had a weird but wonderful find today
Boxed/complete SMS Bubble Bobble, There was also an ecks vs sever cart in the same box
-
yeah, it was a lucky find indeed. The 1st wild find for me for 8 bit atari. Anyway, i also picked up Midnight magic today.
Speniding alot of time on the xegs, finally a real contender for colecovision and to a degree nes
-
Finally some xe carts, all boxed with manuals
desert falcon
ball blazer
food fight
gato
karateka
bugs
barnyard blaster
crossbow
crime buster
star raiders 2
ace of aces
archon
rescue from fractulas?
one on one
flight simulator 2
Im getting hooked with xe

Finally i have some carts for the xegs, about 13 in general. For those games that have been crossed platformed (7800) i have to say i prefer the 8 bit xe version in all cases. This machine was not common here in aus at all so this is kind of like my discovery I spose.
8-Bit atari kicks ass!

I was thinking no until i noticed that i have thps3,4,thug for the ps2, gc and xbox. So i spose i do.

After opening up my supervision smb3 it looks like a famicom cart soldered to an adapter, rather then an adapter i can use. Back to the famicom 72 to 60 pin conector for me.
-
Ahh, the old D0 issue, dont bother soldering it, just screw it in with any of the MB bolts. I find to have less problems after flashing the on-board bios, this involves 2 simple solders. See if you can get slayers install disc to flash it.

Mario 64 imho is still the most ground breaking title to date on ay platform. I bought an n64 from the states with m64 as i couldnt wait for the australian release. I even bought a tv that could handle NTSC. So im lookiong forward to the ds

The swap trick is easy and can be performed on model 1 and model 2, Its is however much easier on a model 1 as it has the access lights. I swap alot on a US model 1 with an action replay, the cd drive has a kill switch like the DC so the moment you touch the spinning cd it cuts out until you replace it. There are mod chips available but they are for model 2 only, thats both the 32 and 21 pin versions. If you have a model 1 you are out of luck.. you could probably get a model 1 modchip but it would be high$

I have a laptop with missing keys and stubborn ones that almost work, after a while you just dont want to spell check everything. If you can understand what the content is then its not really an issue.
Anyway, the NES toaster is 1 awful design to say the least, Ive turned to getting a famicom with a 72 to 60 pin adapter, of course everything works and at 60hz which is a great difference for us pal countries

The last Casio game I played involved punching a bunch of numbers into a calculator, turning it upside down, and seeing the word BOOBIES printed out. Or, you know, 8008135 ...Nice find.
Good one.
i just remember seeing 816 80085 and 80087355 835513,
Like to see some screenins from that console,
-
Thats a kick ass famicom, im yet to get a keyboard version. You are having alot of luck there, I thought famicom clones where hard to find in europe,
-
Is tournament fighters for the NES a hack? or the real deal? I kind of like it, its better on the snes but for the hardware i think it works quite well on the nes
-
Theres only 1 console gun game i have on the list of consoles ur asking about,, Crossbow on the 7800 is pretty good stuff. If you think of venturing into other consoles i'd recomend the following
PSX, Point blank 1,2 and to a degree 3
Saturn, virtual cop 1 & 2, kickass gunning
DC - house of the dead 2, loads of fun
SMS, operation wolf, excellent conversion.
-
Salvation Army finds!!$3.99 each:
NES- Nes Open Tournament Golf
SNES- Donkey Kong Country 2
NES- Nes Open Tournament Golf,, such an excellent game, The greatest pre "Major title" golf game imho. Nice find

Sloppy graphics and jaggies make a game shit, simple as that. crisp clear 2600 graphics are just fine, its not about the graphic capbailities, its about the quality of production
-
theres just something about the ps2 i dont like, I love games but i cant really think of any on the ps2 apart from gta3 that was polished enough
-
That was a damn funny link,
-
Ok, I sold my ps2. It has a large library of crap just like the psone does. More games , more shit. Seriously, i wouldnt buy my worst enemy a ps2 for any reason at all. Get an xbox, mod it up, Most ps2 games come out on the box, theres enough emulators to play virtually every 80's/90's consoles. As much as the sony consoles shit me, i would recomend getting a convertor to use a playstation pad on the box.
-
Im looking forward to trying and possibly buying the psp, my confidence is kind of crushed after the ps2, but it may just be a great little hand held on the final production. Who knows with sony and their pre-release statements of glory,,,,,,,,,
