  1. I'm in the same boat. I can't even get to the score I previously posted. What I don't understand is how to avoid getting hit by enemies coming at you from the edges. You don't see them, they just hit you out of the blue. How are the edges being cleared out rack after rack without being hit? Are you guys noticing enemy flying patterns?
  2. Thanks for the pep talk! I'll give it another try. I wanted to try for 100K, but was so far from it with no improvement in sight. I thought this game was the last Atari 2600 cartridge I purchased in the wild (after I stopped collecting). Turns out, it was Star Fox.
  3. Probably participation points. Not good at this at all. 38,600
  4. Yes! I've been yelling at the screen (I'll admit it) because my helicopter is getting shot all the time and Frank Burns's helicopter hardly ever gets shot!
  5. Interesting game. Game 3: 999-782 = 217 Game 7: 999-657 = 342 This game was frustrating until I realized I could grab the shrapnel with any part of the tweezers (or whatever it is). My camera is so slow, I have to snap the photo when it has the M.A.S.H. logo on the screen.
  6. Thank you, keilbaca! I've been playing this game trying to reach the 1100 club and I can't even repeat my 1200 score! Oh well. I'll leave it at that. I've got two days of 12-hour work shifts ahead of me (boooo).
  7. Hey, I've heard of men wearing panties...strictly for comfort reasons, of course.
  8. A photo of him was used as the avatar of a former AA member who was a scammer and is now a legend.
  9. Well, I'm almost at the 1100 club. Can't quite get there, though. I think I'm just not handling the ladders well enough. Thanks Northcoastgamer for the new pattern! 1200
  10. From the screenshots, it still looks like you're knocking them out, though.
  11. Gives me another reason to visit again besides the Voodoo Doughnuts.
  12. I remember a thread where someone intentionally destroyed a "I Want My Mommy" cartridge and posted videos or pics of it (destroying game cartridges on YouTube was kind of popular at the time, for some reason). After posting it, a number of members commented that they needed that cartridge for their collections. The OP replied, "Was that cartridge really that rare?" LOL.
  13. I understand now. Thanks! I'd like to give my bonus point to LarcenTyler who has been a longtime participant in the HSC and always has a great attitude.
  14. Thank you so much for the bonus points Liduario and Scrabbler15! You are both excellent competitors but also very gracious and helpful to others.
  15. 17,570 Finally got to see the little Pac-Men I had to go four rounds before getting the two robots before that. The first two rounds I couldn't get any of them because my guy kept getting hit. That was frustrating. All the numbers in my scores lately have been less than 2 and more than 4, so I don't think I have a chance at any bonus.
  16. I had this game when I was a kid. My father bought it for me. I guess he thought it looked interesting as I had never heard of the game or the company that made it. I think it was the only Imagic title I ever had back in the day. 15,880
  17. Well, a game can't get much more underrated than E.T. I think it's very unique and challenging, plus it always changes where the phone parts and Reese's Pieces are so it's not the same game everytime. I like the graphics, too.
