Yes, I agree but I won't complain as long as the high bidder comes through As you can see the picture shows the label wear and I described the flaws but I guess two bidders REALLY wanted it. But, for that price I won't charge for shipping Doug

He's talking about the standard CX-40 joystick that was packaged with the heavy sixer Ataris. The original joysticks had 4 springs in them where the contacts are for movement. Also, the fire button pushes in further and clicks when pressed. Doug

Hello, Actually I need the manuals too for both Solar Storm and Quick Step. I have the carts already, just need the boxes and manuals to complete my boxed Imagic collection for the Atari 2600. Can anyone PLEASE help me out? I have stuff to trade as well as money to purchase them if the price is right. I was inspired by CPUWIZ's recent picture of his complete boxed Telesys collection. I would like to take a picture of a complete boxed Imagic collection too Thanks if anyone can help! Doug

WOW ! You have a boxed King Ding! I used to have a boxed Ding-A-Ling Fireman that I recently sold. Cool stuff, Doug

I'm also not able to afford $300+ carts but when I do buy a lot of Atari stuff for my collection, which recently I have, I always try to replace the money I spent by selling my extras as well as other toys I collect like vintage Lego sets. In other words, I use my various collections to pay for my collections. My bills get paid, that's why I go to work On the other hand, I don't collect because I have any lofty expectations that my Atari collection will put my kids through college. I collect purely for the enjoyment of the hobby. I would discourage anyone from collecting for hopes of getting rich. You never know what anything will be worth in the future. A $300 cart may only be worth $200 in the future. You never know. Just have FUN! Doug

large at the moment. I don't see it making much difference as I side swipe the bombs anyway. Oh...It makes a difference! Give it a try sometime

Hi, The mask never comes off. Doug

Excellent job on cracking 10K! I'm sure you will get a million points eventually. It took me about 5 and a half hours but can take up to 7 depending on your strategy. Doug

I've been looking for a boxed basic math for 8 months and this is the first one I've ever seen, and it's a gatefold to boot. Perhaps you think a gatefold basic math is only worth $20, but I would have paid $50 for it. The flag capture is easily worth $25 as well. The gem is not the price I paid, but the fact that this is the first and only boxed basic math I've ever seen on eBay. That's funny, Basic Math 61 was the last of the gatefold boxes I needed to complete my collection too! I got in in a lot of boxed games from eBay a few years ago for a good price, something like 50.00 for 30 boxed games. My gatefolds have the original olive color catalogs with them too as well as the original warranty cards and mailing list cards I'm still hunting a complete collection of Sears Tele-Games gatefolds. The funny thing about that collection is that Math was the FIRST one I got Doug

Donovan's Atlantis might work for the game Atlantis Doug -
Thanks CPUWIZ! That is awesome to see the whole Telesys collection together like that Is there any difference in the boxes whether or not its Pal or NTSC? Or are they exactly the same? Take care, Doug

Hi, David Yancey may have something to say about who's #1 for Sky Jinks at the moment Doug

The Keystone Kapers is very cool, I was watching that one myself but decided in the last minute not to bid. Only problem I have with the Roc'n'Rope is the Xeroxed instructions. I just like everything to be original but still, 8.00 isn't too bad since it isn't too common I guess. Doug

Pitfall! Explorers Club letter from Activision
the 5th ghost replied to the 5th ghost's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Well, thats a toughy. I never sold one before but was thinking in the 10 - 15 range. I mean, it is a rare letter, I don't think too many poeple saved them, plus it is in mint condition. I thought people who collected the patches might find it interesting to put with the patch. I will also consider trades since I am a collector forst and foremost. Take care, Doug -
Hi, For those of you who like to collect the various Activision patches, I have something that may be of interest. I have an extra Activision letter for the Pitfall! Explorers Club patch. This is the letter you received along with the Explorers Club patch when you sent in your score of 20,000 points or higher to Activision to obtain the patch. The letter is original and is near mint. If anyone is interested in purchasing it from me please let me know! Take care, Doug

I have one of these as well and it's Mouse Trap too. The funny thing is that the box for the Coleco Gemini advertises a free Donkey Kong instead. Doug

Decent price for a boxed Strawberry Shortcake

Seller was very friendly and agreed to 3.00 for the shipping Doug -
Just picked this up: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=2943755714 I asked for a better shipping quote since we are both in PA, 1st class would be much cheaper. I mainly got this one for the box, I already have the game. Doug

Check here! One flaw I noticed in the tari 2600 section is that in Kaboom!, when you hit a million points, the score freezes at 999,999. There is no "!!!!!!" in Kaboom!. Doug

I don't know exactly what the longest running highscore is, whether it be pinball, arcade, console, etc. but if I were to make a prediction, I would confidently state that Todd Roger's 5.51 that he acheived on Dragster for the Atari 2600 back in 1980 will last an ETERNITY.

Here is a photo. I couldn't find a listing for it in the rarity guide. Blackjack is one of the few games originally with text labels only. These games were re-released in 1986 with picture labels. I think the only other games that were text only prior to 1986 are: Flag Capture, Fun With Numbers, and Game Of Concentration. One question: After Casino was available, why bother re-releasing Blackjack? Thanks for the picture! It's always very cool to see a new label variation for the first time Now I have to be on the hunt for that version too Doug

I wasn't aware of an Atari picture label of BlackJack. I know of the Sears picture label version though. Doug

I'm a player who enjoys collecting just as much. I have over 600 different games for the 2600, 5200 and 7800 combined. Will I play every one? OF COURSE I WILL! For me it's also about having the selection, the option to try a different game whenever I want. Not only is that option there for me, but for visitors as well. They may get to play a game they never heard of before and really enjoy it. It's all about the option. My collection is a fully functioning one, not a display only collection. I also choose to play the real thing only, no emulators for me. I tried the emulator once out of curiosity and didn't care for the experience at all. Nothing like the real thing, that is my personal preference. The collector in me likes to find the original boxes for games, systems, controllers, etc. simply because I like to have things in as original a state as possible for nostalgia purposes. I don't have a time machine but at least my collection can look like I went back in time to get them I guess I fall under both categories, I'm a serious collector who plays every game I get Doug
