See the last entry on this page - http://www.atariage.com/Jaguar/archives/hardware/index.html Pricey and tough to find these days I think but cool to have if you can spring for it. If the only hook up you have is for the RCA composite, I thought someone on these boards was making a cable that would allow you to do that.
-
The RCA composite is definitely better than the coax.
-
Better yet, spring for a CatBox if one becomes available. :-)

There is someone on eBay trying to sell one of these right now for $400! eBay Auction -- Item Number: 181057014032 Power Drive is a great game. If you have the spare $10-20 at any given time, and are looking to 'collect' a bit, it may be worth taking a chance on some of those Jaguar 'clunkers' that everyone dumps on - you might find that you will find some small enjoyment from them - case in point; despite how bad it really kind of is, I picked up a like new Club Drive (CIB) for about $12 and got a small joy and chuckle playing it and believe it or not, enjoyed it more than than Motocross 3D which I paid more for (NIB) and found frustrating at best so far. Super Burnout is definitely the Jag racing game of choice IMHO. Zoop is a really good game also if you like puzzle type games and so is Flip Out, despite some of the negative reviews out there for it. Bottom line is that even the clunkers can be fun when played from a certain perspective.
-
That looks sweeeet!! Good score!
-
Dont be scared of ebay - over the last month i have picked up about 15 Jag titles, some shrink wrapped NIB, all at very reasonable prices. But if you're looking too, I'm gonna fight ya for a Rayman find - been trying to get my hands on one for a while and my daughter wants it as well (she's 6.5). :-) Welcome to the Jag World!
-
On the day I finally ordered a rotary controller for the Jag, this becomes available! Whoo- Hoo! Order placed w/Console5 - cant wait!
-
Change - found Dino Dudes, now just need Rayman.

Is "powers on but no other way to test" mean it works?
mckafka99 replied to yy958's topic in Classic Computing Discussion
Dispite any claims to 'no refunds or returns' that often get listed with these kind of items, you can always ask the seller through the Ebay messaging system whether they in fact would do a return/refund if you purchase and the item doesnt work. -
I've been tearing up eBay lately filling out my Jag collection, but these two games, nice condition, CIB (new not necessary) seem to be elusive. Anybody have copies to part with at a reaonable price?

Classic Game Creations Still active ?
mckafka99 replied to mckafka99's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Just an update that I received feedback from John today and was able to place an order. -
I was just wondering if anyone knows whether classicgamecreations.com site is still active. I'm lookig to order a YASI for vectrex and an Odyssey 233-in-1 cart but havent seem to have been able to get in touch with the person who runs the site either via email or via the form on the site. Thanks.

Just would like to chime in an express interest on one as soon as they become available. :-)

After using the XM301, I can remember when I got my SX212 back in the day for my 800XL - It was a godsend

It could also be claimed that one is paying for the art work and 'shells' within the app that hold access to a ROM file. So you're paying for the additional artwork and features surrounding the Additional games. Inclusion of the ROMs is a 'free' extra just so people don't have to side load them into the app 'containers' that the developer has coded into the app. But to make it clear, for me as with some others, I would 'prefer' to see an official endorsement from Jay.
-
My bet would be that the explaination is that you are not paying for the ROMS; you are paying for the icade support - the ROMS (free from anywhere) just happen to be included to save people the time from side loading them themselves (if it's possible). Anybody can grab the roms from anywhere and get them on their i-device - the app icade update just makes it easy to put those roms in the app conveniently.

Activision Anthology on App Store tonight!
mckafka99 replied to Flojomojo's topic in Modern Console Discussion
The icade 8 bitty makes this collection a treat. -
Here's a good forum to see how other's experiences have been: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=168113&page=10 I believe the developers may be watching there as well because they have at least one post in that thread responding to some of the issues people are having. (see page 6 of the thread)
-
The 8-bitty is a fantastic iPad companion!
-
After what felt like a forever wait, Vectrex on iOS has finally arrived and all I have to say is that despite the occasional bug I've stumbled upon, this plus an iCade is Vectrex heaven. http://www.vectrexregeneration.com/

Atari Inc. - Business Is Fun Now Available!
mckafka99 replied to Albert's topic in Gaming Publications and Websites
I posted my pic over on this thread earlier - http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/199619-atari-book-countdown-clock-has-started/page__st__175__gopid__2647234#entry2647234 The book IS a beast! - and a great read. I am no where near finished with it, but what spare moments I have, I am putting towards reading it. Have to admit that when I started, I was immediately sucked in and it's tough to put down. My own memories of the 1st EM games I ever saw in the 70's and then the 1st video games I was ever introduced to..so on and so forth. Well, back to work .... though I'd rather be reading. :-) -

Submitted post to /. that the book is available with links back here, to ataribook.com, to amazon and the Syzygy page.
