  1. I have a 3.71MB PDF of her entire website as it was 13-08-2008 which had not really changed at all since that date, plus with the help of another Atari-Forum.com person I got most of the newer website. I'd upload the PDF file here but the maximum size allowed says 2MB.
  2. Oh and there is the Zview software to view PDF files that will not work unless a FPU chip is installed. Another app on there is Ztask, a taskbar and running tasks manager. Zorro - Coder At Work - Website to download Zview and Ztask and more
  3. You are not wrong there, I know for sure that she was very highly regarded. I've just left a comment over at Atari-Forum and I am still in shock.
  4. Yes and I think most people would use a Terminal Emulator cartridge like the Atari VT100, or emulation software. There definitely are people doing stuff with Linux in this way, but using the ST as a dumb terminal to control a Linux box.
  5. Yeah I agree with the ST there is very little benefit apart from CAD, but surely there are other genres of software that benefit? I mean the audio sample editor Zero X has a specific version for the FPU for instance. Also there must be some video and DTP apps that use it? It's time we had a thorough and accurate list of software that supports or requires the FPU.
  6. I enjoyed the slideshow despite the inaccuracies, but hey....no matter who does an articles there is usually some human error!
  7. Yes this really is a FANTASTIC effort that I am really enjoying.
  8. Currently LCD TFT 19" 4:3 ratio but it is old and will not last forever... As long as the image is centred properly and not in one corner, otherwise the interface needs to be able to sort this. Current one square but next one will likely be wide due to scare square 4:3 ratio ones. To fully enjoy demos well yes it is. Many demos need this to look smooth and authentic. I would like this for sure. I doubt it but my next one certainly will, because I will choose one based on this. I've got the STE version. The less the better in my case. There is a demand for this and that includes myself!
  9. An Atari CDROM player sold on Ebay last year for a good price and was in perfect condition.
  10. That's ok I know how you feel! Anyway it would be lovely to see it happen for the Falcon!
  11. Would a port of this game to the Falcon 030 be possible without too much of a headache?
  12. Yes that is true, which makes it non-standard or not authentic to the original but apart from that is seems ok.
  13. Looks good; care to give us a breakdown of each seperate bit of hardware, such as the various drives?
  14. Nice looking machine though and like one of mine, it still has the protective badge label on.
  15. Over in the UK that would probably sell for £70 to £130 approx, and sometimes more.
  16. How much are wives currently going for on Ebay? I'm not selling as I do not have one, hence why I am flooded with gear everywhere I turn!
  17. Me too and I look forward to the rest of the issues when they are posted.
  18. I've seen a few but mostly on German and Austrian Ebay.
  19. Thanks Dal for your terrific hard work and dedication in getting AF back online for the world to use!
  20. I do not have a Cubase Audio Clock Module and my SPDIF and FA8 cover the clock requirements anyway.
  21. Tiotally agree. Even in the mid 80s 5.25" seemed old hat and slightly amusing, whereas 3.5" seemed modern, faster and convenient. However I personally only used floppies in school in the 1980s and did not own one until 1994 when I finally bought my own STE; I had used my friends ST/E computers for many years prior to this though. Come the 1990s though and all I was interested in were hard drives, and the first one I owned was in 1997; a Quantum Fireball 540MB in a Fostex DMT8 v2 digital multitrack and I still have it...and it still works fine!
  22. At that time I would have strongly agreed and I only had an Amstrad CPC464! No way would I have swapped for an IBM PC but I would have for an ST or Amiga!
  23. I nearly bought some 68010 CPUs before Xmas when I read on Atari-Forum, about a user who had got this working on the STE with TOS 2.06. I guess 2.06 is very similar to the TT TOS, so perhaps it could work on my STE machines?
