  1. Looks like a Wordpress site that has been hacked
  2. Just posted a brief 5-star rating in app store. Love this app! Very cool atmosphere!
  3. I was just skimming this topic until I saw the graphic which, for a split second, made me hope there was actually an iOS app for the Vectrex. Not to hijack the thread, but how awesome would an icade enabled Vectrex ios app be? :-). (yes, I do have the real thing, it just doesn't happen to be as 'couch-side' friendly as an iPad)
  4. http://whois.domaint...syzygygames.com - other similar domains registered as well.
  5. Something such as this 'newly' revived thread.... http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/74783-fb3/page__pid__2365818__st__850#entry2365818
  6. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/183529-any-interest-in-a-new-sdrive-nuxx-run/page__st__175 Unfortunately, all the pre-made devices are sold out.
  7. Loving all the new control schemes, especially the translucent overlaid controls in landscape mode! One question, in Red Baron, is there a way to re-calibrate the 'vertical center'? When I hold my ipod straight up/down/level it appears to assume a full 'pull back' on the stick and my view points up as high as it can go. I have to tilt quite a ways forward to find the 'zero'/level position. One thing I have noticed on my ipod touch 2G 16GB is that I will get occasional 'stutters' in game play, not too bad but it is there. I presume this is just my fault for still using an older device.
  8. U1-U3 available now! http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/ultima_1_2_3
  9. Some may find this blog interesting: http://bloggingultima.blogspot.com/2007/02/welcome-avatar.html
  10. Judging by the pictures, looks like the intent would be to call it the Atari ST(Squared).
  11. I hope my feelings are a bit over reactive, but I get a sinking feeling from all of this that this could be the end of an era for the Atari community that has been keeping the spirit alive on the Internet for so many years. I can still recall the first time I ever accessed the Internet (over a decade ago) and one of the first things I looked up was 'Atari' and how exciting it was to see so many sites dedicated to all things Atari. The Internet has brought together Atari fans from all over the world. It would be a shame to see the Atari community splintered because of this. One can only hope that at least this site stays around.
  12. Are you involved with this Flashback 3, then? Or does that information fall under the NDA too? =| Unfortunately it is not a Legacy Engineering product. More info in the 'other' FB3 thread - http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/183139-flashback-3-at-e3-is-it-real/
  13. Am I reading this correctly? http://www.newswire.net/newsroom/permalink/69385.html
  14. I think some of the main draws are: 1)Cost ($25-$35 - doesnt beat a 'free' already existing computer but still very affordable) 2)Form factor 3)Power Consumption (low - "Target power consumption is <1W") 4)HDMI/Composite Output What are some of the other existing devices that are similar in price/form factor/capabilities?
  15. There seemed to be some, perhaps well-deserved, skepticism about the nD project (http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/184117-nd/), and though not specifically a handheld gaming device, what does everyone think of this project? - Raspberry PI - an "ultra-low-cost (~15UKP or 25USD) Linux computer for teaching computer programming to children." http://www.raspberrypi.org/ and the Wiki - http://elinux.org/RaspberryPiBoard
  16. I cant speak for the Goodwill in Rockland, but for the Goodwill So. Portland, every once in a while I find something of value. For example, this past weekend I found a fully functional Microsoft Sidewinder USB joystick for 1.99.
  17. "18 classic arcade games, 92 Atari 2600 games " Complete list - http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/06/atari-brings-100-retro-titles-to-ios-in-ataris-greatest-hits/ For me, there's only one 'Atari' arcade game (among those that the current 'Atari' could legally release) missing that I would have liked to have seen - Quantum. Here's to hoping a future update brings this game on board.
  18. You may wish to check out this thread - http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/180038-massive-atari-collection-for-iphone-launches-tonight/ The last I knew, there was still to be another update to the collection at some time that was going to introduce more control options.
  19. And once you own a system and are fully addicted to it, and cant live without it, for 'on-the-go' there is a great emulator for it - http://vectrex-emu.blogspot.com/
  20. At the top of the thread/topic you want to watch, click on the 'watch topic' button. You will be taken to a page where you will be asked 'how' you would like to 'watch' (by getting an email notification or not). After you have chosen, on the main forums page, right hand side toward the bottom, find 'Watched Content', click on 'topics', toggle 'topic with no new' to see topics you are watching.
  21. There is an indoor Flea Market in Scarborough, ME that has a bunch of used video games, although not 'real-old-school-stuff'. Their Facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Southern-Maine-Indoor-Flea-Market/159155227430889 There is also the Cascade Flea Market which is on Rt 1 in Saco. There is one booth there which carries quite a bit used video game items, but again, it's usually not the old school stuff. Admittedly though, in the last 3 years, I have picked up a decent 4-switch 2600, quite a few 2600 carts (not the best shape but working)and also found my Sears Video Pinball unit there as well. At another booth, I also found an original xbox for $20.
  22. Has anyone seen/heard of this yet? http://the-nd.com/
  23. A 5200 version of Demon Attack can be found in post #3 of this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/180007-atari-5200-ultimate-sd-cartridge-roms-project/ Thanks. I should have added "on an actual 5200 cart" to my previous entry. It is the only way I will play them. How about these: http://www.8bitclassics.com/Shop/vmchk/Atari/5200/Homebrew/amax-demonattack-Demon-Attack.html?pop=0 (not sure about this one, but you can always reach out and see if they are still available) http://www.atarimax.com/freeshippingsale/
