The ff series is excellent. Imho the Snes japanese version of FF1 is the best home incarnation of the lot. At least my sega cd version looks kinda lame, Fun to play though. Mighty final fight is excellent on the fami, Not sure whether this was released in 72 pin version for pal and ntsc??

You can, however you'd need a mod chip or a model 1 for the swap trick (easier then model 2). Of course you want to make sure the discs arent too scratched, For some reason this means so much more then say burning a psx iso.

Space panic was quite obscure but still a great arcade game, I can only remember seeing it in 1 location and playing it there. Ive got a sealed copy for the coleco and a loose copy, The translation is excellent. Now im sure the 2600's hardware could handle it quite well.

The saturn version is one of my favourites, the n64 version and definately the dc version are worthy. Im yet to try the xbox version, but im assuming its the same as pc minus the keyboard mouse,

I hate the damn pink/purple car in sega rally, That bastard car almost always gets me on the hair-pin on the mountain track. YES! I love yars revenge, Its one of the greatest 2600 titles ever. My local games mag recently did a retro review of this title and had an interview with Howard Scott Warshaw? Amazingly interesting interview about working for atari,, drugs,, etc

H.E.R.O is worth $15 smackers Imho, Its unusual how such an excellent game is so hard to find here. I was lucky with my find but now i'd pay $15

Yeah, Its just as good for sure. The only version I dont like is the PAL ps2 version sloooow. But yeah, The speed is definately there, Awsome selection of cars and hot pursuit mode is excellent. As good as the original IMHO

I would recomend getting an extended warranty for any Sony product (they are generally expensive), Apart from that its usually a rip off.

You couldnt go wrong with ordering an afterburner kit, Its an internally fitted light solution that i think has a pretty high success rate. As for the magnifer I can't help there.

This is a bit drastic but worked for me (high risk), If its one of those metal strips like the one i had on an nes cart, I used a soldering iron to heat the metal, the adhesive went gooey but it did work. Actually i dont recomend this but just thought i'd tell you

Game change since i finished holy ark 007, Agent under fire - From my harddrive, I own this game on dvd and used it to personalize my xbox using the save game. Now im actually playing it it's really quite good. N4S HP2, still on the gc

It crashes? My 7800 version has never crashed and ive played it for hours, Im pretty sure its a pal cart, anyhoo As you can see it was worthy of a 2600 translation, Id love the xe version if there is a pal one.

Well the 2600 release is pretty impressive and a nice replacement for the lacking zaxxon port. I think desert falcon really made up for that and not everyone had an xe or 7800 to play it on

Ah, forgot about the whole PAL thing. I'm not from the good ol' either, I'm just living there currently. But the NTSC PS2 version of NFS: HP2 is the most fun racing game I've ever played. Sorry! No need to say sorry, Its a PAL thing that sony hasnt learnt yet , its been an ongoing saga since the 8 bit days really I can confirm it is a dog and got bad reception, But i knew about the NTSC version, the gc and xbox versions being better so I got the GC version. Ask around about ffx pal if you want to hear a tragic port story!
