  1. Hi everyone! I recently decided to check my childhood Jr and my brother's 4-Switch, which have been damaged for 25 and 35 years respectively. We just decided never to toss them away, just in case. And I'm so glad we didn't! After testing and checking both units, I managed to get my brother's unit working by using my Jr's TIA chip. Got mine working by using his RIOT chip. So I need them both: TIA for his and RIOT for me. I saw that I could get the RIOT's of AliExpress, but I'm a bit apprehensive doing so, considering how ICs can be faked. Also, I can't seem to find a TIA replacement anywhere, probably because it's propietary. Looking for the NTSC versions. Thanks in advance!
  2. GREAT UPDATE! OMG! YAY! The package arrived! I can't do much now since I have to go to work, but I will update everyone later today! Yay!!!!!
  3. Oh wow, THANKS! I feel a bit bad though, but I deeply appreciate it. As a thank you, feel free to kick me in the behind whenever you wish. I apologize about the DP thing, though. That was when I was miffed/confused about everything. I settled everything over there, so no worries. That's actually a good one. I recall when I won a Servbot plush a few years back, the Post Office clerk was adamant that I was prohibited to even insure the items I was going to use as a trade for the plush. Although the games arrived nicely and I got my plush, I later on found out that I could have insured items and even put extra measures to the package. I don't know if one of those was signature related, but I would not be surprised if it was. My guess is that it all depends on the service: like if it was sent International Priority Mail or First Class. According to the USPS, if Paypal had a field with the "urbanization", it would be printed on the shipping label with no issues whatsoever. However, since Paypal does not have this field, and that they limit the address line to just three lines (name, two lines for address), it will cut the address anyway. So Paypal has to upgrade their system to both accept a fourth line (for long or the urbanization portion) AND stop with the automatic editing of addresses to "standardize" them. This issue does not only plague PR though, as any US address that has more than one line will suffer through this as well. With all the millions they make, one would expect Ebay/Paypal to fix this issue...
  4. I have shipped to PR with both problems and non problems. The only problems that I have had is how the adresses get printed on the labels. You really have to verify with the buyer the address. It is a real confusing address system in some cases. And Ebay's shipping calculator is NEVER correct. Oh yes, I have this issue too. Found out it's because of how USPS sets it's address. It omits the "urbanization" part, even though it should not and it's required by USPS. Yet for some reason, when I send items (I'm the sender), it adds the Urbanization without issues. I tried placing it on the second line and together with the first line...it always omits that portion (in my case, it's "Santa Juanita"). I even opted to print it next to my name, but by doing this my address becomes "unconfirmed" for some reason, probably due to my credit card on file (which just has my name). This is why I always send a message through Ebay about adding the "Santa Juanita" part next to the other part of the address on whatever I buy. It's a hassle and I hope one day Paypal/USPS fixes this by letting the "urbanization" go through. Oh, and I hope you get better soon. I was ill for a few weeks thanks to the flu + bronchitis...no fun. You will be better in no time!
  5. Thanks SpaceDice! I assumed since I did not hear from you after sending the last message, that you weren't interested in sending the items (your last message felt as though you did not want to ship the items). I'm glad everything is ok! As in the previous message, if you need a little bit extra cash, feel free to let me know. I'm more than happy to send a few bucks over your way. From the bottom of my heart, THANKS! ^_^
  6. ianoid, it wasn't stated in the auction. Not once did the seller state CONUS or anything similar. In fact, the Ebay shipping calculator reflected shipping for PR without issues. Yet if PR was an issue, why send to Europe? It's still outside CONUS. Makes no sense unless...well, I will keep my theories to myself to see how this transpires.
  7. I meant the other post to be a topic on it's own, but I accidentally posted it as a regular post. I deeply apologize. Hello to everyone here on Atari Age. My name is Josh and although I don't post as often in Atari Age, I desperately need your help. On Ebay my ID is "littlemanboy". I recently won "retrogamingdepot"'s (a.k.a. SpaceDice2010) Colecovision 15 game lot auction. I was really happy as I've been searching for a few of those games for some time, as well as eying it out for some time, thanks to the AA link. In the morning, when I was about to pay, he sends me a "cancellation" request because, as he states "The seller sold the item to another buyer.". This infuriated me, because he was supposed to honor his transaction and not sell to an outside party, as per Ebay rules. I denied/refused his cancellation and sent payment anyway, with a little note about my address, since I live in PR. A note about Puerto Rico: many sellers incorrectly think PR is international when it isn't. I don't know why this is, but PR uses the same methods as in the US, as well as the same pricing. It's all EXACTLY the same! A letter is 44 cents...Priority shipping rates via domestic are the same...it's the same 100%! It's not international...no need for extra fees, etc. So there really is no issue. In fact, my zip code is 00956, and using a Large Flat Rate Priority Mail box: http://postcalc.usps.gov/MailServices.aspx?m=6&p=5&o=0&dz=00956&oz=14008&pob=0&MailingDate=12/14/2010&MailingTime=8:00%20AM As stated in the link, PR is calculated as "Domestic Shipping", and rates are the same as in the US...for a Large Priority Mail box, the cost is just that: $14.50! Why am I stating this? Because yesterday I received a message from the seller, SpaceDice2010/retrogamingdepot) stating that he was apprehensive in shipping to PR because it was not part of the US...that he almost always had issues sending items here, which I found very odd. This is the exact message sent to me from the seller/AA member: "Hi. The main problem that I have with this transaction is that I only ship to the lower 48 states. I was asked to put Canada as an option and I did very reluctantly. I do not ship to APO/FPO, Hawaii, Alaska, or Puerto Rico. Almost every item that I have shipped there has been an issue. Even this transaction is wrong as Ebay's