I have been considering getting that, as it's way cheaper than the Neo Geo version and unlike the reissue Andro Dunos, which is of unknown quality, I'm not too worried about my Dreamcast getting killed by the new Andro Dunos port. I did get the Dreamcast version of Andro Dunos II, so maybe I'll get the Dreamcast Andro Dunos to go with it. I still try to get this new Japanese AES Andro Dunos reissue, though. It would be pretty nice to have a not-illegal Japanese AES Andro Dunos in a hard case, as the original is unfortunately a soft box game and I greatly prefer the hard cases and everyone else probably does as well.
I think I will try sending them an email about the quality of these carts to see what they say. I'll let everyone know what they say when they get back to me.
Alright, I just emailed PixelHeart to politely ask them about the voltages of their AES carts and their AES cart PCB quality and stuff. I specifically asked them to tell me what the voltage of the carts is, so hopefully they give me the correct number! Hopefully they get back to me soon. I'll let you guys know what they say.
Hey Steven I have a few Pixel Heart AES games : Ganryu, Neo Drift Out, and Bang Bang Bros. I have no idea about voltages but all work perfectly on my AES. The quality of the printing on the insert is sharper than the original games but has a slightly flatter (as in less shiny/vibrant) finish than the official games. The snap lock box is custom made and feels slightly less high quality than SNK's version but still pretty good. I would buy more of their games - if I didn't have to pay import charges now that the UK has left the EU. Hope that helps.

Great work in this thread Anthony 👍
I like those AST coasters! I am need of some at the moment.
I'm not 100% sold on the design of Mai in the new KOF tho. She looks a bin generic somehow. Maybe her face isn't quite right? - her features seem a bit too sharp. I am fussy tho!

I like those pub mirrors. Wish they sold those in UK.
Looking forward to Hypernoid too! I remember when NeoHomebrew made that submarine schmup. Reminded me of In The Hunt by Irem. Wonder if he will go back to that one day?

Thank you for all that you done in the community over the years Riko. The content that you and the NG4L forum had to offer is legendary. We wish you and the NeoGeoForever forum all the best and to just just a successful its predecessor.....
Great to see that you also have a profile here as well and happy that you enjoy the many Atari products as well. I like the Jaguar, the Lynx, the 2600, and the Atari ST. Excellent choices and have those three in the collection.
Thank you for posting with us Riko. Always a pleasure to see you posting away and contributing to the Neo-Geo community kind sir. Keep up the great work and see you soon on the Neo-Geo thread bro.
Anthony.
Much appreciate it Anthony. The NeoGeoForLife forum was created and run by Kazuya(Stuart) so he deserves full credit for that. But we hope to definitely recreate what the site offered - and a little more....
You are a big Atari fan there. I think my first brushes with Atari were the coin-ops like Marble Madness and Paper Boy - really great games!. Actually missed out on all the home systems until later in life. But enjoying playing the games I missed now.
Steven - Great purchase there and pretty amazing to see a Hyper Neo Geo 64 in the wild!

Hi Everyone! Sorry about my forum name - I regret choosing that now 🙂
Charlie Cat kindly invited me here to tell you about our new Neo Geo forum. Neo Geo Forever is the new home to the community from the now sadly closed NeoGeoForLife (NG4L) site. We aim to offer the same friendly feel as that site - where you can talk about Neo Geo, compete in high score challenges, play game tournaments or chat on our discord channel.
Website Link : Neo Geo Forever
Neo Geo Forever Twitter Account
The forum is very new (just a few weeks) so some of these features are still under construction. We also hope to get many of the magazine scans, games manuals, and games reviews that were on the NG4L site up on the new one. Fortunately many of us (myself included) still have the old scans lurking on our old storage devices! Anyone is welcome to join, you don't even need to own a Neo Geo - you can just be interested in the system or indeed SNK itself. We talk about all games on there and even random things like food or tattoos
I do have a bit of background in Atari myself since I was an Atari Jaguar owner. I regret selling that now but particularly liked how many of the 3D games were the next step in evolution on from what you got on the ST and the Amiga. E.g. Iron Soldier, Cybermorph etc It always felt like most of the Playstation 3D games went a different route. Also this last few months I have been playing Atari 2600 and Lynx games on my Evercade. Adventure being a particular favourite. Classic!
Best wishes and a big thank you to Charlie Cat - Riko (from NGF)

Hi. I managed to get the Jaguar working now - I've been playing CyberMorph. The problem actually turned out to be my Doom cartridge (it was the only loose cartridge in the bundle - so naturally I tried to play it first - got no power light and prseumed the console to be dead. When I place it in the slot and turn the console on - most of the time nothing happens - ie the power doesn't come on at all. Occassionaly the power light will come on, but then I get a white flashing on my TV screen and some loud noises, but the game doesn't load.
Is this a common problem - do you think I could fix it by cleaning the cartridge? Does anyone know how to open the cartridge? I thought if the game isn't working now - then I can't make things much worse.
Thnaks for any help.

Thank you very much for the welcome ZeroSquare and Dreamcastrip! I'm pretty sure I did put the cartridge into the machine first, but I will check just to make sure. If this is not the problem that it could very well be the internal voltage regulator so I will have a go at fixing it. It will be nice (eventually) to play some Jaguar games on it!
Thanks again!

Hello everyone - I'm new to the forum. I bought a Jaguar and a bundle of games a while back. I knew when I bought it that the Jaguar didn't work, but I figured I might be able to fix it (optimism!) I have always been into video games and I am interested in all the old systems. The jaguar is boxed and has all its leads etc. What happens is when I plug it in, nothing happens. (the power light doesn't come on) I know that the power supply is working (because I tried it on another console).
I am hoping this is a commom problem and could be solved with some solder or something simple. Does anyone know what might be wrong? I'd really appreciate any help. I found quite a few sites on the internet detailing how to make repairs on the Jag CD Unit , but nothing (yet) on the base console itself.
Just one more question - I read about a simple mod you can do on the UK Jaguar to make it play games at 60Hz. Does this mean that if I did this - all my UK games would play just like US games? I used to have an Amiga and you could force it into 60HZ but a lot of the games which had been specially made for 50hz play then ran too fast. I just want to play games at the speed they were meant to be played - not too fast - or too slow.
What happens if you play UK games on a US Jag. Does it switch to 50Hz mode?
Thank you very much for any help - I am looking forward to playing on my Jaguar (soon!)

Yes sorry I have no experience in doing that, and don't want to risk damaging the label or carts. Did you hear back from Pixel Heart yet?
