  1. http://www.videogameconsolelibrary.com/index.html Gamasutra has a nice series also but I couldnt find an index. Here is the 2600 page -http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/131956/a_history_of_gaming_platforms_.php http://phisionlabs.com/vgf11/
  2. If those are for Space Rocks, I'm fairly certain I see my name on one them already! :-) Wish I lived in 'that' Portland for the show instead of (near) this other one on the opposite side of the country (in ME).
  3. I picked up one of these on the cheap too. It is nice for what it is (@$10), it is just a shame that it doesnt work with Pinball Arcade. It has crossed my mind to get another one and an icade 8-bitty or core and try to put the icade innards into the duo controller.
  4. Implied warranty - http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Implied+Warranty Question - is the use of the Skunkboard 'ordinary use' of the Jaguar? Seems that perhaps the implied warranty extends only to the Jaguar and the Jag CD. The power duo would appear to conform to those standards required by the Jag/JadCD and are at least as good as the original power supplies and is 'fit' for the 'ordinary use' of the Jag/JagCD. Just going by what has been written, it seems like it may be the Skunkboards (at least 1 & 2) that were not quite tolerant enough for something such as the PowerDuo and as the Skunkboard seems to add a functionality outside the ordinary use of the Jag/JagCD, it may not be covered by an implied warranty of merchantability. Whether or not there is an implied warranty of fitness may be another question, a bit tougher to sort out. However, (again going by what has been written) it seems as though the seller is doing their best to sort out the issue privately and make things right. Just something to think about.
  5. Forgot to post to this way earlier but shortly after this thread came up, I found the black version of the Tomy Atomic Arcade pinball for $2.99 at a Goodwill. I was able to test it first (not believing the price) and the only shortcoming to it was the fact that the top right bumper only works about 50% of the time. For 2.99, I couldnt pass it up. Since then, I've been trying to get in on one of the American Pinball models on eBay but they always seem to creep up above a price I'm willing to pay. There's one of the Coca Cola models up now but the included shipping has already pushed it to near $190 with a day and a half to go.
  6. Everything looking great so far for me. Especially fun using a Starplex controller. Although it's been 30 years since I was able to pull off the corener to corner method for playing forever on this game, and I havent been able to get in the groove with it in tis version becuase my technique is so out of date, the old 'bounce off the ring (left to right or top and bottom) back and forth across the screen' method seems to work for a while until the mines get aggressive enough so the method wont work any more. This seems to play so much like I remember playing the arcade version, it's incredible to think 'this is the 2600! I can see the mines and my shots just fine on the screen. Awesome work!
  7. Are there any updates in the pipeline for the app? New games, tweaks, etc?
  8. Try PM'ing Jeff Vav (http://atariage.com/forums/user/4553-jeffvav/) from Code Mystics - he's been around here before and may have a suggestion.
  9. I had never seen or heard of this before this weekend. Picked it up at a flea market for $30. Joysticks look brand new new so figured it was worth it.
  10. That is the correct ID. I have recently (last 10 days or so) picked up a couple of his power supplies. They work perfectly.

    Vectrex?

Not very compatible with iCade mobile either but it seems to work decently with the 8-Bitty.

    Vectrex?

There is a good iOS emulator for it as well which works nicely with an iCade.

    Vectrex?

I think it means that electric 'buzz' from the monitor as well. Some people may find it annoying but I kinda like it.

  15. I'm going to pass the blame on to Joystiq; I was only quoting the title of their article. Whenever I read something about 'Atari', I'm never really sure to what is being referred. Still don't have the whole 'which Atari is which' straight in my head. lol! :-)

  18. I just picked up a Starplex off ebay for $16. How'd you make that decal? Looks great!
  19. Feeling fortunate to have found this. Only hours after my 800XL gave out and I was in a panic over not having an Atari 8Bit computer around, I can rest easy again now knowing the smalll Atari void will shortly be filled. Thanks again!
  20. Gridrunner is one of my favorite games on the ipad/iphone, especially using any of the icade products for controls.
  21. I dont quite understand what this is but it looks interesting - http://www.fpgaarcade.com/bally_main.htm