shipping calculator never gives anywhere near the correct shipping amount. There is no way that I can complete this transaction as from past experience I have only had problems shipping outside the 48 states." First thing that irks me is the "48 States" portion, which I talked about above. The second thing that makes me wonder is this: if he was willing to ship to Europe at cost, why not PR? He states that he has had "an issue" with every package sent to PR, which I put in doubt. In this case, I am willing to work with him 100%, even sending MORE money to cover extra costs (I paid for expedited shipping, which was nearly $20, yet I am willing to send MORE for USPS Insurance and Signature Confirmation). I am willing to help out any way I can, he is a bit paranoid about PR, overgeneralizing from his supposed "past experiences". If this is true, I totally understand, but that does not mean every transaction is going to end up in trouble, as many who know me, here and on Digital Press, know. Here is the message I sent as my reply: "Hi. I totally understand, however there is no need to worry as PR is a US territory and shipping is exactly the same as that as in the US. In fact, if you like, I can send you an extra amount for USPS Insurance AND Signature Confirmation as an added layer of protection. It's a classic misconception that many sellers think PR is international when it isn't because it'a categorized as a US territory. In fact, the games can be sent via USPS Large Flat Rate Priority Mail (which is the nearly $20 for "Expedited" for around $15, and I am offering to send a few bucks more for USPS Insurance and Signature Confirmation, even though the $5 that are left over should cover it. With me, that's dandy and perfectly ok, as I am willing to make sure everything turns out perfect. There is no neeed to worry, and I understand that you are scared, but don't worry, as I am here to help out any way I can. Any questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks and take care! -Josh" As of now, I've yet to receive a response from the seller, SpaceDice2010/retrogamingdepot. SpaceDice2010, I am not a bad person. I am here to help out 100% in any way, shape or form. I understand that if you did have issues in the past with non CONUS members, that you shouldn't generalize that every transaction will turn out bad. In this case, it's turning out the wrong way because of your paranoia, as I am willing to do anything to help out. I even offered sending more for USPS Insurance/Signature Confirmation, even though shipping in a Large Flat Rate box will be less than $15, leaving around $5 extra from the original nearly $20 sent for expedited shipping. Shipping amount is more than enough, yet I'm willing to send more, atleast $4 for the services stated previously. SpaceDice2010, as a fellow AA member and video game collector, help me. Fellow AA members, what recourse do I have in this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart, Josh

  9. Hehe, I know I may be bitched about, but I could not believe what I saw until I saw it listed. I understand making a profit, and that's awesome. But to gouge the price like that...well, it will only cause the game to stay listed on Ebay for many years without any "bites", mainly because of the condition of the box. It's funny because there was another person bidding for it (lost, btw). It was another reseller called "masterkanaargames", but lost to the current buyer/seller. I was going to bid, but the box was in nasty shape, so I decided against it. Awesome too, since I found it miles cheaper and minty from a friend a few days later. Still, why not relist the game for 3-4 times more instead of over 10 times more? I would presume a more realistic price of $50 BIN would entice buyers instead of over over $150+. I just hope the seller does not complain and wonder why it hasn't sold...for over a year! Because it's bound to happen, unfortunately.
  10. I have all CIB titles, US only releases. One homebrew, which is Pac Man Collection. Only interested in the US releases, and I am very happy.
  11. On Ebay, a CIB copy of Title Match Pro Wrestling: http://cgi.ebay.com/Title-Match-Pro-Wrestl...1QQcmdZViewItem Decent price? Not considering how much the seller won it for: http://cgi.ebay.com/Alex-Demeos-TITLEMATCH...1QQcmdZViewItem I'm all for selling and making a profit, but at the same time, I understand why many despise resellers. And yes, I know the copy wyatticog is selling is the same one staff6987512 was selling. How do I know? Because I had contacted staff6987512 and asked him for pictures while the listing was still active! These were the pics: Hmm... Could it be a coincidence? Again, I am all for reselling. But now I understand why many hate it. To see it won at a decent price, then to see it again sold over ten times more...it does make me cringe a bit.
  12. BUMP! Some games sold and taken off the list. Some pending games are now available. Prices also reduced! Also, I was recommended to offer First Class Mail shipping as an option. So shipping First Class will be $3.50 for the first item and $1.50 each additional item. Thanks for looking!
  13. Bumpy! Some items are on hold! Those in red are those currently on hold for other members. All other items remain. Thanks for looking!
  14. BUMP Placed descriptions on the games labeled as "MAKE OFFER". Made a few changes here and there. Thanks for looking.
  15. Since I am TRYING to clean my room (for like the 100th time... ), I am trying to get rid off a few items that are taking up space. Most games are complete, unless otherwise noted. You can verify the condition of the game by clicking on the corresponding link. However, if you would like to ask questions about it, or ask for a better picture or more detailed description, I will gladly help out. The items pictured are the same ones being sold. The pictures are very clear, but feel free to ask any questions regarding them. You will also notice that certain games have the words *MAKE OFFER* next to them. I was going to put a price on them, but for the time being, make me an offer. Please, no super low offers, as they will not even be considered or replied to. Shipping is not included in the price, unfortunately. However, shipping will be... For the first item: $3.50 for First Class Mail (in bubble envelope or small box) $4.80 for Priority Mail (in box) Each additional item is $1.50 no matter which service is used. Items will be mailed out on Wednesday, though I may be able to get items out earlier depending on my work schedule. No worries, since I will be in constant communication to let you know everything is detail! Feel free to contact me regarding any questions you may have.
