Might be even faster if you turn off mirroring and just output to the big screen.

The GPU is doing double the work when you're driving two screens. It might not be faster than the built-in screen when not attached to the TV.

The 2nd screen does less work then the primary screen. I have it to have this laptop to only use the TV screen when plugged in when using HDMI.

I'm going to fiddle around with it more. Took me a while to figure out a way to let me still use the physical keyboard when in tablet mode. The screen can fold back to use as a tablet, but I wanted to do that just to get it out of the way while I used the keyboard and used the TV as a monitor. Had to disable a driver to allow it to continue to work.
