If anyone ever finds a fix for screen rot, I'd love to know about it. On the other hand, shaky pots can be treated with just a tiny bit of Isopropyl Alcohol in the tiny hole on top of the pot followed by a minute or so of rotating back and forth (at least thats what worked for me). Also, if you have a malfunctioning keypad, and happen to have a spare keypad, they can be swapped out fairly easily as well - there's a a clip wih 4 prongs going through the board holding the keypad contacts to the board wich can be pried up to remove the clip, replace one keypad with another and then clip put back on - just make sure to take note of how the keypad contacts line up when removing it oso as to put the repacement pad on correctly. Also, be careful of the traces on the keypad, they are thin and can be scratched easily. I just did both of these last night to a 'screen working / bad control / non-working keypad' unit and now it works perfectly.

Thanks to Matthias for sending an updated version of Impulse X to correct a bug.
Ditto on this. I was pleasantly suprised to find this at my door yesterday.I was going to post something about this also. If only other software makers saw to it to provide such a service.

This may be of some interest to iOS calssic gamers - get it while you can. Jailbreaking NOT necessary.

I just got my console back and all I can say is that everyone who owns a Colecovision owes it to their console to let Yurkie transform a good system into a completely awesome system. As has been said many times before and elsewhere, Yurkievision Rules!

What helps maintain some of that nostalgia for me is that rather than being limited in money (quarters), now I am limited by time (sometimes only 5-10 minutes.) available to play; so even though I may have endless free plays, I dont have the time for it to get boring and taken for granted.

Stocks are suspended. Plus if you bought now and Atari goes bust you will lose everything. If someone buys Atari as a going concern you would more than likely find your investment becomes almost worthless.
You beat me to my edit of my question, as I just learned this (http://www.4-traders.com/ATARI-2168735/news/ATARI-S-A-and-its-U-S-entities-coordinate-to-request-filings-for-Book-6-procedures-in-France-and-15890423/) LOL!.
If at all possible, I'll contribute what I can just for the sake of seeing this property get into the right hands.

I am sure this is going to sound rather silly, but would there be any value or help to the 'future' Atari in buying Atari SA stock now (currently at about $1.15 a share)?

Received my YurkieVision today. Absolutely awesome! The best thing that could happen to any ColecoVision!

I have one running RaspBMC (http://www.raspbmc.com/). I havent used it in a while, but it runs great. I purchased the codec licenses available for it (they are cheap) and had no issues straming local content from my NAS and even had a PlayOn! server running on a seperate windows box in the house and was able to stream Netflix through it to my Pi with no issues.

Rayman CIB just went for $109.50 + $4 shipping. $60+ seems not uncommon for Rayman.I feel lucky as I piece-mealed a CIB copy (game+manual+new box + new insert) for $70.
Whether it is worth it or not I suppose is a matter of taste. For me it was, especially to hear my 6 year old daughter squeal with delight during the opening sequence. It really is a sharp game on the Jag.

He probably never answered your message because you were nagging him only a few days after the auction ended,I would not have messaged the guy until about 7 working days after you paid if I had not received the item by then.
I'm not sure I could ever part with close to $100 and have no feedback on shipping for 7 days (remember the auction said 2 days handling), $25-$30 maybe -but not this much. Plus i really only wanted to know so that a temperature sensitive piece of electronics wouldnt get left outside in the cold for 5 days.
Thanks again to all for thoughts so I have a better perspective going forward.

Thanks for the replies. The only 'estimates' listed with the item is the 'Handling Time' which said 2 days. The auction ended on Tuesday at 1:46 pm. As of Thursday afternoon (2 business days), I had not heard a thing so I sent an email asking about it. It's now Friday evening and still no word. I guess I am just finding it so unusal after probably about 25-30 purchases over the last two months (including one from Japan) all of which went off without a hitch and without 'silence' on when an item shipped'. I suspect I will just try to hold off until Monday and if I havent heard anything, then it is probably time to inquire further.

So Tuesday afternoon I won an ebay auction, for which the 'handling time was listed as 2 business days. As of yesterday I had not heard from the seller or had any indication that the item had been shippied. I sent a message asking when it might be shipped as I have some delivery arrangements with the post office that might need to be made depedning on when it gets shipped.
As of this evening, I still havent heard back from the seller. In the past 2 months I've literally been on a rampage buying tons of things off ebay (mostly Jag stuff) and for every single item, the sellers have always been quick to respond and have always provided quick turn around (almost always within a day of payment) on shipping.
My question has to do with what is proper 'etiquette' for follwoing this up and trying to get some info on shipment. I dont want to be a nag but by the same token, I'd like to know what's going on with the item I have paid for. Are there any standard rules for when you dont get feedback from the seller on shipment? Thanks.

The red status light works and the 'clear/reset' button works as expected. I'll see if I can get better pics ASAP. Thanks for helping.

As soon as I get the chance, I'll crack it open again and take some pics and post them. Maybe there is something there I missed.

Thanks for the detailed response. It actually doesnt look to bad and for a brief moment I almost thought it was the wa it was supposed to look, the missing lines adding some 'variety' to the otherwise bland display. I'm glad the unit works at all and perhaps if it is along the lines of what you are suggesting, I just need to find another unit to try out. They seem to pop up every now and then but of course never with that switch box so I suspect the 'jewel' of my find was the switch box. Thanks again!
-
I recently picked up a CIB (less manual) RCA Studio II. The unit plays its' built in games as exepcted with one small drawback - there are 'missing' vertical lines in the display for every game. I've attached a picture of what this looks like on the bowling. On all the games, the same vertical lines are missing. I've taken a peek inside the switch box and inside the unit (had to fix channel selector, but that was a breeze) and everything looks pretty good and clean. Does anybody know what would cause this condition? Thanks.

Having just figured out how to do the CD burning thing for the Jag and getting CD-Rs that will work with it, I'd almost say that the Reboot titles alone make the JagCD worth it :-)

This is the thread I was referring to:
The S-Video / composite cable is $24; a little more than the $19 you're looking at, but if there are any left, it'd be supporting the community :-)

Pricey and tough to find these days I think but cool to have if you can spring for it.
If the only hook up you have is for the RCA composite, I thought someone on these boards was making a cable that would allow you to do that.

The RCA composite is definitely better than the coax.
