I'm more of a console Collector than a PC collector so hopefully this can go to someone else's collection.

Got this a few years ago, I need to get rid of all my old school stuff so I have to part with this lil guy.

Hello, I haven't been on the boards in forever, I used to have an obsession with buying any and all gaming related things on craigslist....now sadly I don't have the time or room for that kind of awesomeness. I am selling off some of these items on Ebay. Check them out here:
Sinnbox's Auctions: eBay Seller: jdgameman
Sorry about having all kinds of stuff listed. There are several atari items listed in the mess, mostly CIB. let me know if i should adjust the prices on anything.
Thanks,
Joel.

I agree it is a stupid rule, but I know that some game stores have problems with tons people ordering games and then changing their minds, then the store is stuck with more games than they know what to do with. That combined with how fast the price drops on games these days makes for loss of profit.
I quit shopping at Gamestop years ago when I realized how crappy their TIV's are, but Have recently started going back to pick up cheap used games. One local store actual has some awesome workers that really stand out compared to all other GS workers.
For the person that was upset that GS is getting out of Xbox compared to GC, I have to say that I loved my Xbox to death, but not many games had replay value, I have not touched many of My old Xbox games lately, but my old GC games still get alot of play in my Wii.
and for the guy that said that the guy from Acts of Gord should run a chain....I was talking to a guy that went to his store. He said that Gord was a huge douche, and that 90% of his stories are pure BS.

Hi all I have several Atari games posted over at www.chasethechuckwagon.com/sites/gameshack, I even have 3 sealed Atari 400/800 games!! one of them is the hard to find Game MULE!! Bidding is already up to $41!! The other sealed games are Jumpman, and Championship Loderunner, starting bid on them is 39.99, but I take offers, thanks for looking and have a great day!!
-
Tell them you're really not sure what to offer, and ask what they want for it. I got a lot off CL a couple weeks ago (they replied to my ad, it wasn't posted) with an Atari 800 and several boxes of stuff to go with it. I asked what he wanted, he said $50, and when I went to pick it up, it turned out there was a lot more than he had said. Including a CIB Zork Trilogy with all the stuff including the Zorkmid which is worth well over $100 alone, and a CIB Hitchhiker's Guide. I would have never thought to offer him as low as $50, but he was thrilled to get rid of the stuff (I think his wife was more thrilled), and we had a good conversation also (he was the original owner). The point: try to get him to tell you how much he wants. It may be far lower than you would offer.
He is wanting "a few hundred for the lot, I think I may start out offering $80-$120 depending on condition of the items, and working from there.
-
If I was you I never would have posted this on here. Someone else is liking going to see this post and offer more than you will.As far as the price is concerned you should just contact the person. I don't deal with people on Craigslist but my experience in the past with other sellers is that sometimes they just want the stuff out of their houes when selling this much stuff. You might be able to get it cheap if you hurry.
I'm not worried, This person E-mailed me, responding to my asking for old Nintendos.
-
I found this lot on Craigslist, how much would you recomend I give the guy. Thanks.
I have 7 ATARI 800's, 3 ATARI 410 program recorders, 1 ATARI 810 disk drive, ATARI 1030 modem, with many games disk and cartridge.
I have an ATARI 520 ST with SC 1224 monitor, SF 354 disk drive, and 1020 color printer.
I have an INTELLIVISION with more than 25 games.
I have an ATARI 5200 with missile command, super breakout, space invaders, and galaxian games.
I have a COLECO VISION with the expansion module #2 also with Donkey Kong, Venture, Zaxxon, Carnival, and Cosmic Avenger games.
Many are in original boxes and have the manuals too.
Don't know if all would work now, but most did when I put them on the shelf in the basement as I continued to upgade to better systems.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Wow, I didn't take time to read this whole thread, but I find 2600 stuff in the wild all the time. just this year I have scored over 300 games from various garage sales. I find quite a few at Flea Markets, but most of them are grossly over priced. I usualy only find a few lots at Garage sales each year, but every time i do they are huge hauls...like 100-200 games. I think that at the end of the 2600 age most of the games ended up in garage sales and the buyers ended up with huge collections with multiple copies of games, and now those collectors are selling them off at garage sales. I admit that alot of the collections I find have multiple copies of stuff like Combat and Missle Command, but I find a lot of R5's-R8's in each box.
P.S. I have alot harder time finding Saturn, and Sega Master System games around here.
-
ya, I have noticed the same thing, I sold a mint copy of Rubik's Cube with a manual this summer for $30, I was happy to get rid of it, I made $25 on the transaction and the buyer was happy to get a cheap game so we were both happy in the end. Some of the big EBay sellers act like it will kill them to give a deal, when they are asking %100 over true market price.
-
Dude, sending someone Cat piss is not cool. I'm not sure if he will do anything to help you, but I would complain to Ebay about him sending you potentially hazardous materials.
P.S. have you checked out www.Chasethechuckwagon.com yet?
-
those are some pretty common carts, I'm interested but cash is tight, PM me if you can go lower.
-
I also have several hundred 2600 games that havent been listed yet, if you are looking for anything special let me know, I'm not a collector when it comes to atari, but I come across tons of carts in my quest to find the stuff I do collect, and usualy I buy them If i have the cash on me.
-
Hi all, I have around 10 2600 compatible machines(2600, coleco, telegames, ect...) most of them worked last tiem i checked, but none of them have power packs, does anyone know where I can buy some? thanks.
-

