Ha! Figured someone would see through my ruse! But seriously, it wouldn't register even with the tip of the phaser on the TV screen on the target. Same problem with light guns for SMS, NES, and Saturn. Turned brightness to 100% (was at about 75%) and starts working perfectly.

I wish there was such a thing as a "new" CRT, but I don't think they're being made anymore.

Well yeah, but wondering if having to crank up the brightness is a sign that mine is going to crap out soon...
