  1. Thats a great sms rarity list, I think there where alot of releases here in Aus and im finding sms carts very quick to collect. I also think the sms is a great machine, Im after an sms 1 for modding purposes at the moment. Happy_Dude, since i bought over 200 i'd say you may be a little late There just doesnt seem to be a scene here?? I mean any sought of museum or interest,, I guess this keeps the prices down for us. Sorry for babbling US gamers but i think we may have enough to start a list of some descrption or at least contribute as a whole,,,
  2. Not much for me this weekend, However i wasnt really looking. Loads of 2600 commons, But i got commando which i didnt have. Some more sms as usual, I must have loads of master system stuff now. 1 interesting cart was trivial persuit, Also Klax is worth a mention.
  3. san-d-2000, They are without doubt some of the funkiest carts i've seen for a while. Most of my multi carts with switches have images which look like they've been designed by a 2 year old.
  4. Ok Now im belting myself with a baseball bat. There was one of these in a shop in sydney for $25 bout 6 months ago, I didnt buy it because i just though it was a common pirate. Anyone from sydney aus just pm me for the sellers url, st address etc,,,,,,,,,,,, BTW, basically everthing from combat to quadran is $25, Just luck of the draw with what they have,
  5. Groovy stuff, I now have a scanner after throwing out the usb cable for my fuji digi cam. I''m happy to spend as much time as possible for input. Junk_supermarket, ive recently moved from sydney to brisbane, um yes,,,, Boring place.
  6. I collect anything and everything, ZylonBane.. I can assure you that my collection which would be foreign to you contains maybe 6 or 7 hacks of the so called "American games". The biggest and worst hack i think is the Atari %100 legit 32 in 1 cart.

    PAL Asteroids

I have a red label asteroids and admit i paid $9 aus for it as it's the only one ive ever seen. I like the red labels but only have about 30 or so. I think there are many red labels with regular black ends and colour fonts as well.
  8. Definately Yars, mario and MsPac. My most rares dont seem to be that memorable.
  9. Crackman -- why? You need to be on something serious to enjoy it for more than a minute. Slackman --- why? Explains the effort put into it
  10. Not too rare but cheap Master builder, $1 Xenophobe, $1

Also have hooked up and old tv so i can now tell which are pal and ntsc. Where do we send these things? I know the site isnt ready for alot of pal but maybe a few odd finds? Or different label ntsc's?

Mitch It's a standard? 2600 Asteroids box, I didn't even noticed til i opened it that it contained the common blue Txt Pic cart and the 7800 instruction set, Im looking at it now, The front page reads Atari 7800tm game Manual, below in a huge font has asteroids written in the same style as the grey 7800 cart,,, Ok ive looked at the manual on this site and it is identical~! I dont know if this has just been changed by the previous owner? But since asteroids 7800 wasnt released here i doubt it seriously. More funny finds today, Red label Joust with silver label and sticker, 2600 Real sports soccer labelled football?? I might get an old tv that cant do NTSC just to see what carts i own that are pal or ntsc for both 2600 & 7800 Blah blah blah,, Im really looking forward to a comprehensive pal atari listing,,
  16. I strongly believe the 2 most tasteful examples to date of using wood decal is definately the Brady bunch's car and the intellivision,

Well hows this for funny and dodgy atari scams,,, I have Asteroids boxed with instructions for the 7800, The cart is however none other then the PAL 81 2600 version. And i doubt 7800 asteroids was released here due to the game already being on the pal 7800.

    PAL carts

There are a tonne of carts to get here, pal and NTSC. I find being close to SE asia makes Aus a hot spot for pirate goods as well. I have alot of CBS carts which are made in the UK, they all work and in this day and age NTSC carts arent a problem either. On another note, 7800 carts seem hard to find. O, btw, i've met many collectors.

    Pitfall II

Played it 3 times and once seriously this morning. This is for sure an A1 title for 2600, Not really too hard but loads of fun

    7800 50hz to 60hz mod?

Pal machines are generically slow and damn awful to play, Played a pal SMS lately?? Changing from 50/60hz is generally a very basic mod, however i dont have the know how for a 7800. An ntsc cart will still run slow on a borderline screen with a pal atari regardless. Yes, tv's here generally pick up ntsc, seacam and the the rest. Pal IMHO is a better tv system for TV, However alomst all games are manufactured in ntsc countries (less scanlines) and therefore have a very shit port over to PAL. A good place to find this would be any pre DC sega console, Turok and FFX on the PS2, Its been a problem forever that only the cube and xbox seemed to have conquered. I have modded the following successfully sega saturn snes Mega drive 2 (thanks zero) Only SMS2 and ataris to go
  21. And yesterday Real sports baseball, boxed, sealed,, must be NTSC? Gauntlet, sms excite bike, nes kung fu, nes ecco the dolphin, md street fighter 2 champion ed, md klax, md today, 2 x c64''s, newer smaller ones one floppy drive one keyboard overlay 2 boxes of tapes, discs, carts
  22. I really dont think there are way fewer PAL carts considering the ammount of PAL only's. You have to consider all of europe, Australia mm New zealand? In actual fact i think there may very well be more considering the ammount of pal countries in Europe alone. There are many 5 and aboves on this site that are very common. A proper PAL rarity guide will take a very long time,,,
  23. I only have 13 7800 titles, My faves for sure are MsPac, Mario and donkey kong. I like them more then the NES versions because they are harder, Maybe not as graphically close to the arcade as NES but easily as difficult.
  24. Hi all I have a question in regards to real sports baseball, I realize this game is probably really easy for U.S gamers to get their hands on as it has a rating of 2?? Well today i picked up a copy here in australia, a sealed copy in a typical silver atari box dated 1988. Can someone please confirm that this was never released here or europe (PAL)?? I cant see any NTSC or PAL identification on the box and well,, I don't wanna open it ok?"If we can confirm NTSC i'll open it as it's pretty common there. Kinda bizarre to find it here though meez thinx
