just got my Ultimate out of storage after not using it for about a year - and it doesn't work anymore ... I checked the SD Card, it still reads ok on my computer, any ideas what I could do ? I tried the cart in an XEGS and a 600 XL - both show the same behaviour as if no cart is inserted, while the cart itself has a red blinking light ... thanks for any help !!

Dungeon Hunt II – Boxed version – interest check
manopac replied to jacobus's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Boxed Cart version for me please 🙂 -
come to the Retrobörse in Vienna this Saturday (30.11.) - there are quite a few of us Atari users there as well

opening a new topic, as I can't change the title of the old one and it's no longer valid ... some of you may remember, that I offered some of my Atari 2600 Homevision Cartridges up for trade - they are boxed, no manuals, picture below. I am looking mainly for rare Atari 8bit software/hardware, e.g.: Alleycat, Quasimodo (Synapse) The Spy strikes back (Penguin Software) The Abandoned Scrolls (Access) Plundered Hearts (Infocom) Suspended, Starcross Folios (Infocom) most Datamost titles some Datasoft Titles (Lost Tomb, 1200XL boxed 810 Floppy boxed (preferably PAL) as well as some Atari 8bit Homebrews, namely: Line Runner Yoomp! Isora & Loops DX Creativision game: Stone Age rarer Atari Jaguar games Battlesphere, Air Cars Vectrex: 3D Imager+games, Pole Position, Polar Rescue I haven't had much luck looking for any of the titles in a trade, so I might also entertain cash offers, but I would prefer trading ...

UnoCart (a new multi-cart) - orders/pre-orders thread

cased one for me please if they get available again ... -
Hey! I definitely want to be put on the list :-) thanks!

I don't think its the cartridge connector (or the carts - I tried different carts of the same game with same results) take Q-Bert as an example: the game works when I first power on the system, and it's fully playable without problems - once the system runs for a while, I insert different cartridges and re-insert Q-Bert, it wouldn't work properly any more my guess would be some kind of capacitor that is acting strange once it's fully loaded ?

anyone knows if the game with box is still for sale ? the link on the cartridge with manual only version seems to be dead: "If you'd like to purchase a copy of Tempest with a professionally offset printed, high-quality box, you may do so here." https://www.atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=1014

ok - but wouldn't there be a consistent behaviour then ? and not getting worse once the system is running for a few minutes ? On a "cold" system, Q-Bert works perfectly fine - once I play it for a while (or use some other carts and then re-insert Q-Bert again) the errors start to appear ...

I am not sure what you mean - "I now 5200 Pacman which is a 1st party game worked before and after the upgrade." - that's what I would have expected ... or do you mean it did NOT work after the upgrade ?

Hi all ! I have an issue with my recently purchased Atari 5200 4-port (unmodded) with 11 games - about half of the games have issues - either garbled screen, characters showing instead of graphics or incorrect characters appearing on screen - more details below: The following games work flawlessly: Pole Position, Missile Command, Defender, Soccer, Frogger not working: Q-Bert, Pac-Man, Berzerk, Centipede the question is - anyone knows what's different in the games in the lower list ? special memory management that points to a faulty chip? I did rule out that the games are faulty - a collector friend brought his copies of the games and the behaviour is exactly the same .... at least Q-Bert and Berzerk did work immediately after switching on the system - which means that the problem get's worse once the machine is running for a few minutes ... any hints are very appreciated !! Thank you in advance !

I few people requested pictures of the Homevision carts - here you go ... Currently I am not looking to sell them and I also would want to wait for offers of the Super Cassette Vision games I am looking for - however if nothing comes up I might consider trading for some Intellivision, Creativision or Atari 8bit games I am looking for, specifically: Intellivision: Fathom, Triple Challenge, Body Slam, Super Pro Decathlon, Stadium Mud Buggies, Spiker, Slap Shot, Learning Fun I and II, Mountain Madness, Jetsons Way With Words, World Series Major League Baseball, Congo Bongo Atari 8bit: Alley Cat, Quasimodo, Shadow World (Synapse) Up'n'Down (Sega) Whistler's Brothers (Broderbound) Pathfinder (Activision) Rally Speedway (Adventure International) Plundered Hearts, Suspended (Folio) (Infocom) Creativision: Locomotive, Stone Age, Chopper Rescue

I was wondering if someone here has the following Super Cassette Vision cartridges (boxed, preferably complete with manual): Dragonball (Japanese) Pole Position II (Japanese) I do have some boxed Atari 2600 Homevision cartridges for trade ... also some Philips Videopac/Odyssey 2 rarities - or just let me know what you are interested in, I do have lots more stuff for trade EDIT: no longer looking for the french carts - found those and removed them from thread :-)
-
Thing is - he get's money from you for stuff he sends you - that's pretty much why they would ask him to pay taxes on the money then (besides all the checking if he does other selling like that etc.) - that's why I think it's unlikely that someone is willing to go through all the trouble unless you really pay him handsomely - and then you are probably almost as well off on ebay but anyways good luck! if you find someone who is willing to do that kind of thing for a percentage of what the items cost let me know - I am still looking for more stuff myself
-
Chances are you won't find someone to do that ... mainly for 3 reasons: - if you ship something out of Russia, then you have to provide your passport ID etc. - that means unnecessary trouble Russians tend to avoid (hence "no shipping abroad" in many avito announces) - if a Russian citizen receives money from abroad, he has to provide documents what he got the money for before it's credited to his account to avoid money laundering - language barrier - most of the sellers on Avuto don't speak any English I just got back from Moscow and bought a few things of Avito - and it wasn't as easy as I would have wanted it to be (even with a Russian on my side) ... I basically had to travel all over Moscow to collect the stuff and half the time it wasn't even as it was advertised on the pictures on Avito ... so if you don't collect it in person you might be in for disappointment a number of times before you get what you want ...

my Sio2SD died on me yesterday - the error and read lead are constantly blinking and the Atari is not booting from it anymore - anyone an idea what the blinking of the 2 LEDs mean ? unfortunately I also realized yesterday that the LCD display of the Sio2SD does not work anymore - so any troubleshooting has to be done without display ...

updated again - still looking for some games

One more from me - got the games yesterday, great condition, fantastic packing!!
