  1. I'm sorry, I think I misunderstood - I was presuming you were talking about using Bally Controllers with the Astrodaptor rather than getting the Intellivision Controller to work in the Astrocade emulator; I havent attempted that, I just use my Intv Controllers (UPCI) for Intelllivision (JZTINV).
  2. I had no luck when I tried to get lr-mess to run Astrocade or Channel-F but IntvDave's AdvMess from his site works perfect with the paddles. To get them to work I had to change a line in advmess.rc line - the "input_map[p1_paddlex] joystick(JOY,CONTROL,AXE)" line just needed the correct values that I couldn't seem to get at through the mess gui. I used the advj utility to find out how ADVMESS was seeing the Bally Astrodaptor/Controller. Once that was set, the paddle worked fine. I had to use the mess gui to reverse the paddle direction in games though. This is the site that helped crack this for me: http://www.advancemame.it/doc-advmame
  3. Al - will there be a formal annoucement of some kind and/or front page post on the site that you've acquired the Jaguar molds? Perhaps I've overlooked a post/announcement elsewhere? Whatever the case, this sounds like great news and shows that there is indeed a golden lining to every story.
  4. Though it wont be tonight, to remove the only 'semi-non-standard' variable in my setup, as soon as I am able I will take my Jag to another room and connect it the 'old-fashioned-way' to a CRT with the coax cable output (no switchbox though, just rca cable with F connector). Right now Jag video output is via a homebrew-3rd party cable with s-video+L/R to a Composite/Component Switchbox that is connected to a 27 inch LCD. I'd hate to have my 'issue' not have been '%100 completely seen through troubleshooting' on my part
  5. The new 'hi-res' test rom does not work on my K series Jaguar (2 splash screens then just a black screen). The other, 4-2 'current test rom' works fine for me
  6. Will there be any more builds before the arrival of the new batch of carts? Just curious. Thanks again for an awesome offering! :-)
  7. If you are using windows 10 you will need to disable Driver Signature Enforcement before you can install the drivers. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/insider/forum/insider_wintp-insider_devices/how-do-i-disable-driver-signature-enforcement-win/a53ec7ca-bdd3-4f39-a3af-3bd92336d248?auth=1 Please make sure you understand the implications of this before proceeding.
  8. The new ROM just posted works for me now as well. Thanks! Just out of curiosity, what would have caused the other version not to work on the SV skunk?
  9. Just curious if anyone has successfully flashed (and run) either ROM to Silly Venture Skunkboard. My flash seems to go ok but when trying to run, I still only get the two Splash screens before it goes to a blank/black screen and nothing else (I never hear music either - not sure at what point that kicks in).
  10. Here are a couple Channel F links - not quite the same material but still interesting: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/fairchild-channel-f-101-a-beginners-guide http://veswiki.com/index.php?title=Main_Page http://www.fndcollectables.com/CHANNEL_F_INFO/channel_f_info.html
  11. Thanks for quoting my issue - my Jag is an unmodified near launch model. I've tried a few more times to flash but have had no luck.
  12. I've posted this link of Boxpressed's article elsewhere, but it should probably be pinned somewhere in this sub-forum: http://retroauction.com/buying-and-selling-an-astrocade/
  13. Thanks for making this available! When you need/want $$ just say the word! For the Rom in the OP on 3/28/2016 , I have tried to run this with my Silly Skunk and Model 'K' Jag and the jcp -f <name> flash appears to work fine, but when the game loads, I get the initial 'splash screen' for a moment before it goes to the 'Rebooteroids - Copyright' screen; pressing B (or waiting) goes to just a black screen and nothing else occurs. I appear to be able to flash other files without issue. Any suggestions on what I shoiuld try next? I have tried both a rotary controller plugged in (rotary on the back of the controller type) and a regular unmodified controller. I have removed the JagCD from the mix and plugged the skunk into the Jag Cart port. I tried flashing it to each of the Skunk banks to no avail and then tested the Joust ROM which worked fine. Any thoughts/ideas what I should try next?
  14. Awesome! Looking forward to the PM.
  15. Cant recall if I explicitly asked to be on the list although I have expressed interested since seeing the first pics of it last year. So, just in case - I definitely would like to be on the list. Thanks!
  16. Took me a little while to get that one and even then I had to settle for no manual. I check every now and again for another copy with a manual but havent seen any copies of it for a while.
  17. I did exactly the same and received a shipping tracking very shortly after my order. Unfortunately, there have been no updates to my tracking number since the 'pre-shipping' info posted on 2/27.
  18. As far as I know, MESS (which is now combined with MAME) is the only one that will do Astrocade emulation.
  19. Spare pair of controllers ordered! Thanks for making them available!
  20. I've loved my MultiCart and especially War since getting the 2.0 version. Easily one of the best games on the system. For anyone doing the Astrocade under emulation (and you happen to have a set of Bally Controllers and like them), I'd recommend getting the Astrodaptor USB adaptors. They work under windows and under a RetroPie setup on an RPi. I've had to move my Astrocade console upstairs but the RPi setup allows me to continue to enjoy the Astrocade in the living room with a much smaller footprint.
  21. IntvDave here is the real one to thank; he made the files available. One can also run Fairchild Channel F on a Raspberry Pi as well. For me, these were the last two systems I really wanted to get up and running within RetroPie so that I could move my systems out of the living room (making wife happy).
