  1. Yeah, I messed around with the settings. I had it hooked up to a portable radio.... It seemed all I could do was make it vibrate continuesly more or less... I'll be trying it on something else in a bit though.
  2. I went to my local goodwill a week ago... I picked up two NES games($1.99 each), two Nintendo zappers($1.99 each), one 2600 game($1.99), one of those interact vibrating back things that are supposed to make you feel the game($9.99), and a Sony Mavica with battery($9.99). I think the interact thing might not work though I do have all the parts, it just seemed to just vibrate the same manner constantly when I hooked it up to a radio. The Mavica works pretty well, and was a rather convenient find as my regular digital camera had something go bad in it and had half it's buttons stop working just a week earlier(and just a month after the waranty expired.)
  3. well, I did a google image search and recognised one of the screen shots... Here it is. Game Gear on TV
  4. I know at one time I saw a page on someone's attempt at it, you might be able to find it with google. It didn't work as well as they would have liked though.... I think it had some issues with colors not being correct or no color at all or something like that.
  5. hrm... maybe I'm not really awake yet... I put that link in as though I were writing an e-mail. http://www.old-computers.com/museum/comput....asp?st=1&c=186 for those of you who don't like copy pasting links.
  6. Aparently you plugged cartridges into the two slots under the floppy drive on the PCjr. <http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=186>
  7. Unless you count the Dreamcast, I only have one modern console: The Game Cube. In general only systems I've bought new were from Sega or Nintendo. Pretty much everything else I've bought used. Someday I may get all the current systems at once.. but not now, I can't afford to do things that way. There are a few games I've seen for PS2 that do interest me some. Nothing that was only available on the Xbox, that I've seen, really screams out to me though. Though I'm sure eventually I'll get one.
  8. I don't think my dad ever paid shareware registration fees. He didn't seem to understand why I wanted to send one to two weeks worth of my allowance($3 a week) to register a game he already paid Fred Meyer $5 for.
  9. Oh yeah, The Underdogs is a pretty good place to find old shareware and freeware games along with reviews and screenshots.
  10. If not for those shareware games in stores I probably never would have played games on my Dad's 286. My favorite DOS shareware game that my dad got was Tank Wars. Out of curiousity, how many people paid the shareware registration fees on games they liked?
  11. I have a TAC 2 it looks like it should be a good joystick... mine just seems very wornout and isn't very responsive.
  12. Last I checked Best Electronics has rebuild kits for sale. You have to call them and order by phone.
  13. The more I've been using it, the more I've really started to like the Wicco Bat handle joystick I picked up a few months ago. Before I got that I generally just used my 7800 joypads.
  14. Last time I wanted a game that couldn't be bought in stores anymore because I waited just a little too long, I found on Amazon.com stores.
  15. CX40 is probably my least liked joystick... It doesn't feel right.... it's too stiff with very minimal actuall movement. I generally either use my Wicco or my 7800 joypads when I'm playing 2600 or 7800 games.
  16. Well, sure there's allways that option, but its nice to not need another box on the desk.
  17. Um... ok... I don't know how I did it, but I did it... That comment about having a CuttleCart 2 was supposed to go next to the count for 7800 games, not next to the count for Lynx (not that such a cart made for a portable system wouldn't be awsome though... )
  18. 19. You can always ask him mine. "What is a WatW?" :-)
  20. *stab*Thumbsticks are the single worst invention in the history of gaming. Tehy're JUST big enough to get in the way. Especially the analog ones. It's impossible to get any precision on an analog thumbstick. ::Ducks:: Touchy touchy... so much violence... Should someone be taking away your games? Once I got used to the analog thumb stick on the N64 controller I didn't find it so difficult to use... before that I honestly never had used analog controll except maybe once at a friends house on an Apple IIgs. As far as bigger joysticks go, I do have to admit that the Wico Command Control joystick I found at Goodwill for $2 a few months ago is pretty nice... it's all I've been using on 2600 games since... I'd love it if it had a switch of some sort to make the base button act as button 2 on the 7800.
  21. I actually use a utility called ]JbidWatcher to track and snipe auctions. I'm not much for sniping manually.
  22. or girl.. like whatever. ::adds Chickybaby to list of AA members to rob::
  23. SP's ebay method: Find auction.... wait... Snipe Auction with max I'm willing to blow on it.... what more is there? There's nothing really special to bidding.... just bid what you're willing to pay and let ebay proxy bid for you.
