  1. Will the latest jzintv (for rpi) ever get a public release?
  2. I received my shirt a couple of days ago very nice - a huge thank you for making them free!! Looking forward to the upcoming session!
  3. Perhaps the adapters will be flashable/updateable to account for core inaccuracies as they arise?
  4. Although I own a number of older systems (O2/AstroCade/Channel F, etc) the reality is that these systems probably wont last forever. Having modern hardware that is capable of accepting the original cartridges via a system specific cartridge adapter does have an appeal to me (in addition to the other capabilities of the system). If it will allow use of the original controllers, that will be even better. If this all comes to pass, I can see myself having one of these to keep in the living room next to me on the sofa hooked up to my separate 'gaming tv' instead of the incredible clutter brought by having all of the individual retro consoles set up which I have currently (a spot that my wife, thankfully ignores/overlooks). The 'real things' could then be sent to a different room to be appropriately displayed/setup. Depending on the adapters available at launch, I may very well make this my first kickstarter backing.
  5. Ignoring the price point for the moment, I would find it interesting if in addition to the Fairchild controllers, the Astrocade controllers were supported as well and then some means provided at some point for emulating both of these systems through this. I know there are adaptors (at least for the Astrocade) that can be used with a PC but I do get the appeal of a non-PC based solution for emulation. While I have originals of both of these systems (x2), I know that some random day in the future they are just not going to work anymore. Now, back to reality .... I really hope some more features (or confirmed games/projects for this) are revealed soon that will help encourage paying the price.
  6. Not too long ago someone posted a Toys R Us ad for an upcoming Atari Flashback 6 I believe. There was a brief discussion about what version of Space Invaders would be on it.
  7. Try replying (and quoting) to one of his posts in this thread. He may get a notification at his external email that a post of his has been quoted.
  8. Pics show it on a cart. Perhaps that's how we'll see it.
  9. Is Xevious for the Jaguar a release we may see anytime soon?
  10. #82 - Arrived today, Scarborough, ME USA. Looks great!
  11. Checkmate is also one of the built in games for the Astrocade and it is in color; my daughter frequently asks to see it.
  12. http://ataribook.com/book/ Most likely almost everything you'll want to know about the history of Atari will probbaly end up in this series. The first of 3 planned books is already out and is a great read.
  13. Received my copy here in Scarborough, ME today. Production looks top notch, thanks!

    Space Rocks

Space Rocks with the Starplex controller is awesome!
  15. Xevious on the Jag? Did I see that correctly? Is this a 'soon to be released' game or just a demo? I cant recall seeing this before.
  16. I can get engrossed with Conway's Game of Life for hours. I always wondered whether any of the consoles would have a version and I have tried the Xbox 360 version. However, I mainly use Golly on PC and on iPad to get my GoL fix. http://golly.sourceforge.net
  17. Should be able to download without an account. May have to just wait out and/or cancel away from that (I absolutely agree) annoying 'sign up for an account' business.
  18. Did you double check your spam/junk email folder? That's where I found my email.
  19. I admit to spending countless hours with Pink FLoyd albums and the VLM. Somewhere in some lost storage, I still have a VHS tape of a VLM choreographed recording for Dark SIde of the Moon that I spent a lot of time on deciding what pattterns to trigger at what points in the album.
  20. DItto this! Additionally, why did they make the various video out cable plugs right angled such they run horizontaly along the frame of the PSP rather than just sticking straight out? For me, this is a real nuisance.
  21. Well, as I was too focused on reading the content and focused primarily on the centers of the pages during my first look through, I didn't notice that, similar to others, the tops of a large number of pages have text that is of varying degrees of 'slightly being cropped'. It gets progressively worse as one goes from the beginning to the end of the book. What is also of interest is that on such pages, on the flip side of the page, the text is not identically cropped; i.e. it is though in the layout, the pages were not perfectly centered back to back with one another. While it's kind of too bad that this is the case, I doubt I will bother with a return uless there is an announcement of some kind of recall/replacement. I still love this book!
