  1. I'm looking to get an adaptor for using Atari joysticks on my TI 99/4A. .. that is all.
  2. Heh, I had a WANG printer once.... I got rid of it at REPC. Oh.... davewake.... King Missile has a song for you.
  3. I dare you to send a letter to the editor.... or whoever it is that runs their magazine's letters section.
  4. If you have a Mac with a SCSI port, you can buy a SCSI to ethernet adaptor for it. From there it's all software related.... and I havn't actually tried to use my adaptor yet as I don't have any of my compact macs set up other than my 512Ke.. And that model doesn't have SCSI.... [rant]maybe once I find a TV repair shop that wont shit bricks when I ask them if they could fix the bad solder joints on the analog board of my otherwise minty clean Mac Plus. I get so tired of these jerk off repair techs who aren't even willing to quote me a price. I know it's going to cost more than most people would value the thing at, I don't GIVE A SHIT about that... just quote me a price damnit.[/rant]
  5. no, it says right on Low End Mac, no expantion slot. So no apple ii card... but how about this, get an apple //c, and the matching 9inch monitor... now, duct tape the //c to the bottom of the classic, and duct tape the monitor to the top. There you have it, your Mac and //e in one, and guess what! you have more screen realistate that way! Anyway... there are some fun games that work on that Mac Classic. ...Also, maybe you should check out this page I found. http://www.d4.dion.ne.jp/~motohiko/game.htm I HIGHLY recommend Shuffle Puck Cafe. Hrmm.... looking it over.... I think I need to download some games for my Old Macs... thought that site doesn't appear to have any actual downloads.... talk about suck. Though you can probably find most of those games on The Mac Garden... though there are a lot of broken links on Mac Garden.... they've been having problems for a while now.
  6. Well, I'd say when I was in junior high would be about right.. I ended up with all my friends either giving or selling me all their old games that they didn't want anymore when I was in High School when they found out I had started collecting games for any system I could get my hands on.... so... looking back.. that was probably about 8 or 9 years ago. Hrmm... I did loan out one of my NES games to a co-worker once maybe a couple years ago. Got it back a week later, in just as good a condition as when I had loaned it out... I didn't require any kind of colataral on that.
  7. GameCrazy is a game store that you sometimes find inside Hollywood video rental shops. The one where I live appears to be doing away with their stock of games 16 bit and earlier. I got a huge load of Game Gear Games from t hem for 99 cents each a few months ago... now they don't even have NES games. Too bad, I liked going in there and just buying whatever I could find $5 and under that I didn't already have once every few months.
  8. Back when I had friends I'd loan games, but I had to get another game/system as colateral just in case. I remember back when the SuperNES and Genesis were still current, all my friends had SNES systems while I had the Genesis, I'd regularly swap systems and games with my friends... then after a month we'd swap them back.
  9. Those genesis games that say Not For Resale on them were packins, not display copies. The "Not for resale" label was simply to keep shady retailers from pulling the games out of the packages and selling them seperate from the systems for more profit.
  10. ooh.. I have got to finish cleaning up my room so I can show my new means of holding my A/V equipment.. it's so much better than the wobbly TV stands I rescued from being trashed.
  11. I've never "trashed" anything electronic. Not even before it became illegal here. I'm a big fan of recycling and reuse. I have dropped off lots of stuff at RePC. I'm not really sure what the last thing I dropped off there was... I just know I try to find someone to buy/take stuff before I go. I think the last thing I took there was a television. Maybe the last computer I dropped off was a powermac 9600... I would have liked to keep it but it was just too big.
  12. I rather like how my IIgs looks. I like how the computer, monitor, keyboard and mouse all look like they're designed to look just right with eachother... right down to the back part of the (original stock). I've always rather liked the whole Apple II line in general... I kinda find myself wishing I'd get lucky and find a Bell & howell Apple II... A black Apple II... pretty spiffy other than that... The original Mac is cute... I have a 512Ke, a Plus, and an SE.... I also like the original C64 case design and the overal look of the 1702 monitor.
  13. I'd say they look like they're wearing matching christmas themed sweat shirts.
  14. JB is right on the audio... the Genesis 1 is not equipped with any audio lines on the expansion socket. Though it is an understandable confusion.. since the audio at the rear is mono and the audio on the headphone jack is stereo. My Model 1 Sega Genesis is modified to not need the patch cable.(It was done along with import mods on both my Model 1 genesis and model 1 SCD) OSG added stereo audio lines to the expansion port for me.
