    Its been a nintendo week for me so far

     

    Following cube games at $10 a piece

    Starfox adventures,

    Smash melee, now i know why this is popular

    turok eveloution, i like this alot, cant understand why its not liked?

     

    A ps2 mouse/keyboard adaptor for the dc, Quake3 and unreal tourney rock with this

     

    Playstation mouse,, I can confirm this does not work with the total control plus for the dc

     

    Another saturn, model 2. Ive modded already with a country and 50/60 switch :)

    Funny.... I've always loved sony monitors...

     

    The one I have now, I've had the longest.  It has built in speakers and hits those low bass notes pretty well!

     

     

    The sony monitors are awesome when they are new, no complaint there. But ive seen alot die just like my 2 and its always the same. A friend who is a teacher (desktop publishing etc) has spent alot of money on replacing sony monitors. Im guessing the poor quality ones are made in a 3rd world sweat shop, right next door to nike :)

    ooo, my favourite (maybe not the best) is the boss stage for doom 2. It took me forever to get it right and was freaky for its time. To the best of my knowledge it the only boss in any game that tells you that you must kill one of the programmers to finish the game. I remember playing the garbled voice backwards and im sure it says "to finish the game you must kill me, john romero" And im sure his head is on a stake if you do the walk through walls cheat. So extra freaky, extra fun with extra gib factors.

    I never did figure out how you're supposed to beat that level. Is it supposed to be impossible?

     

     

    Its not easy, Once u pickup all the items in the small room you start in warp to the boss. If you look directly towards th middle you can see a small hole in the middle abot 3/4 of the way up. Now each platform moves up and down. The trick is to go to the bottom an hit the switch, the platform will rise, repeat for the second and 3rd platform. I cant remember but i thik its the 4th patform? that you need to be on while its rising to get a clear shot through the hole. u are shooting at john romero's head. Its a bitch but easier with mlook which you can get from one of the many patched open gl dooms like doom legacy.

     

    Have fun,! You'll be up all night but the satisfaction is worth the effort

    I think i'll be getting d3 on every platform its released on. Im happy to wait for the box version if there is some exclusives and extra polish.

     

    As for halo, entry level fps for the newbie gamers. Not such a bad thing but also not such a milestone for gaming veterans. Halo2 will sell with name alone, it may be great?? HL? eeeeeeewwwwww Is it just me or does it feel like gordon has taken a dump in his pants? But with low expectations i might actually like hl2

    Using your PS2 at all will hurt it, unless it's a 5XXXXX model. Sony was never known for making solid hardware. I have a PSX, a PS2, a $650 Mavica camera, two CD drives, a DVD drive, and a DVD player all made by Sony, and all but the standalone DVD player are dead due to drive fuckups.

     

    Indeed, my 2nd sony trinitron 19 monitor died a slow death of pixel per pixel. Thats 2 and never again, My sony vega tv doesnt run at 60hz without it being way off centre. Ive sold my 2nd ps2 as the prices are going down, Got a bargain of $150 :), whinge moan 15 psones later (small white one is good though)

     

    To answer the question, it can be ok to stand it up, if it breaks anything it would be the cd in the drive, trust me, a rented tekken tag in 100's of pieces, ugly.

     

    Just like the cube or the box, its a matter of luck, maybe 1 in a million chance to get a quality ps2 though ;)
