It's base is swivel.

It was made in 1980...
I want to get ahold of a broken table top colortrak 2000... so I can have someone put it's A/V input/output circuitry in my console. For whatever reason(and beleive me it wasn't space) RCA left it out of the wood console model.

Hello,
My 7800 power button isn't very responsive. I usually have to push hard and hold it down for a few seconds before it turns on or off.....or press multiple times.... I'm worried that having to do this could cause my CC2's MMC's data to get corrupted since sometimes the system will flip off and back on again and do wierd stuff when I'm trying to turn it off.
Anyone know what I could do about this?

Hey.l..
Since I can't edit this into my old post I'm making a new one.
About a week ago I came home determined.... determined to move the 25 inch RCA colortrak 2000 console TV from the Den, where it wasn't being used, to my room.... upstairs. Anyway, with me pulling on the dolly and my sister and mother pushing from below, we managed to get the TV up the stairs.

By the way, thats one of the CC2 spairs in the 7800.

And yes.... my score does suck.

Hey,
Thanks to your explanation I have come up with a solution that appears to work very well.

I put one of my Genesis controller extention cables between the joystick and the system. I originally bought them because I don't like how short 2600 controller cables are. Anyway, it works great.

I've never been to an expo...and I'm currently at home... So I don't think I'm at CGE right now.
Someday I'll go to a classic gaming expo of some sort.... I'd really love to.

They look like they might be Intelivision carts to me.

@SuperPsyco, How long have you been collecting?Well, I've been a gamer ever since my family the NES in '87... but as for seriously collecting.... I'd say it started when I inhereited my Commodore 64... which I think was... I think it was 2001. Anyway, it was in the middle of High School and I graduated in '02. So, about 3 years officially.... well... yeah, I also joined this forum a little later as I got a 5200 from a friend in trade for making a switch box for his 4-port.. so 2001 for sure.

Here's all my stuff... I still live with my parents so it's all in my bedroom. (well, accept for the IIgs and the Fairchild Channel F, those are set up in other rooms)
I normaly have my Model 1 Sega CD/Genesis/32X setup between the 5200 and Game Cube but a friend is borrowing it so I just threw my model 2 setup on the desk to represent it.

I have a two controller set of wireless controllers for N64. I bought them from Tiger Surplus and they work pretty nice so far. It would appear that you can't have more than two of them at a time though.

I got the first issue of this Magazine in the mail a few days ago. It's the first magazine in general that I've really found very interesting in quite a while. I think it's defenently worth getting a subscription.

I don't think the ranking system should really be chnaged either. Personaly I don't like the idea of people ranking others' posts. I think people are more likely rate things when they aren't happy with something rather than when they like something.

I don't suppose you'd know somoene who'd be interested in being paid to add s-video/audio output to a 7800 with really flaky RF output would you?
I've seen instructions for a few mods and I really don't feel up to doing them myself.
-
yeah... no screws.. There are instructions on how to open it in the pdf manual on the CD that came with it.

Hello,
I got one of these a few months ago for a couple bucks... but I never got around to trying it out untill today. I plugged it into my 7800 which had my CC2 inserted and loaded 7800 Centipede. The joystick appeared to work... I was able to move it left and right to select the game mode...
I started the game and for a breif second I was able to move and shoot with the joystick and then I could controll the game no longer. I have tried several different cartridges and I can't controll any games with this controller now. I can use my Joypad controllers just fine.
The Wicco seems to work just fine with my Commodore64 so I just don't understand what's going on.

Anyone have pics cached? The Google Cache is not showing images and the actual site doesn't have it anymore. There's a mirror of it here.

Well, that's a bummer... yeah... ... It's Parker Bros...and there isn't any real apparent way to open it other than breaking it.
-
Yeah.. I've had loose NES carts before...I open them up and hot glue popsicle sticks in to reenforce the pcb....Usually I find that the plastic that keeps the pcb in place has broken off t he rest of the cartridge case when that's like that.
Unfortunantly I'd say the pcb in this C64 cartridge is in its spot very tight..so no ammount of force is likely to get it working.
Thanks for the idea though.

Oh, you could never get me to blow into the end of any cart. It might help at the moment but in the long run it can cause some pretty nasty corrosion on the contacts.
I cleaned the cartridge with q-tips and alcohol.. No way blowing would work better than that.
I also cleaned the cart ports on both my C64 and SX-64. Yeah.... it's pretty much toast. Which really sucks because the cartridge and label are in really nice shape too.
-
Dangit!

All I know is I got it in a trade with someone when my C64 was in need of repairs... I traded something that worked for it a while back and never got around to checking it out untill now.
Sigh... Stupid dead Frogger II: Threedeep! C64 cartridge.... my one and only C64 cartridge and it doesn't work.

oh well at least it came with a nice box. .. now I just have to get a loose cart.

I just had to vent because this means I still don't have a single cartridge based C64 game.
-
I've always just wetted an old cotton t-shirt with alcohol, stretched it over a butter knife, and used that to clean cartridge ports... works pretty well. Just gotta watch out you don't catch the pins on the shirt or rag... and don't use a shirt you have intent to wear again... you'll put holes in it. :-P

The first game I bought for my Atari 2600 was Astroblast. Someone had conveniently stuck it in the Atari 2600 I found on my first ever trip to Goodwill.
