Indeed. I was like...how did my comment get in this thread? Some kind of forum bug? lol!

I see two on Ebay. This one is $135 with free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Towers-II-2-Plight-of-the-Stargazer-Atari-Jaguar-New-Telegames-Limited-Edit-/190936858224?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item2c74b93e70 And this one is $115 with free shipping (and it says there are more then 10 available. Reading further down, it mentions these are from a "Brand new current production from Telegames UK Received from Telegames Sep 2013" and also mentions a thread here: The cartridge itself never changed. See thread on Atariage about Telegames "Limited Edition". http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/209512-i-just-got-a-new-copy-of-towers-ii/ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Towers-II-Plight-of-the-Stargazer-Atari-Jaguar-Cart-New-Telegames-Limited-Edit-/131023027523?pt=US_Vintage_Computers_Mainframes&hash=item1e8194bd43

I want to be able to access files from my Microserver (with the emulator). When that happens, I might actually blow the dust off. The last I heard, you needed to install some untested kernel in order to accomplish that.

Witcher 2 got pretty good reviews. It's on Amazon for 19.99. I haven't played it myself, but here is a link to howtobeat.com for it: http://www.howlongtobeat.com/game.php?id=10268

Should get new NIC tomorrow and can finally have my new Microserver up and running. Woot Woot!

So I've been wanting to run speaker wire under the carpet as well as try to run cat5 cable at least from upstairs to the living room downstairs. I've always been afraid of messing up the carpet, the walls or both. I suppose I still am, but I was just watching some youtube videos of magnapull....makes me say hmmmm....
-
How much is magnapull? I've always just used a fishtape. If you only plan on using it a time or two, you can get a cheap one for $10.
-
Over 100 bucks. It just looked way easier then fishtape. Then again, I know very little about either nor do I know what all I'd run into when trying to come "across" the room.

There is, I believe, a typo on the "How It Works" page: "Right now, you need a minimum of 10 votes before your score will be accepted, and you will need at least 7000 percent of those votes to be "Yes"" My guess is it should read that you need at least 70 percent, not 7000.

Not my auction....but is this the C64 plug-and-play? They look the same: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FCommodore-64-Plug-N-Play-Mammoth-Toys-C64-30-Games-In-One-TV-GAME-and-%2F221266347544%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games%26hash%3Ditem3384808618 -
Hmm...looks like Best Buy has the console and walking dead combo for $199 or the console and one year PS+ for 239.98. The 199 one looks kind of tempting!

Maybe you can ask him here.... http://atariage.com/forums/topic/199414-atari-7800-tank-command-on-ebay/

Popped in Road To The Show today to make sure the new 1 gig drive was working as expected. I came in having won my previous game going the distance and striking out 15 while walking none and only giving up one run. Gave up a two-run homer in the 4th. Was trailing 2 - 1 in the 7th and had struck out 9 with only 67 pitches when I gave up a single and my manager pulled me. What! The guy he brought in had a 5+ ERA. He promptly allowed 5 runs (including the guy who was my responsibility) which resoluted in us losing 7 - 3...my first professional loss. Maybe this new drive ISN'T working right!

PSP 3000 still in stores? Should I get one?
Cap5750 replied to Rev's topic in Modern Console Discussion
I picked up a PSP 1000 and two games (a burnout game and and an arcade compilation with pac-man and a few others on it) for about 50 bucks or so a couple of months ago. I also picked up Patapon and Con at 5 below for...well 5 bucks. -
What's the cheapest you've ever bought a game for?
Cap5750 replied to Ross PK's topic in Modern Console Discussion
Does free not count? -
Stopped by Five and Below on the way home from work to see if they had anything different on the shelf for the Wii, PS2, PSP, or DS. Nope...same games they had a couple of weeks ago. Wait a minute...I'm looking in the wrong place. I'm looking ON the shelf. UNDER the shelf on the floor amidst much dust is a copy of Shadow of The Colossus for the PS2. Yay me for looking in the obscure place!

Modern Day Macintosh SE Conversion
Cap5750 replied to DaytonaUSA's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
Is it really strange that I just read this topic last night and then today a co-worker asks me a question about a Mac SE conversion that his son is working on? -
I just received an e-mail that the mailman put The Last of Us and Deadly Premonition in my mailbox. I guess I should walk down there.

Finished it up this past weekend. What a terrific game! I really enjoyed it. Not only that, of the near 100 PS3 games I currently own, it is the first that I have completely finished. If you liked reading "Choose Your Own Adventure" or if you enjoyed some of the classic point-and-click adventure games, you should definitely give this game a shot. I'm now tempted to pick up a couple of Telltale Games' other games. In particular, Back To The Future looked cool. Prices and availability seem all over the place on it though. Not the easily available 20 bucks that The Walking Dead was. Maybe, I should play through one of the other games in the meantime.

The Official "Thrift finds" Thread
Cap5750 replied to Happy_Dude's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Not exactly a thrift find and I haven't exactly recevied anything yet, but I think it still fits in anyway. So I was talking to a co-worker last night. She was telling me that she needed to leave early to get set up for a community yard sale. I mentioned that those are great places to find video games and other neat electronics if you want to get up early enough and if you want to go to a bunch of them. She said "Video game? We have those one things (makes a motion that looks like she had a joystick or something). What are they called?" I asked her if she meant the joystick that you plug into the TV. "No..no...the thing with the little screen and you plug games into it" Gameboy? "Yeah...I think so. We don't use them anymore. If we find them, I can maybe just give it to you". Yay!!! She went on to tell me they just threw away a Wii. I told her not to tell me that and then explained if she had stuff like that she needed to tell me and I'd probably take it. She said they still had some games she thought and that I could have them, but they were "dirty" because they've been in the basement collecting dust. Uhm...for free, I can wipe them off with a rag. So I'm hoping that on Monday she brings a box of goodies!!! -

Haven't tried this, but might be worth a look: http://www.dukematches.net/ -
Just finished episode one of The Walking Dead. While it really doesn't feel like a video game, it was actually pretty fun. Pros: Very well written. Well-timed music also assisted in setting the proper mood. Reminds me of the old choose-your own adventure books. Cons: Seemed to be a ton of loading going on. Towards the end of the episode, I noticed considerable lag and the voices were sometimes out of sync with the lips. All-in-all...a blast. Can't wait to "play" the other four episodes. Definately worth the 19.99.

There was never much that the 128 could do that I was impressed with...or maybe better said...wanted or needed. I recently dug out my C64 stuff. In a short time, two drives were dead and a memory chip was bad. Rather then try to fix it, I just picked up a "new" one that had JiffyDOS already installed as well. And then for Christmas, I added the 1541 Ultimate II.

If it's not the power supply, it could be one of the ICs. This can help track down which one if you're into that sort of thing: http://personalpages.tds.net/~rcarlsen/cbm/c64/c64-ic.txt