I am also running a deal that If you purchase 10 or more 2600 games on the same invoice I will give you 25% off(2600 games only.)2600 games also ship combined for $1($4 for the first item)!!
-

P.S. I have like 10 working 2600 style machines(AKA 2600's, Coleco's, telegames, ect...) but no power plugs. does anyone know where I can get soem cheap? THANKS!!
-
wow, that's crazy, looks like I'm gonna have to do some fixing. DARN!!

Ya, Ebay has messed with us all, I dont see why some sellers put up with it, I knwo there are alot of sellers that add links to CTCW,and GameGavel in their messages to buyers, hopefully we will bet some good buyers on the alt sites soon. I'm just waiting to see If Ebay blocks CTCW/GG users from using Paypal since they own it!!
-
Hi all, I just listed abunch of games at CTCW, check em' out: http://www.chasethechuckwagon.com/sites/gameshack

People don't realize that you may not be helping to situation at all by telling the seller how much something is worth. In this situation, just the opposite has happened. Sellers break rules and ebay looks the other way. Ebay only cares about money, plain and simple.I live in Berne, IN. Our local shops are:
EDJE Video Bluffton: all 2600 games $0.25 apiece!! Great deal, He marks some higher, but has no idea what they are worth so the ones marked high are usualy commons and you can get rares for $0.25
EDJE Video Berne: This store is run by a lady that dosent know much about atari(or much else). Game prices are usualy based off the highest BIN on Ebay(I have no clue how she keeps in business).
The Book Nook(Decatur, IN) The current owners of this store just purchased it from the owner of EDJE, it had fallen into disorganization and chaos in the last few years. They now take in all games for all systems, and have a few 2600's some even CIB, but the selection is mostly super commons, and they havent had time to change pricing on them. I love this store because it is ran as a hobby by several gamers, and game prices are usualy abotu 10%-20% below curent market price. and they give better trade then most other local places.
SQ Video Trader: Another split from EDJE Video(The owner of EDJE started all local places then slod them when he gets close ot going under) The curent oners know nothing about games, IT is a good place to get new stuff, but Atari stuff is hard to find.
I mainly get my Atari stuff at garage sales, I find tons of great deals, I usualy give $5-$10 for a box of 50-100 games. Most of the time there are 20=copies of Combat and 10 pac-Mans per tub, but gems show up often, my latest claim to fame is a Menacer cart.
P.S. I sell some Atari stuff under the username Game Shack at GameGavel.com, Check out my store, I will be listing more soon. Several people from Atari Age have made purchases and that brought me here. Thanks Guys!!

What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?

I've got a few things listed that have been laying around my house. I'm not really a PC collector, more of a console base collector. hopefully this stuff will be useful to someone.