  15. I picked up a boxed Sears Tele-Games Super Pong IV a couple days ago. It came with 4 paddle controllers, two permanently connected, and two which are disconectable. Also came with a "Battery Eliminator" AC adaptor... When I first plugged it in it worked, but the paddles were jittery so I opened the left padle and dripped some deoxit into the potentiomiter.... and spun back and forward untill it wasn't jittery anymore... but then I got pulled away and when I came back it had shut off and the AC adaptor was buzzing... so I used the AC adaptor off my Atari SuperPong... but now it behaves as if the right controller isn't connected at all. Oh well.. It's the first Pong system I've found in a thrift store.
  16. I have no cartridges for my Fairchild Channel F, or my TI99/4A computer... though I don't have any joysticks either(for the TI). I don't have a P/S unit for the power supply to the CD Unit I got with my TG16 last month so it's just about as bad as having the system and no games.... I should really do something about that.
  17. I saw something kind of funny once while playing Smash Bros. on the Game Cube in multiplayer... Player as pikatu is on platform and does that picatue power thing where he's his arms out and his head pointed up and he brings down a lightning bolt. Player as Link has jumped onto same platform and is in that moment between just moving and stopped... where he is leaning forward about to bend back up. Player as pikatu's cell phone rings so he hits pause at this very moment. What is on screen is pikatue with his arms out head pointed up lightning striking, link bent over with his head in pikatue's crotch like well.. yeah... uh... At this everyone in the room burst out laughing. What sucks is noone had a camera or other means to get a screenshot. I dunno that it was disturbing, but it sure was funny at the time.
  18. Scart has more pins. http://utopia.knoware.nl/users/eprebel/Sou...ring/SCART.html
  19. Hi, Yesterday I bought a 25" tabletop television at a thrift store for $9.99 It's a Hitachi. very nice internal stereo speakers Very good picture Two sets composite video/stereo audio inputs... One AV output and one RGB input...which is the only reason I even pulled it off the shelf to turn it on. It also was fairly clean for a 22 year old TV in a thrift shop.... and doesn't smell of cigarettes. Though.... I don't know what kind of connector that RGB port uses.
  20. NES Genesis GameBoy GenesisII GameGear Nintendo64 GameCube I think that's about everything I bought new as opposed to used.
  21. Wha do I got... hrmm Rather than worry about what's classic and what's not, I'm just going to post what I have in general. You'll notice I have some computers listed in here... Atari: 2600 4-switich woodgrain 2600 Jr. Lynx I Lynx II 5200 2-port 7800 130XE SuperPong Sega MasterSystem GameGear x2 Genesis 1 modified for inports Genesis 2 Sega CD 1 modified for inports Sega CD 2 Saturn Dreamcast Nintendo NES SNES N64 GC GB GBA:SP DS Apple IIe //c IIgs various older Macs... Commodore: C64 SX64 Amiga 1200 Other Playstation... I really have yet to buy any games for it though. NeoGeo pocket color Odyssey^2 Fairchild Channel F Intellivision coleco Adam.. need to get a power supply modified for it since I have no printer and no where to put one... or I may just part with it. Epson PX-8 portable computer... little cp/m machine... not really a game machine.. a WYSE 286... but then you never really hear about anyone getting nostalgic over MS DOS and Windows 3.0 now do you?
  22. Well if you're interested in emulators, you should go here: http://emulation.victoly.com/
  23. Hi It's late.. but I'm still wired from work can't think of what to do though... so I guess I'll just post an edited version this members post to be more readable.. not neccesarily perfect though. Don't mind me... Anyway... I'd like to know what, if any extra boxed copies of games you have if you're looking to sell.
  24. today I had an awsome and an awfull. At the first Goodwill I hit.. which I was originally going to pass up cuz I'm trying not to spend money... but my willpower just flew away as I found my hands steering the car into the parking lot against my will...I swear! I didn't mean to do it!... I found him.... for $9.99...... the bigger him... the smaller one was mine already. At the last goodwill I hit... I found a genesis controller for $1.99... I also found a big green puddle around the front left tire of my car when I exited the store.... at further investigation I found it just happened to be the same coolent I put in my car... that keeps my car from overheating.. and even further investigation showed that it wasn't just the same... it was the VERY SAME coolent I poored in my car! ARRGGGGG!!!!!!.... so... I had to make a call to AAA and have it towed to my house. Anyway.. I'm trying not to think about the bill that I'm going to pay to get that one fixed until it comes later this week when I can get the car to the shop.... no I'm just trying to think about how f-ing cool my find at the first goodwill is.
