  1. On comment about disks.... From my experience 5.25" floppies tend to hold data much longer than 3.5" floppies...none of the old 3.5" DD/SD floppies I find ever work... but I all the 5.25" DD/SD disks I've found have worked. Oh well, at least new 3.5" DD/SD floppies can still be ordered in bulk online. Also, used PS/2 mice are easily had for next to nothing because they are everywhere...they are common. Mice for systems that do not use PS/2 or USB mice are not as easy to locate and can tend to cost more because of this.
  2. I bought an Aladdin Deck Enhancer with 4 Quattro Adventure for $4.99 at Game Crazy today.
  3. hey, just thought I'd pop back in here to say that it to put the 1351 mouse into 1350/joystick mode you have to hold the right mouse button down when you turn the system on... and that it appears to work with the 2600 this way.
  4. I know that if you hold one of the mouse buttons down on a 1531 when you turn the commodore on it is supposed to go into 1530(joystick) mode... I can't remember which button, but there's only two so it wouldn't take long to figure out... I don't know if this would work on something other than a commdore but you could allways try.
  5. Yeah... He was my favorite cat. Too bad he dissapeared a few days before I finally finished working on the gallery. :-( He used to sleep with me. And he'd wake me up in the morning by licking my hair..... And he used to get on my lap and put his chin on the space bar. Some of his fur is still stuck to my stereo speaker where he brushed up against it....I havn't brushed it off yet..but I know eventually I'll have to. He's gone..and I know that at this point, it's highly unlikely he'll show up. :-(
  6. What or who is Billy Ray Cyrus? Oh..and there are no Audio CD's up their.
  7. They are mostly AOL CD's. There are some Earthlink, MSN CD's.. something called Kids net, A few old MacAddict disks, Other disks.. Bad CD-Rs.... old back ups....old copies of turbotax...etc.... They are all stuck in via thumb tacks. When I move out I get to spackal all the pin holes and paint the room.
  8. Does it still do separate chroma/luma in 128 mode?
  9. The port right next to the serial port(which you plug disk drives into) is the A/V port. It puts out separate chroma/luma, Composite Video, and Audio. I'm fairly certain it's got the same pinout as the C64's A/V port so a cable being sold as a C64 A/V cable should work. just take a look at this picture.
  10. huh? Why is that on this list? It allready does RGB, Compsite Video, separate chroma/luma(s-video) and Audio output...what exactly are you looking to do that it doesn't do? As for that.... you should check out this. I have that in my 5200 and it is really nice.
  11. GameStop? Whats all this about GameStop? I almost never go into that store because I think their prices suck. I think the last time I bought something from them it was a big load of Atari 2600 games that I saw when I was trying to get a job. If they start putting all their used games on clearance I might take a look to see if they actually have any good prices. But once they don't have any used games I won't much reason to go there at all. I usually buy new games online. I've never traded anything in there....though I did once buy a used N64 game from them when the N64 was still Nintendo's latest. I decided the game sucked and sold it to some other store...only took a $2 loss on it...was expecting worse.
  12. Oh yeah...and whatever the case, don't use a game genie in one of the new tighter ports... as game genies tend to push t hee pins right out the back of them.
  13. I'm needing a new connector on my nes also, but i didnt see them at the goat store. I was in a hurry to get to work so I didn't double check to make sure they still stocked them. Anyway, like I said, MCM is still around (they have changed their main web address though, it's no longer i-mcm.com but instead http://www.mcmelectronics.com/) and you can be sure theirs are legit. Though if someone says that a certain e-bay seller sells the real deal for sure and not just "referbished" junk then you might want to consider buying from that e-bay seller as MCM tends to charge a bit high for shipping on smaller packages.
  14. Well, you could allways buy another one from MCM...or you could go to the goat store if buying one on e-bay makes you a little nervouse. By the way.. I could swear that the picture in the second, more expensive auction is the same pictur that MCM electronics used to have on their own product page...the picture with the blue background.
  15. The receiver is a Pioneer SX-737 from 1976. I bought it along with the speakers at a garage sale for $50 when I was in junior high...that would be in '98. I have a print out of an old magazine ad for it up on the wall above the closet...you can see it in the second to last picture in the gallary The PowerMac is a Dual G4/450Mhz model. One 30GB drive, one 40GB drive. 512MB of RAM (I think I might up it to 1GB in a month or two) Mac OS X 10.3.2 ATI Radion 8500 w/ 64MB of VRAM. I have a SCSI card in it but I havn't had a use for SCSI in a while. Anyway, Those CD's aren't on the wall, they're on the ceiling.
  16. I've got one Model 1 Genesis/Sega CD setup with 32X and one model 2 Genesis/Sega CD setup. I was originaly thinking about selling the model 2 setup..but I changed my mind and decided to keep both setups. I've got a few extra model 1 Genesis units. I've got both a model 1 and model 2 Lynx. I should get a comlynx cable. I would like to get a 2nd GameGear and a link cable for two player purposes. I have two Apple //c computers.
  17. Well, it wasn't mine to begin with. It used to be my sister's... just like my walkman used to be my sister's..and under fairly similar circumstances. The Antena broke off the radio... she chucked the radio in the garbage. I pulled it out of the garbage, opened it, and got my dad to solder a long peice of wire to where the antenna attatched on the circuit board and strung it through the hole the antenna screwed into. Presto, one free radio that works just fine. I am not at all imbarassed to own a Pink radio.
  18. yeah yeah yeah. I noticed... not that I normaly notice sarcasm.
  19. I have no jag. Should I go pick up that one I saw for $39.99 at that one used game store I keep seeing it in everytime I go to it? Or is that not a good price? Knowing the store they'll give me two controllers, power and A/V cables with it.
  20. yeah it sure is odd...I've been having trouble trying to view e-bay auctions for the past hour or so now... That starting bid is crazy.
  21. so.... um..$395... That sounds a wee bit expensive.....hrm?
  22. "can’t open the page “http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3080760336” because it could not load any data from this location.
  23. Well, I posted this on PlayNintendo forums allready but I just figured I'd post it over here too. I recently finished putting up a gallery showing off where I have all my stuff... Anyway since I'm sure none of you have things better to do than look at my small collection(or perhaps some of you are just looking for a distraction from something you just might be supposed to do...) anyway.... To reach The Lab just click the www button on my post, click the big ugly enter button, scroll past all the boring crap on the main page(or read it... that's your decision) and click "The Lab". ...or just click here for a more direct rout.
