  1. I'm 2 hours into my Raspberry Pi3b setup with Retropie. Doing a massive update for all software... look in the box and realize I forgot to put the heatsinks on the chips. Hoping nothing goes wrong until I finish the update and put them on! (VERY low heat so far but still stupidity on my part)

      The heatsinks are not really required. I put them on to extend the life of the board, but it was designed to function without them so I wouldn't worry. The heatsinks will be counterproductive if you have them inside of a case with no venting also (obviously). Good luck with the build! Some aspects are easy, some not so much when you start getting into CD based systems and BIOS files, or the PC port stuff.
