General Manager came by to say we would have a shop-wide meeting today at 9:45. He said we were going to have it yesterday but he was out. I said, "Is it about absences?" I'm gonna get fired one day...

  Haha! Today's work climate enables people to call in rather frequently with zero consequences. I've worked for such companies. Sucks when everyone else is expected to always be picking up the slack.

  I had a kid call in once that said they had food poisoning earlier in the morning. Couldn't make their evening shift because... and get this... they didn't want to give it to anyone else. sigh LOL!
