Hello, hopefully somebody can help me with a little problem I'm having with my sega cd. It powers up fine, but no matter what disc I insert it always says "no disc". I've cleaned all of the contacts, and the lens, and I can hear the disc spinning in the drive. Any idea what could be causing this problem, and how I'd go about fixing it? Thanks. Edit: Actually it seems like the disc stops spinning after the "no disc" message appears...

The controller port on my Genesis 2 has been weirding out since I got it; I had the area around the connecting pins re-soldered, and that seemed to work for awhile, but now the controller seems to only work correctly on certain games. For example, when I play aladdin with a six button controller, the up direction on the pad sometimes doesn't work. I'll play something like Earthworm Jim, and it plays fine. Then I'll play Mortal Kombat 3, and none of the buttons on the controller work. However, I'll switch out the controller for a 3 button one, and it works fine. (except of course for the added aggravation of playing fighting games on a 3 button controller). Controller port 2 works perfect, and there doesn't seem to be any other problems with the unit. Anyone know what the problem could be? Any help is greatly appreciated.
