go with my 7800. All are sealed unless otherwise noted. Asteroids Ballblazer * Centipede Choplifter * Dark Chambers Dig Dug Donkey Kong Donkey Kong Jr. Galaga Joust Karateka * Meltdown Midnight Mutants Ms. Pac-Man Ninja Golf One-on-One Basketball Pole Position II Robotron: 2084 Scrapyard Dog Super Huey UH-IX Tower Toppler Winter Games Xevious * - Just a cartridge, nothing else. ** - Not Sealed
