Probably not unexpectedly, here is what both of the above posted ATRs look like when loaded up onto my 800xl via my SIO2SD. Is there a separate max flash atr I should have loaded along side?

Awesome!!! How soon will this be available? Will there be a 'bundle' to get the AtariMax Flash Programmer or does that need to be purchased separately? -

Congrats on the score! Awesome that you were able to pick one up for a reasonable price from Ken. He hooked me up earlier this year with a working Astrocade as well. Very good person to deal with. Have you asked him about his multi-cart and memory expansion? The multi cart is awesome and I am waiting the arrival of the memory expansion. To help keep mine nice and cool, I have a nice, large laptop fan/cooler that I keep the Astrocade on and always use whenever I fire the console up.

There are a few on eBay right now, but they are pricey: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2FVideo-Game-Consoles-%2F139971%2Fi.html%3F_from%3DR40%26_nkw%3Dastrocade

Making The ultimate videogame book
mckafka99 replied to xDragonWarrior's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I grabbed a copy of the updated version of this book and think it's quite good. I was a little surprised to find, though, that the Bally Astrocade barely got a mention (about 8 lines) in the back of the book - I would have expected it deserved at least a full page like a lot of the other obscure systems in this book. Also conspicuously absent are any of the Coleco Telstar systems, especially the Arcade (with its' 4 triangle shaped carts) and the Combat console. -
I'd like in on a copy in the next batch. Thanks!

If this indeed turns out to be an Intellivision multicart, I am definitely in for one! :-)

FS: Fairchild System (Channel F) Multi-Cart, pre-order now.

Received my cart today - nothing short of awesome! Who knew this console could play gems like Pac Man and Tetris? Very nice addition to the 14 carts or so I've picked up since I 1st got a console. Some the games on this cart, I've never seen on ebay or elsewhere. This is definitely a must have for the Channel F. Thanks for the awesome cart! -
Probably everything you might want to know about the Astrocade can be found on the following: http://www.ballyalley.com/ http://retroauction.com/buying-and-selling-an-astrocade/ If you can get a good working unit and a arrange a means to keep it safe and cool (I keep mine on top of a laptop fan when in use), there are some fun games for it.

Super props to the The.Golden.Ax for the excellent work on getting the AtarVox+ out and into our hands so quickly! Most excellent!

It's high time I gave an extra special thank you to the awesome work that Fauxscot has been doing. In addition to all of the great info given here and the work on the hopefully forth coming multi cart for the SII, he has rescued 2 of my units from the graveyard of consoles for me. Earlier in this thread I talked about all the bad luck I had getting these off ebay. I bought 3 in a row - all lemons. However thanks to Fauxscot's great work, all the money I spent on them has not gone to waste; I now have 2 perfectly working consoles and hopefully that 3rd unit (which has been donated permanently to all causes SII) is proving of some worth as development on the multicart continues. So, again, I cant say thanks enough for the awesome work Fauxscot! After ~36 years of waiting (I first saw the SII in a TV guide ad), I am finally able to use an SII.

Does anyone have a pdf of this manual? I am sure it must be out there somewhere but my search skills are failing me at the moment. Thanks

Definitely interested in one if/when this comes to pass.

3DS: Is Luigi's Mansion a system seller?
mckafka99 replied to Algus's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The only thing I dislike about LM2 is the save system - have to complete a level to get a save. I've never been much of a Nintendo fan, but I am finding myself enjoying this and other titles (StarFox 3D, Ocarina of time, Harvest Moon-A New Beginning, Mario Kart) WITH the 3D effects. I only just recently got into this, getting the 3DSXL when Target had them on sale for 159. Picked up LM2 and the new Pokemon (which I haven't played yet) because of the 'get a free game deal' with purchase of each one of those games. Seemed like a good time to give this system a whirl and so far, I haven't regretted it (plus I can now share the experience with my 7 year old who has her own) -
Nor sure if I'm too late, but I've PM'd my interest and info.

I'm a lurker here while I ty to understand the options but if I understand there may be an easy option/mod to replace/improve the Lynx display, I'm in.
