They could be original copies in alternate cases becaus the originals were thrown out for somereason... such as being at one time rentals... you could allways try asking the seller for pictures of the game disks them selves.

I've had one really annoying miss that was really close(not say 30 seconds close mind you, never acctually seen someone walking off with something I wanted. That would just...) I was going to mow the lawn that day..... I was going to do it early in the morning.... but I set my alarm for PM instead of AM..... so I woke up.... around 11AM.....I was going to get up around 8AM.. I guess it's no big deal to sleep in or something...just wanted to be awake for more of the daylight hours... So while I'm getting dressed I notice out my window that the next door neihbor has some tables with crap on them in the driveway...so I'm like "ooh! Garage sale!" So I rush to get the rest of my clothes on and run out through the backyard to their house. Well... All they had was some old PC junk and some clothes.. Then someone asked me if I needed any help ... I said I was "oh, I'm just looking for old video games" "Oh, I'm so sorry! We had a Sega an' a Nintendo and a box full of games but we sold it an hour ago!" Bah! I was going to get up early.. I woulda seen them setting up while I was mowing the lawn.

erm... which model Genesis and Sega CD do you have? If you have a model 1 Genesis, you will need to get a stereo mini plug cable to go from the front headphones jack on the Genesis to the mix port on the back of whichever model Sega CD you have and then take the audio from the stereo RCA outputs on the back of the Sega CD unit. If you have a Model 2 Genesis and a Model 2 Sega CD, then the audio mixing is done throught the expantion port and all you need to do is use hook the AV cable to the back of the Genesis as both the Genesis's sound and the Sega CD's sound will be coming from there, mixed together.

I like strategy guides. They keep me from going balistic and smashing things like cartridges and disks when I get stuck. (well, acctually I don't need them to do that....though I would have sold most of my video games long ago and just said @#$ it for all video games if I couldn't peek into a hint book of some sort when I got stuck)

who the hell uses the ''preview'' button? I do.

The ending for Sega Master System Rampage had the characters doing something... I can't remember what but I know I thought it was a cool ending sequence. That's too bad the NES version just flashed the screen over again. I've never played NES Rampage (Ralph the wolf is my fav charactor to play as so that version just sucks)
-
I've reached the ending in both Sega Master System Rampage and N64 Rampage World Tour. In fact I have an N64 Memory card with a save file that's on the last day. If I play through it I can see the ending sequence oveer and over again.... I think it was like 160 days or something.

I didn't put them back on. ..Al And neither did I. I also didn't bother to try getting the RF sheild back on when I installed the 5200 video mod in my 5200.

Mine was a little difficult as well... I found the pins were a little too far a part.... so I got one side in slightly and then I used a mesure stick to press all the pins on other side inward a a little to make it go in. I didn't bother to cut the sheild... I found that the mod made the TIA too tall for the sheild to go on so I would have had to cut a big hole for the TIA to stick out..(that is typical right?...I kept wondering if maybe I could have inserted it further but I didn't want to push it) My only prob is that the cables are so short... Anyone know where I could get an S-video cable with a female end or some other adaptor to alow me to plug another S-video cable into the S-video cable from the mod? Anyway I think the mod works real slick from what little I've had time to check it out.

Yeah, there were some instructions on a disk... I think.. there was something with it though but I don't know where I put my copy. If you're having trouble locating your instructions maybe you should e-mail 8bitDomain and ask for them to send the instructions to you by way of online file transfer or something?

Well, I was just browsing the MacAddict forums today when I found this thread. I'm sure some of you will have allready seen this...in fact it may have allready been posted..but I think it's pretty cool so I'll take the risk of being redundant... or incredibly late. It links to this one page(if this link doesn't work, there are more mirrors listed on the thread on MAF as linked above) with some pictures... I'd suggest downlading and reading the PDF... It's pretty funny.

That darned Dreamcast battery!
Rockin' Kat replied to liveinabin's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Oh, just thought I'd pop in and mention this... if you're going to replace the battery with a non-rechargeble battery you'll want to look into making a minor change to the system so it wont try to recharge the new battery before putting in the new battery. -
SMS and Gen1 A/V output question
Rockin' Kat replied to Kialan's topic in Classic Console Discussion
That's why I allways sort my ebay searches by price and try different searches. I've found good prices before because I searched for misspellings. -
SMS and Gen1 A/V output question
Rockin' Kat replied to Kialan's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I got my SMS/Gen1 A/V cables from a Dealer451 on e-bay for very cheap... he had lots of them on hand and probably still has more. I found a bunch of them on e-bay with fairly low BINs when I was looking for them. -
Maybe you should try using a toungue depresser(or a butter knife as I've used) and an alcohol soaked cotten rag....like maybe an old torn up t-shirt... just make sure the rag and toungue depresser don't add up to be thicker than a cart would be.

You're not serious, right? Personally I could never bring myself to gut a system that works fine for a MacQuarium... that and the fish would probably die because I'd forget to feed them regularly.
-
I can't beleive I forgot about this... I also have my Apple IIgs and Mac SE set up and ready to run. I just forgot to mention them because they aren't hooked up to the main setup. Also, angusjake: Ah, come on. You know you want one.
-
Well, on e-bay I'm SuperSonicPsycho and on bidiots I'm SuperSonic with no added Psycho.
-
I like getting boxes and manuals when they don't add too much to the cost... but if I can't get them or they add to the price to a ridiculous extent I don't care enough to pay a whole lot for them... anyway, my room would look very dull if I didn't have any boxes to display. But most of my games are just loose games.

WTB 2600 joystick cords/ dead joysticks.
Rockin' Kat replied to Stingray's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
I think I have some crappy Genesis controllers I can let go. -
The 1084 is yummy. I bought it on e-bay shortly after being given my Commodore64... I figured hey, here's a nice video monitor..it does Chroma/luma(s-video), Composite, and Analog RGB and it sez commodore on front. I gotta have it! I have so many systems hooked up, I don't think there's a TV out there with enough inputs! It's really nice having 4 switchboxes hooked up to my 1084. If you were so dumb to get rid of it, why not get another one? Anyway, what I'm ashamed of is I got a bunch of NES games including an Aladdin Deck Enhancer about 5 days ago and I havn't had a chance to try any of it out yet! and I have this switch box setup that makes it so easy and quick to change between systems too!
-
Hooked up to my 1084Monitor: three Atari Systems one Intellivision One Commodore64 four Sega Systems (six if you count 32x and CD) and four Nintendo Systems. I'm not sure what to be ashamed of..... ?

Thinking of selling my Game Gear stuff
Rockin' Kat replied to shining slade's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
And most likely these new old-stock ones you're talking about are almost all Majesco made and incompatible with the TV tuner. -
Other AC adapters for NES work?
Rockin' Kat replied to kevincal's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Acctually it just converts AC 120V to AC 9V. Any AC to DC conversion is done inside the system. Take a look at the output listed on an NES power adaptor.... while your at it, take a look at all your game systems' PS unit output listings.... Then take a look at the input ratings listed on your systems... (it's on the bottom of the NES) plugging a ps unit that puts out DC into a system that expects AC may work because it is eventually converted to DC anyway. However, putting AC into what is expecting DC can cause damage for sure.
