      Just seen the trailer and the Wikipedia page. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING? Vimes is nothing how I imagined him. More like a thug than a beaten-down cop. Vetinari's a woman? Was Charles Dance too busy? Carrot is too scrawny.

      Yeah...  Carrot too small.  Cheery too big (and no beard).  Angua not right either...  poor casting for quite a bit of it.  Vimes could have been okay, but the costuming and makeup don't sit right with me.  Also, apparently, there's no Fred Colon and Nobby Nobs at all.  It is very loosely based on the books I guess.  The Going Postal series was much better cast... much closer to the books... but I'm guessing Pratchett had more say in that one.

    So I just found out a couple days ago that there was an AtariAge FB group...  I had to find out about it in another group.  I can't believe you didn't tell me.  I thought we were friends!  lol

      A lot of people on the AtariAge Facebook group are oblivious to that the AtariAge forum exists. It is almost like a parallel universe sometimes.

    Got a new computer.  Old one konked out again...  wish I had saved a lot of files off of it.  Will need to see if I can find one of those cables that can connect to a hard drive via USB.

      If it was a desktop then just stick the old hard drive in the new one... if it was a laptop one of those hard drive transfer kits might be of some help.

      That's almost like coffee without Coffee Mate!  I mean sure, you can do without in a pinch,  but hopefully there's a store nearby...Even If I had to go further (since I hate the nearby stores), I'd probably make a quick trip out to get some before continuing...Then again...Tacos!  They say a bad day fishing is still better than a good day working...

    Finally got a set of composite cables for my Jaguar. Sooo much better than the rf. Should’ve done this years ago.

      if you think that's good, you should try S-Video cables if you have a CRT that supports them.

      Actually, I do. Lucked out on a Samsung that has Composite, s-video, and Component inputs. Thought I was getting the s-video but didn’t notice until after they shipped that they were the regular composite. Still, huge improvement.

    Watching a stream on Twitch and they just called the last Blockbuster and asked them what the last movie was that was just rented.  It was Goosebumps 2.

      Just thought it was kinda funny...  talking about rental places and Blockbuster... someone in chat found their number, so they called on stream.  Told them, "Hey we're just trying to figure out what movie to watch and want to know what the last movie was that was rented..."  The guy on the phone could be heard asking someone else if they did the last transaction and what was the movie.  Just kinda fun that they actually did it.

    So, since AA is slightly slower to load, I've made a new game.  I click on the shortcut, then try to make my mouse pointer be in the exact right place to click the "Forum" link before it appears.  I need to start keeping score... a percentage type accuracy thing maybe...

    Someone should make a game featuring little creatures named Norts.  Some kind of platformer/run and gun/puzzle game or something.  Then, as a spin off, make a fighting game featuring the characters and name it NortFight.  I think it'd sell millions.

      I was just annoyed by a thread in which the same person used "would of" or "could of" in about three replies in a row.  lol.   I've always admired CPUWIZ's signature because it's one of my grammar pet peeve's as well.

    Had some trouble with my XBox One controller "double clicking" when pressing left on the d-pad.  This made navigating menus difficult to do quickly and caused some movement issues in games where I use the D-pad (like Tempest 4000).  After looking online, I tried the easiest suggested fix... blowing really hard into the controller by the d-pad.  And... it worked.  Don't know what the deal was... dust in there?  But it seems to be working fine, now.  /shrug

      Just think it's funny... common retro-gamer advice is to never blow into cartridges, and I just fixed something for the newest system I own by blowing in it.  lol

    Got a "new" CRT!  A 21" Samsung.  It's got some issues, though... like volume down on the tv itself doesn't work, but it works on the remote... and volume up on the remote doesn't work, but it works on the tv... lol.  Picture's good, though.

    Never played a Dragon Quest game before, but played about three hours of Dragon Quest V last night (translated ROM).  Named my character "Dumbass".  Made myself laugh several times.  Gotta do that more often...
